McCain will most likely win re-election, a five-term incumbent in a reliably red state should coast to victory. The only way he will lose is if Clinton wins AZ by a large margin (at least 5%), and the GOP loss trickles down the senate+house races, but that's unlikely to happen.

There are more voters registered and identifying as Democrat than republican hence why more are polled in surveys. Having a 50/50 split or 1/3 split including independents would not reflect reality

Since 2000 the dems have managed to get at least 44% of the vote in every presidential election. If AZ *were* to go blue, 2016 might have the ingredients for or it to happen since there are a lot of hispanics and college educated whites, two not very trump-friendly demos.
