I'm not big on anime but I generally enjoy the acclaimed movies more than the acclaimed series. Most Ghibli is great along with things like Paprika, Perfect Blue, Akira, and some Shinkai movies. FLCL, Death Note, and Bebop are the only anime series I've ever really enjoyed so I'm probably considered an anime pleb but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
