I watched the latest episode of Norm MacDonald Live on Amazon Prime, and there were no commercials on that platform, as opposed to YouTube. So does Norm make money from having it on Amazon? Does he get paid every time somebody watches an episode on Amazon, or does Amazon just pay him a sum for allowing them to host his show?

how the fuck would i know

As far as I know Norm is given a stipend and additional funds must be laundered via Adam underneath the Queensborough bridge in multiples of $15

APRIL FOOLS! Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt is alive and well!!

I liked this episode. It's an interesting dynamic with each sort of in awe of the other. Not as funny as other ones but entertaining. And Letterman's reaction to "where do you get your ideas from?" was maybe the best so far

The top 10 list was the best part.

haha

>"where do you get your ideas from?"
This was the first episode of the show I watched. Does that guy ask that question to everyone?

Yeah it's one of the running gags.

Enjoy the rest of the episodes!

Anyone can submit anything to be put on Prime. If it's approved, most are, you get paid per view.

Didn't fucking Maron actually try to answer that question honestly or is my memory going?

Not everyone, but to a few of them.

He understood it was a joke but answered it anyway cuz that's just the kinda guy he is

Why didn't they do an opening with just Norm and Adam? Those are always hilarious.

When Adam thinks he's become some big shot actor for doing cuck porn, and when norm "pranks" adam by funneling that vodka down his throat as he slept were 10/10.

The gags were good but I can't complain about more time spent with a great guest. For your mental health I suggest taking all podcasts "as is"

he's spent more than in hour with a few guests. gilbert and todd glass come to mind. They easily could have had the opening, and just extend the guest part. hell even if they didn't extend the guest part they could have had an opening, and still had the hour with letterman.

My favorite AF ever 2bh

Like the podcasts with great guests, but always love the episodes with B level comedians where Norm takes the piss out of them

Super Dave episode is so fucking good, he needs to have him every season.

It's on Youtube as well

Dave looks great, retirement is doing him well

What episode is the cuck one?

I'm guessing he filmed it all and was shopping it around to various people like Amazon and Netflix. Which is why it took so long for it to come out, they filmed these like 10 months ago. Amazon probably paid him a lump sum for his catalog. But then again it is on Youtube as well so I don't see how that would benefit Amazon. Who knows.

Bob Saget.

are these meta jokes I wonder? is Bob Saget a cuck??

it's not about bob saget, it's about ripping the hell out of adam.also bob saget was never funny. idk how he ever got famous.

Jews are notoriously nepotistic and have considerable tribal bias/in-group occupational preferences.

According to Adam Eget.

Why would that be bad? Is it strange to ask comedians who write jokes where they get their ideas from?

It's a fucking cliche question because it's only asked by hack interviewers who don't know what the fuck they're doing.

well shit, if Adam Eget said it I have to believe it. He's done some pretty extensive research on those gas stacks. It just doesn't add up. he knows his shit

Still unbeaten.

reminds me of that tragedy

was It actually cut? I thought nick swardson was surprisingly one of the best episodes, but I can't recall if that was included. Why wouldn't it be? he's used that same joke on at least one other guest. At least the talking about walking through the bones and shit in manhatten part. Maybe not the airline joke part, but i can't recall

It wasn't cut from the episode, that video itself was cut from that episode, poor choice of words.

It was cut from the episode though

Jesus fucking Christ Amazon Prime is wearing me out trying to figure out their content. Never have run across this.

Nick Swardson is involved so yes it can be

They don't have a great interface, but then again, no streaming service does.

new episode was great except for the horrible tight shots and the editing. genuinely made me so nauseous i listened to most of it because i couldn't watch it.

JASH rejects. They're used to directing Eric Andre and other numale "comedy"

I actually like the commercials in Norm Macdonald Live because it's Norm doing them, and in this episode they were more interesting than the interview.

I thought I'd a kill a summer month with some free High Castle but then... Hand of God, and Bosch???... Sup Forums is light on the shitposting when it comes to their comfy programming.

Norm hates meta-comedy... I would love for him to invite Tim Heidecker or Bo Burnham so he could push their shit without them even realizing it.
Saget got on Full House because somebody thought it would be funny to give him the job after hearing his comedy which is all jokes about murdering and raping children and shit.

his commerical with andy dick and that fucking grill thing was hilarious. Andy dick was another guy I thought would be just horrible, but ended up being one of the best episodes.

I hate Bo Burnham so much. I'd love to see Norm roast him.

>Saget got on Full House because somebody thought it would be funny to give him the job after hearing his comedy which is all jokes about murdering and raping children and shit.

I don't disagree with you, but seriously how many people do you think would actually get the joke that he's playing a character totally antithetical to his on stage persona? On top of that, even the people that got the "joke", I would bet well over 95% of his fans didn't watch the show because his show character was so different and the show was awful.

