>/who/ presents:
DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 2
- The Anthology -

>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?

If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the second /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction.

/who/ did it once. Now, we're gonna do it again! Yet another entry in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

>- Can involve any Doctor(s), companion(s), side characters, spinoff characters and beyond, as your heart desires
>- Can be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>- Can be about absolutely anything
>- The main focus is on good fun in the vein of the wiki, although serious entries are allowed. (If you're going to write smut, maybe approach it with a degree of levity)

Stuck for ideas? Try starting with your favourite TARDIS team (or for timeliness, Whittaker 13th Doctor) and one of these authentic titles:
saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php
glyphobet.net/drwho

We are going to be starting an index on the wiki for the collection. Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them.
The rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't spam long texts in /who/ directly). (Pastebin works well.)

BONUS: Anyone who wants to do cover art or "illustrations" is encouraged.

WE need more entries for classic as well as NuWho Doctors. Entries for Thirteen are accepted as well. Aug 10th is deadlin

Here's a list of Doctors that still need stories. (You can still write stories with other Doctors who already have entries. In fact, I'd be glad to have them. The 12th Doctor only has two stories!):

Second Doctor
Fourth Doctor
War Doctor
Tenth Doctor
Kris Marshall Doctor with Anri Okata companion
Morbius Doctor
Foreman Doctor
Auton Stratgem Doctor

More Thirteenth Doctor stories would be nice as well.

I'll also accept stories with just the companions.

Perhaps a story where Bill and Heather battle an army of Daleks?

Or that story that Moffat was originally gonna make for the 50th when it looked like Matt Smith's contract would run out, with just Clara Oswald in the 50th celebration?

Or a story where Gwen Cooper ends up meeting that maid from Unquiet Dead?

Or a story where Sam Jones and Fitz meets the female Doctor?

Or a story with Iris Widthyme?

Anti-plastic!

anti-plastic?

I'll repost my thing. Maybe I'll get more responses:

The First Doctor is crushed under concerete at the end of the Christmas special, and 12 is eliminated from existence.

Series 11 starts with a normal episode that looks like Eastenders. Then, a Dalek shows up and kills everyone. Then it teleports away. A team of soldiers show up, and carton off the area.

Next ep, no dialogue. Just a woman played by Whittaker, helping reugees in a war zone. We see the refugees with bloody injuries, we see the dead kids. This woman says nothing, just help people. At the end, a boy comes up to the woman. He metamorphosizes into a soldier, and whispers into the woman's ear. The woman nods, and says "Yes. I'm the Doctor."

Next ep: It's an anime. The war between the Krotons and the Daleks, versus some giant spiders. We see the Krotons and Daleks being slaughtered...and then find out it's just a cartoon being played in a class. None of the students have eyes. The teacher is revealed to be a giant spider.

Next ep: It's an audio episode. A black screen throughout. You hear Jodie's voice. She's talking to UNIT, trying desperately to save some Muslim refugees fro an unknown enemy. The enemy is implied to be giant spiders. At the end, one of the refugees, called Nirvi, gives the Doctor a key. Then one image flashes: the TARDIS.

Aaaanti-plastic!

Next ep: The Doctor is in, and he's played by fan favorite Kris Marshall! He curses, uses guns, and pisses on the side of his spaceship. Not a TARDIS, because in his words, "a phone box is fookin' stupid." He drags along his companion, played by a buxom Japanese lady, to an election in Peladon that's being plagued by a monster. After spending some time there (and having implied sex with his companion), he kills the monster, gaining Peladon's thanks. He calls them all peace-loving hippies, and assasinates the elected president, claiming that he's setting time straight. Ten years pass, and he is the ruler of Peladon, using his companion as a maid. Eventually, his companion starts a coup, and he's about to kill her roo. As the companion is running away, she sees a blonde woman in a phone box.

"Hello. I'm the Doctor."

Next episode: The Doctor sits in a therapy room. She explains to her therapist how her past six companions in this verse have died. At the end, the therapist reveals he is a crappy CGI giant spider.

Next Ep: An evil creature lives under the floorbeds of the three-armed children of Artichoke, a freak carnival. They pray for deliverance, and their prayers are answered in the form of the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker). This is a conventional ep, and at the end, 13 picks up a humanoid boy named Pinoch as a companion. Because of his skin's amphibious quality, he's always shirtless.

