probably foreshadowing of arya taking sides with enemy or something

It clearly should have been directed by Snyder.

well obviously they'll try something and she'll kill them all.

are maybe cut their throats in their sleep because LANNISTERS REEEEEEE

It's a subtle message to the viewer, in these times of intense Islamophobia
#notAllLannisters

This. They are going to demonize Arya now after she inevitably slays these dindu nuffin Lannisters.

Turgoose is clearly going to try the rapey rapey

>Kylo Ren lookalike: "so what's a nice girl like you doing here"?
all my trust for this group vanished at that point. I knew they were rapey from the start

brovo dabid

#NotAllLannisters

white men are not nice unless they're going to inevitably rape you.
This is what Marxist Jew Hollywood teaches us, and we need to trust that they know what they're doing.
Clearly, these are all just rapists waiting to gang rape her mediocre ass.
It's too bad she didn't run into a group of harmless, kind, totally tolerant moslems.

Imagine the butthurt from teenage girls and single women in their 30s if Ed Sheeren turns out to play a violent child-rapist.

>there's no way this doesn't turn out with them trying to rape her and her killing them all

>they all sit down and have a nice conversation

huh. so the rape's coming next episode?

Holy fuck she is ugly

Look at that fucking face

She's uglier than before, not sure if character development, method acting or something else.

How did they know she was a girl before she spoke?

purpose? humanize them, give them a face and not just LANNESTURS R EVIL N SHIET THEYRE A HIVEMIND. Up until then people forget that most of the people doing the fighting are just kids or people trying to do right by their families, put food on the table, make their father proud.

they're throwing the men a bone with all the female power bullshit.

Considering most soldiers are regular johns trying to support themselves and get murdered regularly, they bond and are generally kind to other poor strangers.

Arya never met any soldier that wasn''t some kind of Noble guard of rich assholes and mercenaries.

This episode took time to reflect on the starving people in the cabin, and the soldirs fighting a war for a incestuous queen with no line of succession..

Kek

>episode 2
>Ed Shiraz shows up
>wakes up his friends
>they all brandish their penises
>pounce on sleeping girl
>Ed shiri goes full anal penetration, no lube
>lets friend have turn
>pounces on friend and booty blasts him
>everyone's all like wtf
>Ed Sharing Slits guys throat
>turns around
>busts a nut so fat it shoots through 2 guys heads
>shoves his cock into the eye of another
>double fists the last man and tears him apart at the asshole
>rips off face
>it was jackin huagar all along

Still a more believable scene that the one I just watched.

They should have been passing her around like the wine-skin...

so fucking cringe, almost as bad as ciri with the bloody barons men when they suddenly forget they're supposed to be horrid chauvinistic rapists and treat her like 'one of the lads' when if they were being realistic they'd all be trying to make a pass on her

>Implying there will ever be another rape scene after the last shitstorm

>implying the bloody baron would let that happen

This was one of the worst scenes this show has ever done.
It felt like a shitty fanfic

So they can be killed in the next episode, duh

Can't have Ed Sheeran raping people on TV

>Are you old enough to drink?

This scene felt so forced and out of place.

I could of bought the niceness, but they seemed utterly untouched by any kind of misfortune. The whole scene seemed incredibly... out of whack with the rest of the series

I would have appreciated a few more of these scenes - just as proof that, like the real world, not everyone is either a badass or a fucking psychopath.

But they didn't put the scene in to prove that. It's just there so that Ed Sheeran could have a cameo. It's always surface level with GOT.

That's actually a good question, considering she's spent the entire series pretending to be a boy up until now. But now that Ed Shareen is on the show she's a girl all of a sudden and not genderless anymore.

It felt like one of those special scenes shows did sometimes to raise awareness for a cause, like when TNG did a video for the Comic Relief charity drive.

youtube.com/watch?v=Hra0I-w3XBY

Like, the actors are in their costumes and they're on the set, but they're not really playing their characters too seriously, the dialogue is pretty cringy and it's all to promote something they feel strongly about.

Which I guess this time was... Ed Sheeran?

I think it was meant to humanize the enemy in arya's mind

WHOAH

it all..... makes sense now.....

