best boy

wait who voiced jeffries?
i actually don't remember him speaking

May I share a vision with you, /tpg/?

how are you so fucking fast, FRENLO?

He was speaking. No credit as to who voiced him, and the voice was distorted.

...

vision

yes father

Why is this movie so shit? Where did Lynch go wrong?

>yfw its david with a distorted voice and they're keeping a surprise and we'll hear the real bowie later

its not out of the realm of possibility

he could have easily recorded a few lines of audio dialogue over the phone, would only take a few minutes. it doesn't even have to be a good performance since its bowie and hes dying and he can go whatever the fuck he wants.

yes daddy fuck me up

Also one line he has in that call is interesting:

> "You met with Major Garland Briggs"
> BADCOOPER flabbergasted and questions who he's talking to

Like, where did Coop meet Briggs?

pre internet normies pandering

sure, entirely possible. Or, more plausible:

>yfw when Bowie was already dead so they just turned Jeffries into a distorted voice over the phone.

poal.me/pafj9v

as much as I would love to get BOWIED, I'm sure Showtime would've promoted the fuck out of that guest appearance considering all the viewers it would've attracted.

the show severely needs some kind of PR boost like that.

I assumed this was a reference to just after DoppelCoop came out of The Black Lodge, but with the new info about "The Zone", it may refer to another meeting.

IGGY is new Jefries

...

something interesting I realized, the new show doesn't really have a main character. is it dougie? or is it cole? i don't think its a criticism btw just something interesting.

>muh "amazing masterpiece" 10/10
>stupid critics, u have to be able to think ABSTRACTLY
FWWM is literally . reddit and its fans are plebs. Tarantino was right.

hey Quentin, how ya doin?

Why do people shit on the scene where Audrey dances in the RR Diner in front of Donna? Of course it looks absurd, it's stylized as fuck and it's supposed to be a bit off and bizarre.

Hm you may be right. It could just be a straight tie-in with what we learned in the book:

>BadCoop new in our world
>Meets Briggs, says "whaddup yo"
>Briggs knows something's fishy and starts MAYDAY protocol

That protocol could be what Jeffries is referencing. He knows that Briggs initiated that protocol, and why. This call is just him letting BadCoop know and saying goodbye because he'll go back to the lodge (but doesn't).

The line I can't quite get is:
>You're going back in tomorrow, and I will be with Bob again
Was Jeffries ever "with Bob"???

Dougie is main character of Dougie plot
Cole and Albert are main mans of FBI plot
MulletCoop is lead of evil plot
Policemen are protagonists of Twin Peaks plot

...

>Tarantino
revenge porn master working for (((them))) btfo

28??? This is an amazing masterpiece I can't understand why someone wopuldn't like this! As a fan of Twin Peaks I never wanted to see this as I read the reviews. But when I saw it I was completely stunned and overwhelmed by this masterpiece. Fantastic Lynch atmosphere--great scenes with a lot of depth. The David Bowie scene is fantastic and Badalamenti's score adds a lot again to the whole of this.

With his final comment on the world of Twin Peaks he and Mark Frost created, David Lynch pulls a fast one and actually bothers to care about it. It is easy to see why the film was hated so vehemently by critics and fans of the series; the quirk and humor that defined TP for many has been replaced by the most profoundly sad and moving story about incest that will likely ever be made. The film achieves stratospheric levels of depraved, sincere beauty.

it's just Anniefags being salty

he met him at his house before he died.

soundcloud.com/blue-harvest-beat/i-love-cooper

>HOLY JUMPIN GEORGE

Critics are silly. As for me this is one of my favorite films. It is very dark and creepy and at 35 it still gives me the creeps if I watch it during the night. Perfect script and music. People think there are no answers in this movie, but I think there are many. You just have to be able to think abstractly.

>Tarantino was right.
stopped reading right there

what do you think the real reason was that Lynch threatened to quit, user?

I have heard SOME people theorize that Jeffries was with Bob in the convenience store, but that doesn't quite sound right with what we know so far. I think we're probably just going to have to wait for more information.

This film is so deep that is leaves the shallow minded all but drowning in its wake. Lynch fans all over call this the worst ever and not just amongst his films but of all cinema (I really cannot figure why even from those whom have given me a superficial reason to call it trash). People looking for an obvious sum will be lost...this is pure art in the highest of forms...it finally takes us to the real underbelly of all the evidence that was exhibited in the series. This is Laura Palmer's story were the series was Cooper's perception of a town where yellow traffic lights mean slow down and not speed up. My advice is just have no expectations. As with any other Lynch film, it's good to view with an open mind and let it just wash over you like a wave of chaos and beauty.

