The drumpf administration's move is actually in line with that.
They're not changing the date it loses funding; NASA's timeline for the ISS is still ending in 2024, the date Obama's admin set. What's changed is they plan to transition it to private ownership so that when 2025 comes it can hopefully stay in orbit and not go into the pacific.

Privatizing it will actually be better.