Yeah I feel certain they're legit nice guys and Arya is going to murder them anyway because she is now xXx_Arya_Shadow_elit3_xXx

That was Jon's scene too
muh "im not gonna punish treason because #notallkarstarks #notallumbers"

It's almost like they are trying to make the audience feel a certain way

I actually didn't know what Ed Sheeran looked like so I didn't make that connection. The scene really worked like you described, showing us some nice people for a change and that was all.

No Jon was right. Sins of the father bullshit is why we have to deal with white guilt pandering to this day.

oh, that's definitely the goal of the scene (if you discount the Ed shilling). They just don't fit the current attitude of the world at all. Everything's going to shit and they're completely untouched, singing, joking, and drinking - seemingly unchanged and undamaged by the last few years.

ugly people need to be shot

WHOAHH

that's....so....smart.....

At least the one last season, with the Hound killing that guy who does impressions on youtube was kinda funny though that was mainly because of Rory.

This was just so out of tone with the rest of the show it was jarring.

Back when everyone drank ale because you couldn't trust the water they still had a weak watery version for kids, a tiny bit stronger one for teens and women and then the hard liquor for the proper drinkers and soldiers. Asking a young girl whether she's old enough to be drinking some hard stuff is eminently plausible. Do remember that the character isn't as old as the actress. She's still supposed to look like a young girl. And the soldiers are supposed to at least seem like innocent good boys who'd care to ask such a thing instead of just throwing her the skin.

I'm getting rapey vibes from the weird guy who kept being nice to her. Calling it, he's gonna die after probably trying to raep

#Not all Lannisters

I think the scene was just to show the human side of soldier life and that they're not all out for rape and pillaging.

God Maisie really turned out ugly. She was a very cute kid though, but now that I think of it I know a bunch of cute kids that grew up looking pretty ugly. I guess the best you can hope for is being a homely kid and growing up into a swan 2bh

>Blondie: Sings soulful song
>Bugeyes: Talks about how he likes making wine and his misses his family
>Kylo Ren: Likeable guy
Its obviously set up for Arya killing them all, to show how bad ass and edgy she is that she'll kill any redcape no matter how nice they seem.

Pointless scene tbqh.

We don't know if they're nice yet though. They seemed like they were hiding something or planning to rape her.

Arya is going to rape them.

The only logical explanation is that they thought she was a boy, and since she is ugly as hell, they didn't bother with rapey.

>get into acting as a kid playing the main character in a movie and actually do well(miles above Arya and Sansa anyway)
>proceed to play that character in a lauded tv-show follow-up where you're equally good as you grow up
>get a role on the biggest show on television
>your defining characteristic when people describe the scene is "the weird guy"

Being Turgoose is suffering. The lad needs to fix those eyes.

>trying to rape the girl with superpowers and a big fucking sword who is under your bosses protection
>after she caught dinner for the next few weeks making your life easier

Most child actors that started out cute end up ugly.
>Masie Williams
>Ron Howard
>Macaulay Culkin
>Steven Anthony Lawrence
>Mara Wilson

They never age well.

Also the kid from the 6th sense. I guess being a cute kid is suffering

Can't believe I forgot him. The interesting thing about him and a few of the others I listed, is that they still look a lot like they did as kids which is why they look so fucked up.

Haley Joel Osments face is exactly the same, but it looks so wrong on an obese adult body with that neck beard because it looks like a child's face. You have to wonder if some surgery was involved in making him still look like that.

At least Macaulay Culkin and Ron Howard look like actual adults regardless of how ugly they are.

>HEY ME WIFE HAD A KID
>oh, what gender?
>OH I DONT KNOW

How do you know your wife gave birth successfully, but not if it was a boy or girl?

They were way too wholesome for medieval soldiers. You're telling me a bunch of medieval soldiers are all family men and not bloodthirsty rapists?

Because you can know well ahead of time when your baby is due.
She could have miscarried for all he knows

Counterpoint:

Re-watch the scene you smurf

>"My wife just had our first baby"

This is exactly what it felt like

It was kind of nice.
GoT did something that wasn't OMG SO EDGY XDDDD for once in it's fucking life.
Most soldiers are just regular dudes with a wife and children, and not pillaging rapists.

