If you're up for an extended session, True Detective season 2.
I'd also second this. I'm not sure I'd say it's very depressing, but it really is in the 'black' territory for a black comedy.

A lot of subtly in it, I don't think it fits your edgy expectation but it is definitely somber.
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skulls
That's the last movie I'll see before I go out.
I love it, do you have any more Winona musique? Obviously any Wino fan will know primo Winona kino but just the sample featuring Winona takes this track to a whole other level.
wtf I hate Alfred Hitchcock now (unironically)
kike shill
I have no way of knowing how many and how they were killed. I just see the piles of bodies the Hungarian Nazis are burying.
>ywn be the ghoul of 90's wynona
just end it
You have the association drilled in your mind... of how the bodies perished and what the bodies represent. Something systematic and orchestrated.
np
i wish
gud fucking rec with stroszek

The Golden Dream is a cool as fuck film, watched in the cinema when it came out

damn thats a fine rec
I'll check out the others because you recommended that
i hope not
i hated that film
Does anyone have any more music that samples Winona Ryder?
The Wansee Conference documents do show that it was the case. They did industrialize the killing of people. It's not a fine thing when you can compare your track record to communists.
Another rec would be Detachment. The imdb synopsis makes it sound like some high-school feel good flick. Brody is pretty apathetic throughout. Also has mentally unstable jailbait.
>The Wansee Conference
typical kike tricks
Angst ?
>documents seized from the German Foreign Office are tricks
What about the Soviet side of the story ? They did liberate Auschwitz. They found pretty much the same things all over. Starving prisoners and well-fed guards and surrounding population.
Children Underground
youtube.com
Fly on the wall type documentary. Filmed in the 90's just after the revolution in Romania. Behold the glory of communism.
...
So adorable
Oslo is great. You said you've seen Le Feu Follet -- they're based on the same novel, so if you liked that you'll like Oslo.
>What about the Soviet side of the story?
>the Soviets
"Berlin gave me the blues. We have destroyed what could have been a good race, and we are about to replace them with Mongolian savages. And all Europe will be communist. It's said that for the first week after they took it (Berlin), all women who ran were shot and those who did not were raped. I could have taken it (instead of the Soviets) had I been allowed."
—General George Patton
Good choice. Came here to post this.
I bet you didn't watch this one
There is active torrent on TPB with eng subtitles
GREEN ROOM
GREEN ROOM
FUCKING GREEN ROOM
I hope it's not too late for you to read this, OP, because I've literally given you a perfect answer.
What's the difference between a concentration camp and a death camp ? In one they work you to death and in the other they shoot or gas you ?
You don't need to remind me of the savagery of soviets, they passed through here on their way to Germany. Old people used to tell me that during the war, the Germans were far more courteous when they were here, trading or bartering for goods. Soviets just raped and pillaged.
...
>bolder in its vision of politics than any movie Stanley Kubrick has made
And suddenly all respect for said movie and Variety There was never any respect for variety
>What's the difference between a concentration camp and a death camp ?
It's hard to say, you might be able to ask the Japanese Americans about it though. Oh right, those were INTERNMENT camps... Haha... Wildly different to be sure. Allies did literally nothing wrong.
Pretty sure the understanding is that one is a work camp where you might die if you rub the evil Nazis the wrong way or if they just feel like it or if they need more soap and lampshades and the other is a camp they have solely for the purpose of gassing you and 6 million others like you to churn out fine lampshades and soaps.
Inferno by Vinko Moderdorfer (Slovenian drama, can be found on partis.si). Trust me.
They did imprison the Japanese in America but I doubt they worked them to death. They had food and even schools. Families were allowed to stay together.
Seems to me the difference is that the concentration camp probably changed to a death type if disease, hunger and exhaustion didn't do the job quick enough.
Filth personally makes me feel like trash

good recs
and bad recs
I watched this movie starting from like 5am after a party with the two other people who were still up, to avoid waking up the people passed out on the floor we dragged it out on to the balcony of the city apartment we were in and watched it there. Throughout the movie the sun slowly came up and also we all were fucking freezing and shivering by the end. 10/10 experience, I'd never even heard of the movie at the time as well.
Try Hana-Bi/Fireworks. It's not the heaviest it could be but it's nicely shot so it's worth it for the soundtrack alone.

Remember, these characters are animated. When they die, they never come back in some other movie or anything like a live actor does when making a new movie. They are dead forever.
