I know Black Pigeon gets shilled on here a little, but this very, really actually did make me think.
He argues that the suburbs are going to get more and more populated by lower income families, while "inner cities" will start to get more and more populated by wealthy people and those who are able to choose where they live.
*inner city being a city that has amenities within walking/biking distance, much less reliant on vehicles.
I'm glad he's branching out. I hope he continues to do pro-lad stuff to spite his ignorant fans who think they own him.
Parker Sullivan
What's lad?
Wyatt Morgan
Suburban life is a false promise. You can't have it all. You just can't. Suburban life was sold as that to lure people out into a buffer zone away from population centers.
We needed factory workers, we needed housing, we needed to sell something.
Sell cars, gas, stupid lawn shit and a bunch of other tripe for 1000 years.
Easton Bailey
What is goign tohappen is the rich 30 somthings who made money in the cities are going to move out to the burbs for the better school systems creating microeconomic booms
its already happening in Massachusetts
meanwhile the half baked educated burban kids w money will flock to the cities to fight over limited jobs, those without money stay in burbs in service or hope they catch onto city folks starting up tech campuses so they dont have to commute
poor kids if get into trade school can maybe get jobs, thanks to mirco ecnomic boom
the rest are really fucked
Adrian Gray
Good, then maybe we can start walling off the cities again to keep the riff-raff out.
Camden Roberts
Looks extremely depressing.
Ian Lopez
dont be fooled. people live in suburbs because there is no public transportation and things arent within walking distance. >no public transportation >no niggers
Carter Davis
My country's cities are becoming a playground for hipsters and immigrants. They're insanely expensive to live in (i can know i used to live in the city for three years), and they are by far too small to host the crowded population in it.
I escaped away from it and i live in the suburbs, and i honestly think it's the best decision i ever made. No more stress, no more searching for hours for a parking spot, no more overpopulation, lots of nature...
Blake Anderson
I much prefer densely populated cities that organically build themselves over time to planned cities. Haven't traveled that much, but you can always tell when you are a tourist on foot if the city was planned (and thus built for cars) or if it grew (and thus you can use public transport or walk, and there is a dentist, pharmacy, club, restaurant, hairdresser, small business a few minutes walk from you wherever you go.
>suburbs >belgium You don't know what suburb even means, methinks. Honestly, go to the USA some day, it will open your eyes. Just like americans are blind and can't imagine a good city because they never saw one, in a similar way europeans are blind and can't imagine a shit garbage horrible city because they haven't visited an american one. Go to a big city, rent some suburb house, and enjoy having to drive 2 hours in traffic to go to the library, and there being zero support for walking or driving a bike outside of parks, that you need to drive to get to.
Hudson Young
This whole housing bubble and ubranization crisis is a side effect of the multicultural society. Only a few cities provide a proper living quality without interference from certain minorities. The rich will proceed to move to the more refined cities while the rest of us will face a life in multicultural misery.
Camden Davis
Have you ever even been to America?
Benjamin Cook
Obviously
Isaiah Garcia
Just dont be poor and buy some land and put a fence around it.
Jason Cruz
Again, what you are showing isn't a suburb. American suburbs are taking a lot of land that would house 120 people in Europe, and making it a single family house. This means that you need 30 times more space to house these people, so they have to travel 30 times farther to get to the nearest park or other public building. Its the scale of it thats the problem, because americans live next to each other rather than on top each other, everything is far away, and thus the need for cars, thus the need for park space.
Yes, I have. And I made the mistake (twice) of renting a house outside town instead of an apartment in the center. Everything is too far apart, and too many people are making the travel, so its slow going, angering, depressing, and I would never do it again.
Ryan Ortiz
Well he didnt really describe American cities or suburbs accurately. He just sounds like a pissed off poor person.
Brayden Martinez
See, this is EXACTLY the issue. If everyone buys land and puts a fence and builds a single floor house on it, soon enough you will have people living very far from the city, and traffic jams, and spending 2-3 hours a day just going to and back from work. What a fucking waste.
Joshua Gutierrez
>cities getting wealthier >suburbs being overpopulated by shitskins
And thats bad becaaause?
Juan Parker
Where the fuck did you live?
Hunter Foster
But as a human being, I don't want to live in the middle of nowhere. And that's the problem: Unless you're willing to work your ass off and live in a fucking box, you are not able to pertain the standarf of living you're getting used to while growing up. Living conditions in Germany and Europe are worsening. Most cities aren't fun to live in anymore due to migration.
Regensburg is a perfect but very expensive city. I know what a suburb is.
Ian Miller
He seems intelligent, and an intelligent person wouldn't suggest someone else do what he himself hasn't done.
Noah Diaz
Nah fuck off, cities are cancerous hellholes filled with degenerates and subhumans. The true moral man lives in small towns or off the country.
Jeremiah Jenkins
Soon everyone will work remotely from home anyway, and the problem will solve itself.
That said, American suburbs like picrelated are disgusting because they were built by people with no motive other than maximizing profit. My city's centre has several times more trees and free space than this.
Brayden Harris
>no more searching for hours for a parking spot This is the worst shit ever. I swear cities happened because Satan had a bowel movement.
Kevin Thompson
...
Logan Anderson
Nigger Pigeon shit is against cars and suburbia?! Well fuck that guy!
Brayden Ortiz
I dream of living in the middle of nowhere and being able to look out my window and see grass and trees and not have to deal with any bastards.
Gavin Sanders
>live in small town (6k people) >5 min from larger town (80k) >20 min from city (600k) (25min by train) >surrounded by forrests, fields, rivers and other small towns (2k-6k)
Literally every village, town or whatever here has an old town with hundreds years old houses, shops etc.
These are our "suburbs".
Americans will never know this.