The first season of Red Oaks is super comfy. I haven't got around to watching the second season yet.

>tfw it's produced by Jash, which is majority owned by Tim and Eric
>tfw Tim Heidecker makes money every time you watch Norm's show

I thought letterman had seen them do it before by his reaction.

Love it

When can we expect the next episode?

Hopefully subtitles if its Iron Mike

I fully expect that episode to be god awful, but norm live never fails to surprise me. You never know who's gonna be a good guest. like half of the ones i thought would be awful, turned out to be great, and half the ones i thought would be great turned out to be awful.

maybe it all depends on norms mood at the time

Worst episode coming through. This dude was such an unfunny douchebag the whole fucking episode.
>You know what gurning is right?

This guy seemed like the most arrogant prick I've ever heard. If you heard him 500 years from now you'd think he practically owned hollywood for decades.

The grill commercials were hilarious, as were the shaving club ones, but then the grill ones withdrew their money because they felt he was mocking them instead of advertising them (what did they expect, it's Norm) and I think since then he hasn't been as daring.

He should have Bill Burr do the commercials sometime.

Lose the douchebag

that was actually a great episode because it was fun seeing koechner so agitated and uncomfortable.

when david started praising norm you could see norm was uncomfortable and didn't think he deserved it

i liked fortitude. pretty neat concept. although it kinda didnt turn out how i thought it was going it still went somewhere neat.

It's amazing how norm can turn a trash joke into pure gold with just a few tangentially related comments.

will sarah silverman let him finger her on jash?

Anyone else notice how like 90% of his guests are Jews, including his co-host?

Jews are funny, get over it

this ep was shit

>do you know what 'CIS' is? no? It's a way or marginalising normal people
>has Bruce Jenner coming on

on this will be fun

he was in northern canada

Based Norm.

the Jack Carter episode is a pleb filter. If you hate it you need to go back >>>/reddit/

amerifats thinking merchant was upset or unfunny is complete and utter admittance of being a proletariat

disgusting amerifats

haha that'd be epic for the win

The Letterman episode was really poor. It contained nothing you wouldn't already know if you'd seen Letterman interviewed before, and Norm offered very little insight, probably conscious of the fact that Letterman is easy to upset.
Hopefully Norm isn't so starstruck in later episodes.

Is this list for real?

>OJ Simpson

episode?

Clearly fake due to OJ but he needs to get fucking Sarah on there.

>all that sexual tension between them

Why is norm so bloated? Alcohol?

he's bulking for a role

I said this before, but I am worried about how commercialized it seems. There were like 15 minutes of commercials and it was heavily edited to fit the 60 minute time slot. I feel like norm won't do any more cock cutting or holocaust jokes.

He still has leftover KFC

At least Sarah, Seinfeld, Dana and Jenner are confirmed by pics/vids/mentions.

The best episodes are when Norm doesn't respect the guest

I think it was more just Norm having his idol on, it wasn't just that Norm was being clean, he barely spoke.

Look at how little he involved Adam, he normally uses him as the butt of his most offensive jokes but he spoke maybe twice. It seemed more like Norm just wanted to let Letterman shine.

They need to drop the fucking zoom tho goddamn

hi guys im the cinematographer for the show ask me anything

>What is this wide angle bullshit!? Zoom in on that mother fucker's face, goddammit!"

t. Norm's camera guy

Someone from JASH posted on reddit and said they make more money if people watch on amazon rather than youtube. So if you have prime, watch it there.

those type of shots only working in horror films when you're zoomed in on a qt 18 yo girl and you're trying to build tension

doing it to a bloated 50 year old Canadian is just a tragedy

>doing it to a bloated 50 year old Canadian is just a tragedy

It was zoomed in so close you could literally smell the maple syrup on Norm

My favorite is probably this one: youtube.com/watch?v=fpC02WXZgEc

The "didn't even look like him" kills me.

Tom green I think

You could smell the tub of gravy he drank before the show.

...

the shitty part about norms book is 1/3rd of it is stories he's told on the show or on late night interviews

it actually helps the less familiar you are with him, i got to the chapter with the matlock story and just skipped ahead

According to ain'titcool:

>David Letterman, Judd Apatow, Sarah Silverman, Conan O’Brien, Jerry Seinfeld, Margaret Cho, Robert Blake, Patrick Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Caitlin Jenner (!) and “Mad TV” vets Bobby Lee and Artie Lange.

aintitcool.com/node/78245

Caitlin Jenner is probably a goof. That would make the news

strawpoll.me/13548055

They already posted a clip of the Jenner episode on the JASH instagram.

Wow that's funny. I hope they mention Caitlins juicy peckha