Next ep: It's the year 5500. Humans are waging war against the giant Ants of Druvia. The Doctor and Pinoch meet a designer of the giant mechs used to fight the ants. Her name is Bitch (in they year 5500, that becomes a term of endearment, explains the Doctor.) The mechs and the Ants are in an endless War. After some investigation, the Doctor realizes the Ants are the original creators of humanity, and all of Earth's history was a testing ground, this war included. The Doctor pretends to team up with the Ants at first, but then betrays them. The Doctor, Pinoch, and B escape

The Doctor decides she needs to experiment with her new human form but retains her(his?) preference for younger partners. If anything, it is now exacerbated: She requires boys below the age of thirteen. To this end, she goes from school to school pretending to be a teacher. Realistically, there are very few boys in Britain, nay, the entire world, who have sufficiently functioning genitals at her ideal age of nine years old. She then decides that if she cannot find this perfect boy, she will make one. Using her own ovum as well as sperm synthesized from the DNA of one of her male predecessors, she creates a hyper-incestuous child and uses an infertile couple from roughly nine years before the present day as surrogates (insofar as both raising and carrying the child to term.) Returning to the present and her teaching job, she declares that it is penis inspection day again and the boy exceeds her expectations. Knowing she is both the mother and the father only excites her even further. She decides it is time to enact the next phase of her plan and take the boy with her. The boy threatens to tell his "parents", but she gloats that they will never believe him and that far worse things will happen to him if he tries. To rub this point in further, she approaches the parents and receives their consent to take him on a "trip". Aboard the TARDIS, she further gloats that his parents allowed him to be taken by her because they have no idea just what she is doing and never will. Internally, she muses on when the right time would be to reveal that she is the child's true parent. Camera tracks out of the control room and through the doors as they shut automatically and "Halo" by Depeche Mode begins playing.

doctor who episode concept:
the doctor takes a boy back in time and makes him fuck his mother, impregnating her, to give birth to himself. thus he is his own father.

Next ep: The Doctor walks out in a black void. Blood is splattered on her clothes (she wears a sailor outfit and cap, by the way), and B follows her out. A woman played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, called Phoebe, gives the Doctor a choice--loan her life to Phoebe, or Pinoch will stay dead. (The audience never sees how, or why, Pinoch died.) The Doctor, plus her companion, argue with Phoebe about ethics, and whether it is right to give her life for another. It involvces Wittengein philosophy, Sartre, Plato, and Socrates.

Next ep: the argument continues.

Next ep: The argument finishes. The Doctor allows herself to be shot. She regenerates into Hayley Atwell. Pinoch is returned to life. The 14th Doctor, played by Hayley Atwell, escapes in the TARDIS with Pinoch and B. (In the distance, the 13th Doctor is revealed to be chained up, having seen her own death.)

Next ep: The Fourteenth Doctor makes out with both her companions, claiming to be trying out her new tongue. Then, she lands on a fishing village in Ancient Japan, where that immortal samurai from the comics, Sato, is waiting. He claims to have teamed up with Mavic Chen to enable immediate death to all beings in the world, so he can die. The Doctor and Sato sword-fight, while B and Mavic Chen battle using giant tech armors--B's is made DIY; Mavic has brought his.) Pinoch does nothing but get kidnapped, and moan about being dead. At the end, the 14th Doctor throws Sato's Tree of Death into a wormhole. It ends up in a garden in front of two nudists. One says "Hey, Adam...

A-hem:

Next ep: Pinoch and B have been turned into mice. The whole episode is played by animals. It's later on revealed that the Doctor and companions have been transformed into animals, due to a energy field that is on the planet. (It's implied the planet is ruled by a furry.) Pinoch and B search for the Doctor and the TARDIS, and end up going through mental breakdowns, as their minds are turned into mice psychology. Eventually, they find the ruler, who is a giant cat. Pinoch, fully a mouse, runs, while B turns into a dog, and eats the president alive. Suddenly, B and Pinoch wake up, connected to machines. The 14th Doctor explains that this was just a virtual reality program, that has enslaved millions of people into a furry paradise. The Doctor shuts down the program.

