Lynch's Dune is one of the most interesting big budget misfires ever made. I still love some of the visuals it has, but damn, it is broken as hell.
It was mediocre. Poorly cast actors, hilariously bad costume design, and the nonexistent budget all hurt it. It was still watchable though and the guy who played the Baron was really good.
The Children of Dune sequel series was better overall, at least until the the final episode which was just one long tracking shot of a shirtless twink walking around. Don't know if the director was gunning for the teen girl demo or if he was just a fag.

Giger was a genuinely strange person. There is a pretty good documentary about him on Netflix. Out of all his quirks, the one that I thought was the weirdest was his cat.
