That's the thing about first seasons, sometimes they may take their time slowly introducing characters. It also took them a bit of time to introduce Bobby and later Clyde's parents.
And personally I wouldn't mind if she gets more focus if she's just taking some of Clyde's screentime.

I assumed this would've been the inevitable outcome regardless of fan-reaction. Most animated shows tend to do that, stick with a character and grow them out for a season after they've run out of exciting and novel ideas.