Next ep: Phoebe talks to the viewers. She tells them that the next 2 hours will be a lie. Then...surprise! The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond are on an adventure. The Silurians are being attacked by a virus that hasn't been seen in several centuries, and they need the Doctor's help. Amy Pond is somewhat distrustful, because of last time she met the Silurians, but the Doctor is quick to help out. He and Amy delve into the depths of an ancient Silurian underground city...and find a colony of humans. To Amy's surprise, Eleven begins to get afraid upon seeing the humans, and tells Amy to stay away from them. Amy ignores him, and tries to figure why humans are there. None of the humans remember having been on the surface of Earth, but they know about Earth culture. Eventually, Amy finds the leader, who wears the tattoo of a giant spider. He tries to kill Amy, but the Eleventh Doctor stops him. Then the Doctor begins killing the humans, and begs Amy to leave. She does. At the end, you see a picture of young Matt Smith, that slowly turns into a picture of a spider.

jesus fucking christ

Next ep: The Fourteenth Doctor finds her TARDIS in a modern 2017 town. For astute viewers, as in the only viewers left, this is the same town destroyed by a Dalek in episode 1. The town is under quarantine, and anyone who tries to leave gets shot down. Pinoch and B ask to just go in the TARDIS and leave, and 14th Doctor agrees. Unfortunately, she is shot down by a Chinese man, who recognizes her as the same man he shot down years ago on Christmas day. The Doctor regenerates into another form, played by Ruth Negga. The Fifteenth Doctor complains about her bra being the wrong size now, and nearly gets shot again, this time by military men. Pinoch and B swiftly get the Fifteenth Doctor into the TARDIS, and they disappear. Then a Dalek shows up, and we realize Ep 1 is about to start.

Next Ep: The 15th Doctor, having calmed down, navigates back to that town. Everyone is dead, and also a ghost. This episode is just about the Fifteenth Doctor, Pinoch, and B figuring out what happenned. Somewhere along the line, Pinoch reveals that he's actually an artificial person, left behind by his inventor. B and Pinoch have a love scene. 15th Doctor watches, taking notes on human breeding rituals.

Second to last ep: It explains everything. What the CGI spiders are, what Phoebe has to do with everything, who the Kris Marshall Doctor is. However, all the dialogue is backwards. Rumors of ripping off Twin Peaks' Black Lodge is never confirmed.

Final Ep: It's revealed that B was the inventor who made Pinoch. The Fifteenth Doctor defeats the giant black spiders, as well as the fake Doctor played by Kris Marshall. Pinoch loans his life back to Phoebe, saving the First Doctor's life. The Fifteenth Doctor ends up leaving B to die...until Thirteenth Doctor shows up. She extends her hand out, saving B from the rapidly growing darkness. It's revealed that although Phoebe killed 13, an earlier version of 13 is here. 13 travels on, with B, Nirvi, and Asian companion in tow.

i can't make it more than a minute in

Yeah, I just wanted to repost my fake series 11, but there's not much else here just yet.

Superior version here.

What's /who/ with you?

It's a Saturday here, I woke up early but didn't want to get out of bed for a while so I put headphones on and listened to Jubilee, drifting in and out of that morning halfsleep kind of thing. It was extremely comfy.

Jannies can't ban

Finally finished mine: docs.google.com/document/d/1f2Uq_d2q3JyQat6fouDx9wJDWzAfMAnIvqYr8ODjxO4/edit?usp=sharing

I need the pic of Jodie getting POV fucked in that episode of Black Mirror

Hello! Cloister and Neo, did you read my fake Series 11 above? It's my version of what could actually destroy the show.

Thanks.

remember when the dalek shields looked really high budget in series 1 then they were just a shitty red glow in series 2?

Downloading some Jodiecinema

rose was good in series 1

Unpopular opinion: I felt that Liz Shaw was a better companion for Pertwee than Jo Grant.

You had me at "It's an audio episode"

>At the end, one of the refugees, called Nirvi
lmao

>A woman played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, called Phoebe
heh

I like the idea of a whole episode being played by mice, especially if it was played in Natural History of Fear style, like trying to preserve the twist they don't look like humans, for some inane reason even though it's immediately obvious on TV.

