New Suicide Squad comics

I've read the Ostrander run a while back, are any of the new Skwad comics fun? Any with amazing Waller panels?

bump

Any Suicide Squad comic with Whorely Quinn in it isn't worth shit.

new suicide squad after convergence

It really picked up once Khouri started editing, Ryan, Seeley, and now Williams have all been pretty solid.

Just read some Secret Six. It's better than Ostranders Squad and has the best use of Deadshot.

New 52 and harley quinn rebirth are quite good.

>Just read some Secret Six. It's better than Ostranders Squad
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

That's a 100% true statement though.

>It's better than Ostranders Squad

"no"

The first issue was great then it fell apart rapidly

>weird cheshire baby shit
>that whole retarded Savage arc

fanfiction at best...

"Yes"

Most of Ostranders Squad is fucking dull. Especially all the Janus Directive shit.

>Janus Directive

That was the only bad part to me and it was mostly just boring, the rest of it was good. One down arc (a crossover, at that) doesn't ruin a run.

I'm looking at this but can't find the starting point you guys are talking about. kill me.

How is it anymore fanfiction than Suicide Squad?

Convergence happened May and April 2015 so he means the issues published after that.

remember those days when Suicide Squad was a cult book and everyone was like "Man they should bring this back! It's a concept you can't screw up!!"

We were wrong. So wrong.

harley quinn rebirth was an abortion

Other than the first arc in Qurac it's all varying shades of boring.

>Jimmy Palmiotti and his wife
A-are you sure user.

Simone Deadshot is definitely better. He was just another Wolverine clone in Suicide Squad.

I thought he was better in SS but he had some choice action scenes in SS.

Think this is something we can all agree on.

>muh quirkiness
>muh splashpages
>muh action
>muh lesbians
Ostrander's Skwad is much much cleverly written and tightly plotted.

One thing I hated was how Ostrander tried to come up with some retarded psychobabble explanation for why Deadshot couldn't kill Batman. Even decades later when he guest wrote an issue of Secret Six he was still
trying to make that aspect of the character make sense and it was so fucking tedious. We already know the real reason.

Art alone on Secret Six goes to shit once Scott leaves!!!

I think a character in the Secret Six issue even says, "...but that doesn't make any sense.", when he's told that Batman represents the guilt Deadshot has over his brother and Deadshot responds with something like "Sometimes things don't have to make sense."

Unusually lazy for Ostrander.

NuDeadshot has a code of honor the old one didn't have.

He just kills bad guys and people who attack him first.

He also doesn't have the sweet pornstache and has a buzzcut, unless that's changed since I stopped reading it.

I do like that Simone didn't shy away from the fact that Floyd is a monster.

You mean New 52 Deadshot?

This is why I never talk about the series that I liked that ended. They always find some way to fuck it up.

Most recent example being Thunderbolts.

Yeah. I'm not sure if any of that has changed.

Agreed. That arc with the South Anerican prison where he shoots that female sex slave in the back is probably the most ice cold shit he's ever done.

I was about to say that.

I love how the rest of the Six just look at him incredulously, but he just goes, "What? The man is paying us."

Will is definitely nu-52 Deadshot, since now he has a code of honor and shit like that.

Personally I liked it, but that's just me.

>That arc with the South Anerican prison where he shoots that female sex slave in the back

I don't think you'll ever see Will Smith allowing that.
