What happens there?
Not much I guess, being the country with the lowest population density on earth (only 1,9 people per km2).
I kinda want to go there.

Bump. I too would like to hear about Mongolia.
I know they drink fermented milk and have these traditional songs with low pitched voice (which are really cool btw), but that's about it.
Its a peaceful agricultural country
They are still living like Genghis and Kublai did in their own time and they're not giving a fuck about the outer world.
They're breeding horses, using elks to carry their goods, using eagles to hunt wolfs and drinking koumiss.
I've seen Mongolian posters before, but not recently.
Weirdly I've been thinking about this recently too
It's a big country and I know nothing about it, other than that presumably the Mongols came from that area originally
Based people.
Mongolian throat singing is about the only thing i know about their culture except that they keep attacking city wok. I dig the two string violin cello hybrid. Sounds like something off of the firefly sound track.
This shit's pretty good 2bh
You'll get the same experience with modern commodities in Finland.

It's actually from Tanna Tuva, but that's just right over the border. Fucking rad song
Also, could've got a job in Ulan-Bator, but refused when I researched the climate. They apparently have huge problems with smog and the air is very polluted. I have asthma, so it wouldn't went so well.
>It's a big country
It's a big desert. It has a population of 3 million.
My mate spent two weeks there last year and he told me that Ulaanbaatar is still recovering from communism but it was an interesting city. The economy is benefitting greatly from fossil fuels and will probably see a boom over the next decade. He said it's probably at a similar stage to where Chinese cities were in the 80s when their development really started to grow exponentially. At the outer edges of the city people are still living in teepees and shit. The entire rest of the country is a desert and the people are nomadic.
From what I gather it's probably not worth going out of your way to visit, there's not a whole lot there.
Basically Ulanbaator (the capital) is a forced city where the mongolians just had to build because of embassies and ministries needed to be stable and not move around.
wrestling. eagles. hordes
The country is famous for its steppes. Its the perfect place to ride a horse. Natural life is well protected.
Actually, it is the perfect place to live a life like Jack London or Thoreau.
It's awesome. I'm not into world music usually but I love the gloomy/grim vibe it has.
Ulan Bator doesn't look like a nice city from the pics I've seen.
nazis
wtf i love mongolia now