Also panders to us Lynch fanboys with the lodge talk.

A beautiful mess!

Oh yeah that's meant to be funny

She really was, it's easy to forget that after S2

How are you? Did you read the fake series 11 above, Guy?

Why do you think that?

You caught the Nirvi reference! Yeah...and she becomes a companion at the end.

But played by Claudia or that replacement chick, is the question

I liked Liz because she was seen more as the Doctor's equal with her scientific knowledge while Jo was there specifically because she was ditzy and a stand-in for the audience.

I read most of it, yeah.

I like the one with Kris Marshall, it could legit be a bottle episode.

When was that unpopular? Most people I know prefer Liz.

So what ever happened to that one tripfag named Sylvester "my last story was furry porn" McCoy? He never missed not one thread it seemed.

He died

He got shot by gangsters.

I agree

He used to post good DVDrips as I recall

Shhh I didn't make it.
I like Ruth Negga in preacher. Her Texarkana accent is pretty spot on. Didn't even know she was from the isles. Story was p-gud too.
Doctor who suffers from poor budgets; More Notable Events, Weather and Sports at 11:00!
He still comes around from time to time. It's been awhile, but surely he's just busy with life and what not.

The audio-only appearance is Claudia. The visual appearance in the last ep is Leah Byrne, the replacement appearance.

Also, all those format changes would be weird. Being all audio would freak most people out. The mice ep would be hilarious. Switching between 3 Doctors in one series would throw people off.

Twin Peaks was an unconscious influence on the whole thing.

Also, I think Phoebe's playing the Azure Guardian.

I agree she was a good counter-part for Three.

Thanks. That was fun to write.

Ruth Negga's great, and Preacher's a lot of fun.

You've probably seen many trips come and go I suppose. Not unlike the Doctor seeing many companions go

Ahh that's a neat way of handling the cast change.

The format changes remind me of the genderfluid genius' ambitious Foreman plans that never seemed to pan out - series being part audio, part standalone 45m eps, part 1x20m classic style eps, part comic, etc etc.

They come home to /who/ to visit occasionally. Most of them. So, That's nice.

The difference is that Foreman was serious, whereas I was intentionally creating a Series 11 that would defy every expectation. The Thirteenth Doctor has almost no regular appearances except the freak carnival ep; a companion dies in between episodes; a companion is named "Bitch", pissing off leftists, but there are three female Doctors, pissing of traditionalist; the fist thing Atwell Doctor does is make out with companions; the 15th Doctor watches her companions shag...I am intentionally pissing off everyone.

I want Negga for the Doctor. Any favorite bits of my fake Series?

Bottle ep?

>A bottle episode is produced cheaply and restricted in scope to use as few non-regular cast members, effects and sets as possible.

Basically stuff like Blink and Heaven Sent.

...

Ah, I see. Yeah, I suppose it could be a bottle ep. But wouldn't that apply more to the "3 episode philosophical discussion between 13 and B against Phoebe"?

>Blink
>Bottle episode
not caught up so can't comment on HS but blink is not even close to a bottle episode
A bottle ep would be something only involving the doctor, companion, and the tardis set + maybe one for intro/outro that's been seen before
"the" archetypical bottle episode i always think of is the Community episode where Annie's pen goes missing and they never leave the study room.

But that episode had lots of different sets used for flashback scenes. The ideal bottle episode is like the D&D episode.

I will always remember when the DW team was them

This, pretty harmless misunderstanding but yeah Blink is a Doctor-lite ep not a bottle ep. A closer comparison Who-wise might be solely Amy's portions of The Lodger (entirely in the TARDIS). Breaking Bad fly ep. Seinfeld Chinese ep.

Midnight is a good Doctor Who one come to think of it.

Is it the pen ep or a different ep where the gag is it's set up like a bottle episode+clip show, except all the clip show stuff is entirely new footage, so the ep would actually be more expensive than normal cause they had to film tonnes of new stuff? Very funny meta stuff

Perhaps I should've said Doctor-lite episode, yeah? Also should've said Flatline rather than Blink.

Also The Girl Who Waited. The Doctor is all in Tardis and Amy & Rory only use 3 different sets (4 if you are counting the garden).

