Never. I was raised atheist. I grew into it at 21/22

I was raised atheist and always felt a void in my life. Found God when I was 17. Now it's my duty to spread his love. I have personally housed 3 Syrian refugees.

People who can't or won't reason at all are often religious. People who reason a little become atheists. People who reason a lot, as far as reason can take them, and don't hold the world at the distance of their intellects become nihilists.

Those people either go into denial, try to will meaning and value into existence to paint over the void, dedicate themselves to a life of hedonism, commit physical suicide, commit soul suicide (Buddhist enlightenment), hug a horse and go insane, or turn towards the living Truth and become Christian.

A sane, conscious, complete and authentic life is not possible without a conscious connection to God.

God gave us reason. It's a great tool, but it is not a source of meaning, value, goodness or rightness. Pure reason can only take you to a state of doubt, uncertainty and despair, and disintegrate your sense of self. (That despair might not be conscious though. See The Sickness Unto Death)

As a worldview I prefer the religious to the atheistic in some sense because it recognizes that a great deal about the world may not be a bare fact but may still be the case; I am more of a spiritualist than anything but I do love jesus too
