>Someone makes a weapon
>Decides to use it

It was
Even after hiroshima the japanese goverment didnt give up
The subsequent invasion would have killed more americans AND japs

...

Nice argument

nah you're just being retard

Nice argument

i don't care if it was.
japs deserved it.
should've nuked more cities

t. Takeshi Albuquerque

Yes, I prefer napalm too.

invasion of mainland would've just resulted in a bloodier stalemate

They actually wanted to give up after the first bomb was used. The Japanese wanted to surrender but let the Japanese emperor have his position. The US refused and then they used the second atomic bomb which lead to the Emperor of Japan to abdicate.

>Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not necessary but worth the outcome
>more bombs should have been dropped

>NATO bombing of Yugoslavia was necessary

How about not invading or dropping another bomb ?
How about getting a peace deal done, but no americans had to humiliate the japanese.

>The Japanese wanted to surrender but let the Japanese emperor have his position.
then they didn't surrender

>The US refused and then they used the second atomic bomb which lead to the Emperor of Japan to abdicate.
you even admit that it was the second atomic that did the trick here

They deserved it after Pearl Harbor

The thread is going to end in the conclusion that bombs are great.
You guys suck

>the Serbs were in the wrong

Not only that, but Japan was "War Crimes: The Country"

Bombs are great and burgers dindu nuffin.

you know nothing about war
the japs kept fighting, they wouldn't accept a peace deal
making them surrender was the only way

Its over.
OP delet thread pls

They were in fact handy in ending it fast.

They lost all their gains and had no resources at all they've just looked for a honorauble way to end the war. They couldn't and didn't want to fight.
A ceasefire agreement from the US first and a peace deal would have worked.

The Japanese see the Emperor as a god figure. He didn't have real power as you would think.

The medical advances the japanese made in WWII were worth all the so called """""war crimes """"""

Hiroshima, Nagasaki drop some bombs and drink some sake

if the japanese had wanted a peace agreement they had proposed one themselves

still they obeyed him which was the point

Honestly we are lucky that they didnt make the bomb a few months sooner. If they did, they would drop it most likely in central europe.

It was just a test on real people.

It would be a test on real people if they would've dropped it on central europe.

>blames everything on the americans
>then goes on to say the japanese didn't commit war crimes
wow i sure am dealing with a non-biased, sane person here

the emperor was quite irreverent with the real power divided among regional fiefdoms

And Hitler attempted peace after britain and france declared war (and then sat and did nothing) what manner of logic is in this thread
If we dropped more nukes we might have prevented weebs from ever existing. Could you imagine how much good that would have done for the world?

so?
if there wasn't anything to stop the japanese from surrendering they would have done it
you not making an awful lot of sense

that's true

>in central europe
So? As long as that central Europe was Germany, I wouldn't mind

They surrendered because they didn't want a third bomb to be dropped on Tokyo and even less on the imperial palace.

Also the emperor back then didn't abdicate. Are you retarded? They gave up, but only with the condition that the emperor would be left alone. He didn't even get incarcerated for his war crimes.

I'm saying the Emperor is just a figurehead. It's like declaring war on the UK and demand that Queen Elizabeth to abdicate

Nuclear waste for some weird reason doesnt follow political borders.

And that argument could be made about numerous other individuals that are the face of their country but have far more limited power than is commonly attributed to them. The emperors had plenty of influence even if they weren't the driving hand. We already forced them to adopt a constitution we wrote and also wanted the emperor gone. This isnt complicated in wanting the "figurehead" of a fucked up genocidal regime to not remain as a figurehead after the war is over.

...

>bosnians are european

In a war the life of your boys are worth 1,000 times the life of any enemy.

They were not necessary, but more of OUR troops would have died. It was the right call to force immediate surrender.

They can only experiment with yellow monkeys.