Yeah, those episodes in that fake Series 11 with 13 and B versus Phoebe in a black void are true bottle eps.

dr whomst

well that's actually the episode i'm about to watch so i guess i'll see, neat
and yeah doctor-lite is the term you were thinking of

Now that I realise... That's my mistake yeah, I mixed up the episodes. The one Annie's pen gets lost is a bottle episode, the one I'm talking about is the one where they find it. It consists on all new footage.

Yeah, Doctor-lite. That would actually be funny--having Kris Marshall play a fake Doctor, that the real Doctor uncovers.

the annie's pen one is where Abed literally says it's a bottle episode during the episode, yeah

That's a good one because the story is exciting enough you don't notice too much. DW tries to spin the doctor-lite and companion-lite eps to their creative advantage too, Midnight and Turn Left were clever ways to do it in S4, The Lodger worked great in S5, etc. A lot of series you can't even tell what the lite eps are so much because they've gotten good at working around it.

Both great episodes. My favourite Community episode is the multiple timeline one, that was great

look at these lesbos

>"I love it. I love every episode the man’s written. I love the other episodes he’s rewritten and I think few people know how many that is. I love the detail, I love the scale, I love the people, I love the jokes. I love the fact that Steven himself is quite down on The Beast Below. The whole of the UK on a spaceship? The whole of the UK is a spaceship? I’d retire there and then, complete. Nope, for him, it just wasn’t good enough.
>I love his women. Consider, in bad fiction, which is most fiction, how women’s roles, which have suffered so many years of neglect that they can be summarised as ‘women’s roles’, fall into the same old categories. They are reduced to the Mother, the Wife, the Daughter, the Bride. Agents of sex and childbirth, nothing more. But then look at what Steven does with those categories. The Bride stands tall at her reception – literally in her wedding dress – and summons the Doctor back into existence with an Old Maid’s rhyme. When the Bride has a Daughter, it’s a vital part of a galaxy-spanning revenge. The Daughter then becomes the Wife, a woman of such swagger and joy and tenderness, the Time Lord finally falls in love. We’re not done yet. A lesser category pops up, the Dominatrix, complete with eye-patch, but don’t worry, the Bride who’s the Mother of the Daughter who’s the Wife kills her stone dead! Then a lesbian travels the universe and everyone adores her. And nestling at the heart of the show is Doctor Who’s very own problem category, the Companion, a title inherently subordinate to the Man. Until Clara comes along! Companion to every single moment in the Doctor’s life. A woman so strong that in her first appearance, and her last, Death itself cannot stop her. A decade before Wonder Woman, Steven started weaving his own vast female mythology across the stars, in a funny old children’s show on Saturday teatimes." - Russell T Davies, 2017

where's matt lucas?

This proves my point: the people who are upset about a female Dr Who should be executed in the street.

Community's Inspector Spacetime thing never quite worked for me, it was a Doctor Who parody but didn't feel very Doctor Who-ish. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it never really worked for me

youtube.com/watch?v=bfvm0j0eN0Y

Without hope, without witness, without reward, a Moffchad is only a Moffchad in extremis, and an article for DWM isn't in extremis. But I believe RTD and agree with a lot of his sentiments in that article.

based rtd

it's more like star trek but with a layer of doctor who setpieces

How does that prove that point?

“Only in darkness are we revealed. Goodness is not goodness that seeks advantage. Good is good in the final hour, in the deepest pit. Without hope, without witness, without reward. Virtue is only virtue in extremis. This is what he believes, and this is the reason above all I love him — my husband, my madman in a box, my Doctor.”

Moff wrote that in the year that he hadn't planned on doing, one he had plenty of reasons for effectively checking out on. He could have let the show have another hiatus year, he could have completely phoned it in for the year. Instead, we got what we got. The Moff is the Moff in extremis.

"Every time I feel sad about life all I have to do is remember that Stevie Wonder gag from A Good Man Goes to War and I piss myself laughing."
- Russell The Daves

Wanderer, did you read my fake Series 11 above?

That was one of his best jokes in his entire career. And I have seen Coupling.

I read the first post but the rest was tl;dr tbqhwyf

Read it all pls. It's not that long, and has funny jokes.

I love Chibnall's expression in his pic. We're gonna have fun with him over the next years
