Why is it that everyone supports Trump so much more than Gary Johnson?
I am jumping ship and feeling the Johnson now. I don't understand the love for Trump so much when Johnson is a fantastic candidate too.

People perceive him as non-viable (which is actually false for the first time in a century.) This is his main problem, but even if he hits that cool 15% in polls and makes it onto the debate stage, that'll be a tremendous leap for the future of America.
My biggest complaint is his buttfuck retarded open borders policy + his uneducated support of the TPP. He still has my vote just for the sake of bolstering the viability of third parties, but id be worried about him actually trying to allow Africans and Hispanics into our country to wash away all progress with Democrat votes.

I fucking despise Johnson, arguably moreso than Hillary. At least Hillary is just a straight-up witch and her supporters can be excused as useful idiots. Meanwhile, the Libertarian Party is a fucking joke and a mockery of true Libertarianism, which is fitting given that Johnson is a Libertarian in name only (and his VP is even worse). I don't think half of his base truly even supports him, but rather, they're a bunch of tantrum-throwing children that just want to vote for somebody other than Trump, and since Johnson seems vaguely right-wing, they flock to him without thought.
Of course, many of his moronic supporters think they're going to be voting for a Libertarian solely on the basis of him being a self-described "Libertarian" and his belonging to the "Libertarian" Party. So, in other words, just a name. Furthermore, it's laughably ironic how the #nevertrump dumbfucks are seeking an alternative candidate partially on the basis of "Trump is secretly a democrat!", and then they flock to a candidate who is pretty much just a fucking run of the mill Democrat. Lastly, his braindead supporters and the nevertrump folk completely fail to see the forest for the trees; democracy stopped being a contest of ideas quite some time ago. Nowadays, it's a contest of demographics, one that the right-wing has been losing to a considerable degree, and Gary "Open Borders" Johnson is just going to accelerate the complete and total demise of the right-wing. So, not only is a vote for Johnson a vote for Hillary, but it's also a vote to ensure that we never see a right-wing politician in office ever again.

Libertarian policies cannot work without strong borders. You need a demographic of civilised people who don't need a shit ton of policing. I'm all for less government but an open border is not the answer.

ps. I'm an ancap but border control is pretty much mandatory and the only thing that government MUST be involved in. You can't have your anarchist utopia if you just let in a load of third world retards who have no respect for your freedom and just fuck everything up.
Believe me, I've tried very hard to solve the problems of my ideology and eliminate all need for government but I've realised that border control is just simply non-negotiable unless you are utterly ignorant about the differences between peoples.

Open borders is a great thing. Possibly hard in the future. But South America/Central America does it with it's own countries. If you have a drivers license you can walk right into the country.