>learn in june that your baby is due in October
>deployed in July
>still in service once November rolls around
>"My wife just had our first baby but I don't know what gender it is"
Subtext my dude

>ravens don't carry the news to us

D&D has been at the whole 'this entire faction is evil, look how evil these random citizens are' for so long, I guess they realized they should show more of the greys GRRM intended. But then of course they went overboard with it as well

Forgot to add any same person would optimistically assume the birth was a success if they can't receive news of it

He hasn't decided xir gender yet.

is THIS IS coming back?

nice to see him though

I know it's not directly comparable, but as someone in the military that matches what most real life soldiers are like, so it didn't seem terribly out of place.

When you get endlessly shit on by people orders of magnitude above you every day, you tend to be friendly to other regular people.

>Defending bad writing

And I'm not 10. I understand that he must ASSUME his baby was born successfully, for the scene to make sense. No need to explain the obvious.

But you really get the idea that he had received a message telling him that his wife had given birth. They probably get words from home sometimes.
He says "Just had our baby", sounds pretty firm and confirmed to me.

I'm not doubting that or anything. It's just they all seemed overly friendly and didn't rib her at all or joke a bit. They all just seemed like they could be characterized as 'nice soldier' without any personality or anything. I don't think any of them needed to be hostile or rude or anything but the scene just felt weird to me

its just supposed to show there are good people on her enemies side

then later in the episode the hound sees some innocent people who didn't deserve to die

thats all

Well I never said D&D are good writers.
Just that the scene itself was kind of nice to see for once.

Na she is actually alright in this scene. But in the opening scene at the dinner table, she was ugly as fuck

honestly think nymaria and her wolf pack are gonna destroy them and then attack her but they recognize each other

Jaime stops some of his men from raping Pia in the books so maybe this is reflective of how Jaime is trying to maintain order in the 3 kingdoms that the crown still controls. Tywins rape and burn the trout fuckers didn't work and backfired horribly with the bwb

>tfw jaime is going to die because cersei is retarded

jesus christ british people are ugly

tfw this was actually a good scene with a simble purpose (humanize the enemy and get the audience to empathize with the average soldier) but Sup Forums is too autistic to appreciate it because REEEEEEEEEEEEE ARYA IS FOR NORMIES REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHERE IS (((OUR GUY))) REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

fucking kys nerds

How will she end up in Winterfell if she's going south

U FUKIN WOT M8 I SAY THAT 2 MY FUKIN FACE AND I WILL GIVE U AND UR MUM A RITE GUD SMAK LAD, FOOKIN CHEEKY KUNT U R

im gonna kill the queen! rawr xD

Whatever floats your "I'm superior even tho I'm a stupid nobody" boat

For one moment pretend that the scene showed the Lannister soldiers to be sadistic and murderous rapists like everybody is acting they should have been. Arya would have slaughtered them all due to her plot armor and knowing DnD she'd probably chop off their penises or something while cracking a joke.

And then you'd have everybody here bitching and moaning about how all white men are being portrayed as incompetent monsters.

Welcome to Sup Forums

She'll hear news of Jon (and maybe Sansa and Bran) being alive, then change her mind

This was actually a decent moment. Actually humanizing the common people, rather than shitting on them by making them idiots or cartoonishly evil.

You really just proved his point desu

It did feel a bit out of place but it was refreshing to have a scene like this

sorry unrelated but how does theon pee after he got his penis cut off?

just google 'how do eunuchs or castrated men, (whatever the term is) urinate'

im sure you can find something detailing urination

He still has a hole. It's probably pretty messy though.

Like a girl. Duh.

I've always imagined that Theon just left him with a nub for a penis, actually. Just because it seems a crueller fate for Theon. He'd still be getting hardons and shit all the time because he's a horny git, but wouldn't be able to get off because it's just the base left.

eunuchs and castrated men still have their penis not their testicles so they just pee through their penis

but theon has no penis but still has his balls but he cant pee through his balls

It's way too late for that.

And it was bullshit tunt casting, as you know well. They didn't organically write this scene to show that the Lannisters are people too. They wrote so Ed fucking Sheeran of all people could have a cameo.

Those are fair points. People should be making those points. Not sperging out about "#notallLannisters" and "lewl humanization fuck that"

Bullshit tunt casting, or cunt tasting bullshit?

I thought this was a good scene despite the Ed Sheeran crap

It means once Cersei gets murderfucked by a zombie giant, the Lannisters have no reason to be idiot fuckbags anymore and actually fight the goddamn zombies coming down from the north.
