What are your thoughts and opinions on Martin Luther King Jr.? I personally love the guy. He spoke out against real injustices, practiced non-violence, and was murdered for it.

I don't think he'd stand behind it at all. I think he'd probably describe the movement as a group created by confused African American youths who are, in a sad way, filled with a lot of hatred.
I agree, I bet he would have been a lovely person to discuss things with. He wished that his children would not be judged by the colour of their skin, but the content of their character and I absolutely stand behind that.
I think he stood for absolute equality, not favoring one side or the other.
He was a good man. His role may be overplayed, since he became sort of a mythological figure after his death, but he was still important.

MLK had a 20-30% approval rating with white people when he was alive, if you think he would be against BLM you are one of the 70-80% that would have disliked him.

You're basing that on an idea where you have to take for granted that he would choose to 'side' with the BLM movement, so basically what you're saying can't be backed up by anything unless you present something that compares/contrasts his opinions with those of the BLM movement.
MLK didn't support the Black Panthers because they would reverse what he was trying to do. Same with BLM, their violence is the opposite of what MLK wants

MLK's wet dream was total integration, and that actually never happened because white people are still so racist that instead of wanting to convert blacks to the broader American culture, we have to appreciate differences and pay them back with forced elevation and reparations instead of expecting all American people to culturally homogenize.
In Martin Luther King's ideal America, there would be no ghettos, and blacks and whites would do business together and work together and play together. In modern America, ghettos still exist and we're just somehow not supposed to think it's a disgusting thing that should be broken up.
