yes, compared to finns
I would think that with England and the Netherlands the lack of forests would have something to do with intensive ship building.

Farming. All deforested areas in the map coincide with either contemporary farming or historical farming.
In Poland the area of forested areas actually grows every year because farming is getting more and more efficient compared to what it was in the 90s and before
Nah you need our birds that spread fires on purpose.
1. My country
2. Sweden is so big! Did you know we have F-O-R-E-S-T-S?
>more than 30%
Didn't expect that.

>tfw the British cut down all of our trees
i live in the most wooded department of this coutnry feels good man
I'm moving to sweden so I can escape this cramped deforested shithole country
>Nah you need our birds that spread fires on purpose.
We already have people doing that. The problem is that the local forest get burnt and gum trees occupy it.
Both are correct, but there are plenty of woodlands about especially near old villages as it was apart of life
We have an old proverb: "when life gives you gumtrees, stop bitching about it and make rubber"
I see that the Brits never recovered from using wood as fuel.
we don't make rubber but paper and it's destroying the soil and killing the local fauna
pretty much this. in Flanders we have like 0 forests but 70%-80% are farmlands even though we're extremely densely populated
wallonia has some decent tree coverage because their soil is shite
>In Poland the area of forested areas actually grows every year
iirc that's happening in whole europe
finlandi
NO!
Weird to think Britain used to be covered in thick swamp and forest. It was all cut down for fuel, land and ships. It's a shame more nature didn't survive, but I suppose that's the price of civilisation.
>Turkey
>Europe
Anatolia is ROMAN GREEK land, filthy T*rkroaches will NEVER be recognised.
Absolutely true but compared to western farming techniques ours (communist state farms and such) were really primitive, so we had a huge gap to close
>tfw live here
We're way too full
Oops didn't mean to quote
its just not fair
...
thats extremly innacurate but whatever. we would have even more forests if those fucking swedes germans and austrians wouldnt have bribed our rangers and authorities to illegally log trees in our country, you would see no such thing in your countries but we're just expandable retards right ? now that you reminded me of this i'm glad that germany and sweden will be drowning in muslim jizz in the a couple of years

Why is the Iberian peninsula so forested? You never hear about this.
>tfw time to cut down some British people
No, I live in central Catalonia and we have lots of trees
We have lots and lots of trees, just not many clumped together stretching over huge areas unfortunately. The forest coverage was down to a few percent after WWI, but has been steadily climbing ever since and now we're at a mighty 13% lmao. Millions of trees are being planted each year though it needs to be sped up. Trees grow very well and fast here.
>london on the map is shown as a wasteland
In reality London has 8+ million trees and is officially classed as a forest by the UN and is one of the greenest major capitals in Europe.
No, we don't.
Maybe not on your council estate, but trees are everywhere.

temperate forests > tropical forests
lol imagine having a country consisting of literally only arable land and you STILL only have 5 million people
stupid fucking denmark
You can bullshit with personal anecdotes all you like, but anyone with brain can look at OP's map and see that Britain is mostly a treeless wasteland.
>tfw only 2% arable land
OP's map counts forest cover, not individual trees in towns, cities or small clusters of them in fields or on hills etc.
You are a thick cunt that can't read, crawl back under your council estate rock you cretin
Romania
We're working on it
Yes we have lots of trees, but it's mostly spread thin in the countryside.
and thus doesn't count as """"forest""""
The city of Sheffield has three trees for every inhabitant
and one day I hope the UK is once again covered in trees so the beloved qt red squirrel can make a come back and smite its grey squirrel enemy.
western europeans destroyed all the beauriful forests
your landscape looks god-tier
We have no forests because we built too many ships and became a superpower
We have farmland and hills instead
>all these butthurt Brits ITT
It's sad. They post pictures of farmland with some trees and claim that they actually have some nice nature to offer. Absolutely pathetic
Can we all agree that under 70% makes you a forestlet?

Yup.
Pretty pathetic if you want my opinion
>70%-80% are farmlands
really? I could believe this maybe for Wallonia but for Flanders that seems surprisingly much
>your cunt doesn't have the tallest trees in the world
get BTFO treelets
meanwhile in California, these cunts are everywhere
Most other forestlets here at least have some other beautiful places :(
You know you can plant them back, right?
itt: buttmad brit forestlets
we don't, this country is so fucking ugly I can't stand seeing how mangled by agriculture the "rural" part of the country is. it's vomit-inducing.
Not enough!
I demand more.
>Yet another map that includes t*rkey but not Georgia
აუ გააჯვით რა თქვენი ჯიში-ჯილაგი მოვტყან
Turns out it's more like 60%, but i'm wondering if they classified fields for cattle under farmlands or nature/green/woods, because 15% nature sounds a bit optimistic.
And as i said before the soil in wallonia is fairly poor.

There are basically no old growth forests left in Europe or NA. Besides some areas of Scandinavia and Canada.
Weren't they cutting down some ancient forest in Poland recently?
Roughly half our country is different types of forests so no.
pro-tip how to kill all eesties at once