Joshua Phillips
there are suburbs were they're built on having a stores in walking distance walking to the grocery store, drug store, bar, bank (well not my bank), barber, restaurants and even a baseball field for me is about a 10 minute walk though other places like a, gym, any place wher you can get a tech, gamestop, or my bank are about a 40-50 minute walk so you'd need a ride for that gated community are real shit though
Aaron Martin
I guess people in Boston etc. get to experience it as well.
Nicholas Parker
>tfw growing your own crops and breeding your own chickens/tilapia/crawfish returning to self sufficiency is the future fuck the minority infested cities
only downside is the lack of internet but the internet is about to be stripped down into a corporation controlled liberal echo chamber anyways
self sufficiency is freedom lads
Caleb Barnes
I majored in economics in school, we went over this in a couple classes.
gentrification is real. everybody wants to develop cheap land, and similarly, everybody wants to live in a developed area. not everybody can afford to though, however.
during industrial boom most lived in cities. time goes on, whites move to recently developed suburbs because they are nice, blacks stay in cities. suburbs get expensive cause demand, while inner cities go to shit and prices drop.
as time goes on, people buy up inner city areas, develop the shit out of them, and then whites come back. as more whites come, prices go up, and black move back to suburbs because prices there are now going back down.
rinse and repeat.
personally, I think this is all stupid as fuck. the only way America will survive long term is by being more dependent on 'tribal' style cities. I don't mean like, nigger-tribes, I just mean like, certain cities producing one thing, others another, etc etc, but all being more or less entirely self sufficient.
John Martinez
Suburbs are in most cases relatively comfy but they fucking suck in general.
European cities are far superior in every way to Australian cities which are 99.9% urban sprawl and spread-out suburbs that are miles away from everything.
Asher Young
It just proves that commie blocks are superior.
Gabriel Campbell
Stockholm is basically a gated community within the traditional city limits.
There's absolutely noone with less than $1M to his name.
Lincoln Carter
Seems about right. Most cities have all the low life walled off and living in slums outside of those walls and the country side is just to hostile for them (no power food or DRANK)
Michael Walker
>thinking any of this shit matters right before the advent of affordable, self driving electric cars
100 years too late, m8.
Nathan Jenkins
according to chimpsky, there are real documents of town planning meetings or something like that showing the automobile and petrol industry actively encouraged inefficient planning and influenced town layouts to purposefully make you require a car to live there.
Ayden Ross
>all these cunts shilling for commie blocks
You want to raise your kids in a fucking sky box?
Public transport is a socialist pipedream. If any of you traincucks had to pay the actual price of the service, you'd have to borrow Mum's car and learn how to drive.
Adam Ward
>Germany >old town centres >not bombed to shit in WW2 nice joke
Wyatt Reed
> Every German town was bombed to shit in ww2
Was that supposed to be a joke?
Jaxon Collins
that being said, we have plenty of fuck-ugly suburbs as well. we just call them agglomeration. pic related
many were
Parker Rodriguez
??? You should know it better, Swissbot. A few cities were bombed but the vast majority was left untouched. Even then, there's an industry specialized in rebuilding our Fachwerkhäuser and they look as beautiful new as they do when theyre 200 years old.
Caleb Morales
still high tier compared to other countries...
Nolan Bell
>Literally every village, town or whatever here has an old town with hundreds years old houses, shops etc. >hurr durr it's better because it's older
Benjamin Cox
trains are more efficient but they offer less personal freedom and of course it only makes sense on main routes
Levi Diaz
This very famously happened in LA several times. That, among other reasons, is why LA is a sprawl and free-way wasteland.
LA is an attempt to build hundreds of miles of suburbs. It doesn't work, and it creates ghettos.
Parker White
Most of the destroyed old buildings were rebuilt. Even the 16th century kings castle in Warsaw is from 1971
Mason Myers
NEEDING an automobile is the biggest cuck
>Depend on mechanical device to get to work to make a living >$300 a month in car payment >$150-$300 a month in insurance for car >$200 a month in gas >Less rights while in or operating a car >One or Two hours a day sitting down, driving.
Michael Clark
>paying a gallon of gas to go buy a gallon of milk
I loved that comparison.
Bentley Rodriguez
Cars are not that bad, Public transportation demands a lot in population density. Being reliant on light-rail and buses sucks ass. Subways are okey, but most of them in Europe are really old and derelict.
Carson Moore
>German rail subsidies amounted to €17.0 billion in 2014, and in 2013, 59% of the cost of short-distance passenger rail transport was covered by subsidies
Trains are fucking shithouse. Public transport sucks because it's full of retards who can't drive, actual retards who aren't allowed to drive and poor people who can't afford cars. It's also inefficient as fuck. Just looking at the infrastructure required to have a train system should tell you that.
Brody Carter
That dude is a fucking moron. I guess I wish my Dad for some sweet oil company money back when he was a decent sized homebuilder in LA. Fed guv made short work of the smaller homebuilders and made sure it was all giant companies building huge swathes of track homes.
Jayden White
roads also have to be built and if you use your mum's car you also leeched money. Accelerating and decelerating your own little box is inefficient, especially when there is congestion.
Gavin Phillips
> has never commuted into NYC Around here, trains are basically filled with everyone, including $300k/yr senior managers because why the fuck would you spend an hour driving each way to/from work and completely waste that time (because you can't do anything else while driving, but drive) when you can essentially take those two hours back everyday to have a greater degree of freedom? I can't whip out my laptop and watch FPSRussia if I'm stuck in traffic on the Nj Turnpike or the Holland Tinnel, but I damn sure can on NJT.
Michael Lewis
Just terrible planning. This shit is on par with commieblocks.
Ayden Gutierrez

it's how places like jacksonville florida trap their unsuspecting residents into a life of living in jacksonville florida