Go to bed Radovan Nice trips tho

Right right. The only threads that can exist on Sup Forums are shitty generals

no

Did already you forget how they bombed Prague around that time?
>Whoops, sorry, we were going after Dresden

0 thought here. We were dragged into a major European conflict for the 2nd time. We landed in North Africa, Italy, Normandy. After the war we had the Marshall plan and truman doctrine all authored as attempt to protect Europe (and us as well ofc) from the ussr. We airdropped shit into berlin to keep them from starving at Russian hands. There is no real world situation in which we drop a nuke on europe. If you want to learn about needless European devastation look no further than Arthur Harris don't falsely attribute it to the American regime.
The Japanese surprise attacked us when the American government and public had no desire for a formal war. The Japanese were as despicable in China and the Philippines and brutalized our pows. The Japanese even after we clearly won gave us a middle fingered and suggested through all this their emperor remain in his mostly meaningless position. We should have nuked the country to bits

Because huge investment must be collected.

But if he was just a figurehead then the japanese could just have ignored him
They didnt
You dont make sense

though the Emperor of Japan offered to take the blame for the war crimes. but his offer was rejected.

I dont give a single shit about japanese and what they did at "war" with civilian population of other nations. Russians, germans, even fucking poles and other nations behaved like animals. And that is normal, everybody behaves like animal when lives are at stake. War brings the worst out of people. The only difference is that the winners write history so you can read in history books about the cruelties only from the losers side.

You could bomb the shit out of japanese with conventionals bombs just fine. But your generals had brand new toy to use and wanted to see its effects in real world application. You had perfect excuse to use it and so you did.

I am just glad we werent the practice target. If the war was in germans favor, i am pretty sure czechia would be nice testing place to "persuade" hitler to give up.

Oh boy hitler shouldn't have killed himself! He could taken blame for his crimes and remained an influential member of German society :^)
A fact heavily ignored in this thread is that the adversarial Japanese literally going to the extreme of suicide diving planes into our warships were only going to surrender to nukes or mainland invasion. And the important thing is they did not only make enemies our of the US, but they were longstanding enemies with Russia. Russia had a huge portion of their forces along their eastern border anticipating a Japanese invasion when Hitler invaded. Zhukov getting back for the battle of Moscow was easily the moment Hitler began losing. Interesting correlation between the ussr turning the tide and frantic action among the other allied powers
If we didn't invade or nuke Japan the ussr would have invaded. If we didn't pull together all the allied troops at dday the ussr easily takes the entirety of Europe. After the date hit 1942 the war from the allied perspective was more about boxing in the ussr than defeating the already reeling axis powers.

Again absolutely no attempt at thought by this poster.

the queen to is just a figurehead and yet people listen somewhat to her... you should know since you live in a monarchy people like to look up to a single person rather than a government in whole

Please bless the sorry prisoners in Hiroshima.

>the japs did not deserve it

The mental acrobatics weebs go through to protect their delusion is astonishing

>japan
>accepting blame for war crimes
Really doing a think right now. Hmm hmm

It was a power play to scare the Russians.
Also Truman was a bloody Mason and both Hiroshima and Nagasaki were big Catholic areas of Japan. Stay woke.

>Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not enough and constituted an act of misplaced clemency on the part of the Allies

It seemed that he was determined with masked information.

It seemed that he was determined with masked information.

So?
It again means that they didnt surrender when they could have

Nothing personnel

>have millions of people die from impending US/soviet landfall, with women/children/families commiting sempuku rather than just admitting defeat
>reduce damages to two cities and scare the japanese government into surrender

yah ,tough choice

Yeah I hope Nuclear war happens in some time. This whole nuke joke is annoying asf, so yeah the entire world should be nuked.

So, they see him as a god but would still violate his will?

Ok let's start with Japan again

Biblical fundamentalists can not be saved.
┐(´д`)┌

>nuclear waste
Minimal traces would go far enough to affect other countries

It was an accident. I'm pretty sure they would aim a bit better with a nuke on board.

>generals would rather bomb an occupied territory than Germany proper
You were dropped on the head in your formative age, weren't you?

>utilitarianism

dumbfuck

...