I almost didn't watch this movie because of all the horrible things I heard about it. It was a great movie and really answered some lingering questions I had. Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise both give spine tingling performances. The tension in some of the scenes was palpable. I guess Lynch was just way ahead of his time because it is a masterpiece.

Good stuff, frenlo

I want to go meme diving

The original show didn't have a 'main character' either. It's called an ensemble. Jesus this board is retarded.

...

Maybe Bob was able to hang out with Leland some of the time and still go to the place above the conveniece store to steal garmonbozia from Mike.

What if... what if Jeffries was the one who stole the garmonbozia!!?!1

David Lynch's most heartbreaking movie. The quirky television show is deconstructed as Lynch takes us through the real life horrors that Laura Palmer went through before Agent Cooper got on the scene. The film delves into all of the dark places that the show only alluded to.

pooper was main character lol haha

...

Coop's perspective on Twin Peaks is mostly jolly but with a dark and deep shadow
Laura's perspective is all dark with very, very few shimmers of light

I wonder what Mark Frost thinks about the online articles that paint Twin Peaks as a misogynistic show that hates women. It's funny because he comes across as one of the biggest SJWs on social media.

He's getting ready to string himself up on the nearest telephone pole.

When allegedly confirmed that bowie was going to film but didn't show up is such a nothing article. No quotes. No follow up. And the only comment about this is going to come from Andy? How the fuck would he know? When Lynch famously doesn't even give out the whole script to the actors? 100% convinced we're gonna get lynched beyond our wildest imaginations.

Tarantino is a faggot, desu

>Anniefags

I never realized such a thing could exist

there's only like one tho, maybe two.

This is just ridiculous. All of the central narrative thrust of the original Twin Peaks involved Coop. Sideplots are exactly that. It's why Kyle MacLachlan's name is listed first.

I know, people with good taste are just that rare.

...

...

I know this pic isn't recent but she has Helen Mirren type genes. she'll never go out of style.

...

what does this mean

Who is Mr Strawberry!?!?

Goddamn she's still got it. All other (pre-Candie) waifus a shit.

The warden's dog.

only autists love audrey

Yo'ure wrong
Autists are the only ones that love Audrey

other way around, I'm pretty sure.

Audrey is the "official", played-up, mass-appeal waifu

read all Heather Graham books

>mass-appeal

hello Heather, why aren't you in season 3?

she moved on
not like some mole people

MacLachlan is the only actor who appears in all episodes and is listed above anybody else in the credits and you just know that most of the plots (the FBI one, Hawk's adventures, etc.) are about him.

haha Kyle why are you being all sneaky there haha

Its very much an ensemble show, but id say the true main characters are dougie, evil coop, and cole/albert

>imagine he's in your cage

Ever think you're the retard?

Because coop was the main protag of the original run.

SCOOBY DOO WHERE ARE YOU

>new show doesn't really have a main character
The main character is Coop, or more precisely his return. It's unconventional since "real" Coop is always offscreen, but all plot threads pretty much orbit around his way back to reality.

>imagine he's in your extreme bdsm sex dungeon

HEY NOW HEY NOW NOW
SING THIS CORROSION TO ME

I want to go on a scenic hike with her

So dorky with those jeans. Love it

...

Never thought I'd see Sisters of Mercy lyrics posted in one of these threads.

Critics try to review works objectively, and FWWM got a lot of wonky elements, so going by objective standards it gets pretty iffy. Most viewers are "dumb" and like things or not simply based on if they liked the thing as a whole. If anything, it shows that despite being unconventional, the film somehow worked, and that's a good thing. Of course, the professional critics in pic related expressed their opinion in the early 90's, and these viewers did so 15 years later, so in that time some other things might have changed too.

*checks u out*

>fanbase dedicated to an early 90's tv show
>not knowing Sisters of Mercy
pick one

I'm here, Shoggoth. I've always been here.

NARC

Pleb. Everyone knows Kyle is the ultimate waifu.

Yeah, but I never thought a relevant context would ever crop-up.

You don't treat your waifu that way

I think I realised why so many people thought the s1/2 is "comfy" it's because they filmed early on the year with all the fog and dark clouds. And tp now is filmed in summer. And the colour temperature is warm too. And with all the wood in the hotel and sheriff department.

so much this desu

>you will never viciously beat him up

Goodbye world.

keep it up, see what happens

I must hurt the things I love.

>BLACK GRAN

...

That and the general low-fi look. The new season is pretty slick.
