It was a TV show based on Powers.
No one knew that shit existed
It was Playstation exclusive
That last arc was decent but that budget was not even SyFy tier. Dwell on that.
I thought this was the DC sitcom for a second.
Wasn't it Sony exclusive? Like you had to have some Sony account to watch it?
yes
Damn it. It was so bad it was good.
>only on playstation
Saw him at eccc and he did a lame ass panel on the show. Good riddance, the show blows, he's a hack and I can't wait for somone less shit to lead marvel
>budget was not even SyFy tier
Saw the pilot and it looked cheap as fuck, also being a Playstation exclusive didn't help matters.
Budget was awful, it suffered from Bendis pacing, and frankly wasn't debaucherous enough to make up for the only way to see it was to watch it on an exclusive streaming network.
This
Also it was a Playstation exclusive show so even if there was an audience for it no one knew it existed
>inb4 Netflix picks it up and advertises it as "From the creator of Jessica Jones"
...
FINALLY WE CAN LAUGHT AT BENDIS AND NOT CRY/RAGE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE!
That's not funny. That's not funny at all.
Good, I hate that Bendis acted like this cheap piece of shit was actually worth anything other than stroking his own ego.
You don't understand user, if the show was succesful, people would have asked Bendis to write other show and he would stop writting comics.
1.it wasn't on netflix
2. I never even knew this show was thing
3. What is this show?
4.Literally who?
Do I need to keep going on
Bendis should have pitched this show to HBO or AMC
Do you honestly think he didn't?
Sony opted it for a movie way back in 2001, and in 2009 it was supposed to be a series for FX with Sony co-producing, a pilot was shot in 2011, but it got stuck in reshoot hell and FX eventually bailed, leaving Sony to do the only thing it could with the license, and use it to try and push the dumb idea of videogame TV shows.
He does write for tv shows, cartoons to be exact.
Some of the worst episodes of the worst Spider-Man show.
There were 2 seasons of a superhero show I hadn't even heard about? I also thought this was about DC's new Sitcom.
What was it about?
Adaptation of Bendis 'Powers' comic
It's a miracle that s2 even happened. Show was an absolute garbage in every way
How was Sharlto Copley in it?
shekels
When was it supposed to come out?
it was shit.
they advertised it as playstation only when you could watch that shit on crackle. but nobody knew.
crackle has a shit interface.
the fucking show was worse than sharknado casting and writing and might i add sharknado is the biggest fucking joke on earth.
I remember seeing an ad for this. I thought it was supposed to be a parody because all the superhero stuff that is out now.
>Marvel makes the best TV shows
>I thought it was supposed to be a parody
Looking at the costumes I don't blame you
And I was upset that sony took some shitty comic for adaptation and not Darker than Black animu.
AHAHAHAHA
PLAYSTATION LOSES ANOTHER """EXCLUSIVE"""
>Season 2 was the last
THERE WAS A SEASON ONE?
Also, ahah, fuck you bendis.
>Marvel
Powers moved from Image to Marvel Icon in 2004, but yeah, Marvel had zero input in it, that user is retarded.
That's too bad I guess. Powers could make a good show but the budget was laughable and I doubt most people even knew it existed.
I didn't realize Ben Edlund worked on that show.

>In 2015, he became a writer for the second season of the Sony PlayStation Network original series Powers.[3]
What was people's reactions to Bendis' appearance at E3 back when Powers was announced?
>Oh shit, it's the Kingpin!
Kingpin
Playstation/Crackle only show. Not even once. If it couldn't get on Hulu or Netflix, it should have given up.
>Bendis
>stop writing comics
I would sell my soul for that.
>It was Playstation exclusive
Just like console exclusive games, I'll never care enough to spend hundreds of dollars to buy into an ecosystem for a couple dozen hours of entertainment.
>implying bendis can't write 10 comics and 5 tv shows at the same time
Now that he's free, we can expect another 3 ongoings from him right
>there are people who seriously thought he was gonna leave Guardians of the Galaxy
Pretty much this.
Sadly it also means Bendis will stay at Marvel for the even longer haul since he can't find success on his own.
He said he pitched it as a movie and to other networks, no one wanted it until Sony then did it as a Playstation Exclusive.
Sup Forums was to call him Kingpin and lol at him
Sup Forums was just like "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS FAT FUCK? WORST E3 REEEEEEE!"
Well he can't. I mean I know technically he does, but he really can't.
He can't, but that wouldn't have stopped him.
To be fair, even if I liked Bendis that was an inexcusable amount of conference time to devote to him.
Thank you
