What are some movies that glorify shitty behavior and/or offer no real moral message? I'm a big boy, I don't always need an aesop or karmic justice.

Hard Mode: no horror movies allowed

Pain and gain. Kind of hated Marky Mark and the rock after that

Spring BRAKE

Scarface, Goodfellas, Casino, The Big Lebowski

the moral message is not to act like the people in the movie tho

...

>Pain & Gain
>glorifying the main characters
lol wat they're acting like literal retards the entire film how fucking pleb are you

Maybe people will contest this but the recent "Belko Experiment" is just kinda exactly what you are looking for I think. There is no official moral message. Sure a few characters want to act morally but when it really comes down to it almost everyone dies and there is no real "feel good" or "good guys win" message at the end.

Why do people sag Wolf of Wall Street glorified his actions? Yeah he got rich but his quality life seemed to have an inverse relationship with his rise to power. In the end the chickens come home to roost and he loses everything, after beating up his wife and betraying his friends. I get the part about the FBI agent when hes riding the subway but ultimately that seems like his personal dissatisfaction and only viewing the surface of Jordan's extravagant life. I don't think Scorsese actually intended to endorse Jordan's wild lifestyle besides a little "But what if his life is better?" wink wink with the subway scene

>I want a movie with no conclussion

The criminals are portrayed as fucking retards and they get what's coming to them

>Scarface
Toni loses literally everything but the coke right at the end

I don't think it glorifies him. His actions are portrayed in a bad light. He just gets away.

Because they are retards. Retards like the ones he was scamming during the movie. And retards we see looking at him in awe right at the end of the movie.

Pic unrelated right? You fucking retard

>I'm a big boy!!
>now rec me some self-indulgent tripe, teevee!!

fuck off faggot

Hm, I'm actually really struggling to name one off the top of my head but Natural Born Killers I guess.

It's a hard ask because most movies usually portray characters as sympathetic in one small way or they get their comeuppance in some way or the whole film is set up to tell you not to be like that in more subtle ways. The thing is, if you have little to no moral compass then I guess any film that heavily features a relatively dirtbag-ish character as the main character can be seen as one that glorifies it, but the average person won't realise it because the character will be losing things the audience values, be it family, their humanity, their morality, etc. So yeah, I don't know, look for shit with straight up sociopaths in it or with characters who have a gang mentality and actively encourage bad shit, like you could watch Oz I guess but most of the truly evil/sociopathic characters get their comeuppance or die regardless of whether they've realised the error of their ways... and there's Ryan O'Reilly who gets away with fucking everything but becomes more morally guided as the show progresses...but hey, the ride is still fun while it lasts.

>Scarface
Did you just completely miss the ending or something?

it made them "lovable losers" while glossing over the fact they legit tried to torture and murder someone for money

Yeah I agree with this reply. OP if you thought WOWS was a glamorization of the wall street lifestyle you need to either check your IQ or self-evaluate and accept that you're a messed up person like the fuckwads in that film. You either didn't pick up on the obvious reality checks that film had (he literally gut punches his wife and terrorizes his kids repeatedly throughout the film), or you were so enamored with the hedonism on display that you didn't even care about the numerous times the consequences of those actions were juxtaposed against them.

Are you kidding. The last act of that film turns from comedy to nightmare very quickly.

...

No country for old men depending on how you look at the ending.

As Nietzsche observes, westerners can't even imagine what it would mean for art to be amoral.
All art aims at teaching us about the true and the good, and that's how it will always be until the antichrist/antichristian comes.

Original Scarface has an alternate ending where he surrenders to the police and gets hanged after a detective holds a speech about how all criminals are cowards.

No, that movie's heavily moralistic.
Moss (and his wife) paid the price for his greed, but importantly also for his compassion (returning to give the Mexican water).

The movie ends with him playing tennis in country club prison. After a few years he will get out and still be rich from the foreign bank accounts, rich people always have. And then Scorsese makes a movie about him. Shit, sign me up.

This shit

is there any movie starring, written by, or directed by women that has any moral or message whatsoever other than "muh feels"?

He lost his wife and kids

...

Yeah but was a kike

Look at the divorce rates. Half of all married men do.

>ctrl+f
>natural born killers
>0 results

You may want to actually ctrl+f that.

>can't even ctrl+f
I wish I had a more judgmental dog picture, fucking faggot

>it aint me starts playing

>Goodfellas
I don't think that really counts. He might smile for the camera but he says it himself, "I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook". Which was something he never wanted. His wife leaves him, he never really turned his back on crime even racking up a drug conviction while in witness protection.

In real life, they would throw him out of witness protection because he kept going back to crime. His ex-wife and kids stopped talking to him, the movie paid a fraction on what he would make as a mobster and quickly disappeared. Until his death he would cling to the fame of the film, trying to make money off it by showing up to events and signing shit. It's a miracle no one whacked him.

Well that backfired on (You).

based

This goober looks evil.

Red pill us on marriage statistics now bitter nerd

Is that a black label? Or hell, platinum? Jesus, I thought Tony was supposed to be the boss or some shit. Never thought he'd have anything less than a blue label.

every heist movie

I just did. The truth hurts you, doesn't it.

You're an idiot

This is a brainlet magnet thread

what do you think "ctrl+f" means?

...

>in real life
You realize he does exist in real life, right?

Man, I never watched this movie, but the other day I was browsing through the channels and saw that scene where Franco's character is showing his bedroom to some chicks.
Can't think of a jackass-er character for the life of me.

Yes, but Nietzsche doesn't necessarily advocate for amoral anything. He thinks morals are useful, we just need to reevaluate them

I read 'catching the wolf of wall street' and he outright says he misses his first wife more than any other; and when they had nothing he has happier. When they got rich she became materialistic and he didn't care about anything anymore. Even the hot Russian he ends up with once he crashed didn't give him any happiness. From the book you get the idea that his lifestyle and wealth ruined him.

Scarface does offer a moral message in a way about the dangers of excess.

The Big Lebowski's message: life goes on.

>someone
jew

Elite squad. I love how butthurt it made stupid leftist critics even though it's a fucking leftist film.
