What went wrong?
The Saw series
having retarded traps to teach people a "lesson"
I think most of them are pretty good. I don't like how in III and VI, they went more for traps that people couldn't determine their own fate. I prefer it when it's just one person, having to get out of the trap themselves; those are always the most intense and interesting.
Also, I'm not happy about the trailer for the new Jigsaw movie. It looks way too funny and campy and clean. I mean I could still see it but it looks worryingly slick.
I think they went too far with that Hoffman guy in the last one, he just turns into a superhuman crazy killer that stabs a bunch of people with a knife. The original John Kramer is a good character.
It went from a mystery thriller that also teaches life lessons to pure torture porn
They made six too many.
They made 7 of them? I was going to say they made more than 1, but if there are only 6 then that would be all of them.
They are making another one.
There is also a short film they've made before the first one.
this. I had to turn i think it was 5? off 10 minutes in. Gross and dumb
Every Saw movie after 1 is the problem.
Kramer also stabbed nigger in the first one like some asscreed edgeloving faggot though.
They were forced to make one a year to correspond with Halloween. They ran out of neat ideas like 3 entries into it.
Nothing they are better then the run of the mill horror movies and even though the "games" got old I found the story and how the guy from the first one who survived is the one behind the whole thing after learning his lesson and winning the game is great.
Having said that some of the acting in the later ones are so bad it hurts to watch which along with the games getting old is probably what went wrong and lead to people not liking it
That was a cop who was trying to bust him he had no choice. He didn't massacre a police station like a silent assassin
He only kills three people in the room its not a massacre
Leigh Whannel stopped writing them after 3.
Seinfeld went to some dark places.
Isn't the torture porn the main reason people watch these though?
Kek
>the big reveal of the entire series is that Dr. Gordon survived in the first film and took over for Jigsaw
>spoil it at the beginning of the fucking movie
Who thought that was a good idea?
I actually think the series could benefit from a new style and tone. Especially style because I always thought the movies were ugly, but not in a good way. They looked like any police procedural you'd find on tv.
Tapp wasn't killed by Kramer by stabbing. In Video game you play as him and go through shit tons of puzzles and enemies.
YOU ARE A CRAZY, CRAZY!
I'm glad this sequal is happening, and I hope it gives the series a fresh coat of paint for the new annual films to come. New style, direction, all very promising - looking forward to reimaginations of classic traps and whatever remix they come up with this time of "Hello Zepp."
Why is it promising? Does it have any good director or writer? Is it a re-make of Saw 1 or a sequel to 3d?
First one was a horror
I was excited about the new movie until I saw the trailer. The tone of the trailer is really off and the director has apparently said the movie will have the same tone as the trailer.
