At least you have a car...

At least you have a car... there is no greater shame than being a busrider or getting drives from your parents in Ontario Canada.

I will buy a car by this summer.

Well?

>cager

Get a Toyota

>caring what normies think
Kys

It's more than that though. It makes my life much harder and time consuming

Yes was looking at toyota carolla or mazda3

in north america owning a car is cheap as fuck, go get one NOW

Older model rav4s are pretty great. Mine has been going for 120,000 miles and has only had problems with the camshaft and engine coils, nothing major. Doesn't get the best gas mileage though.

Aren't crossovers not great to drive though?

I can't even afford the license..

>Falling for the car meme
Don't do it man, unless you can pay for it all upfront. Just take public transport or ride a bike. Cars are curse in this world.

Are you literally homeless? License fees here are like $150

But the bus costs money and is inefficient. And yes I will buy it from a private seller for cash.

>License fees here are like $150
Lucky you..
A drivers license here is around 1800 Euro (if you have someone to testdrive with before that) but more likely around 2200-2800 Euro.

>bus costs money
as opposed to cars
>is inefficient
in what regard

Not him but I gave 18 000 SEK (around 2000 dollars) for my license around 8 years ago. It's even more today.

>License fees here are like $150
Wow that's pretty expensive. Here it's $33 and that gets you three tries at the test.

Wow that's retarded what the hell is it for? Government workers making $300/hr to process your paperwork?

>>bus costs money
>as opposed to cars
I meant as in it's not exactly free... if it was free then that'd be a decent competition.

>>is inefficient
>in what regard
Takes longer (can't take highway, not all destinations on bus route), can't transport things on bus very well. I rather get a car.

>Wow that's retarded what the hell is it for?
It takes almost a month to finish your license here.
>thenewbieguide.se/driving/the-step-by-step-guide-to-a-swedish-driving-license/
And every single step costs money, books for the theoretical courses costs money.
And fail either one, you gotta pay again.

Oh here it's 3 stages. Takes 2 years total minimum to get full license that doesn't expire and has no restrictions.

What kind of vehicles does it apply for?
Here a drivers license only cover normal cars and small trucks under a certain weight.
Above that you need another class of license that costs even more.
For motorcycles it's another one. Etc etc.

When I took my drivers license it took 5 weeks.
>passed the health check up and eye tests
>finished my practice driving
>failed the theoretical by one question
>had to take it again
>risk test, passed that (moose test, ice road etc)
>the actual driving test, forgot to check my mirror once, failed
>had to take it again, passed that time

It get's stupidly expensive here.
But once you pass that's it, full drivers license in the mail after 5 days.

My buddy is buying a 2017 Ford Fusion Sport for 33k, how do I tell him he's fucking retarded anons

you open your mouth and tell him he's fucking retarded

Same here.

It's three stages in my province.
G1
>Need to be 16 to take
>$15 I think or something per attempt
>Multiple choice written test
>Can drive regular cars with an experienced driver next to you

G2
>Takes 12 months or 8 months(with ministry approved lessons) after G1 to be allowed to take
>15 minute easy regular street driving test
>Can drive on your own but with restrictions

G
>Can only take test a year after passing G2
>Test includes highway driving and you need to sign a paper saying you've practiced it a certain amount of times within the few months
>can drive with no restrictions and it doesn't expire

But highway driving is easier... Or you dond have traffic jams where you should find your way 10 cm far away other cars?

We don't have anything like your G1 in Sweden.
We have to be 18 to drive.
You can start practice driving though at that age with an adult with qualified license and at least 4 years experience. Usually a parent.
Sadly I didn't have anyone to drive with so I had to wait until I turned 18 and hire a practice driver..

Other than that the drivers license is pretty simple here. It does expire after 10 years but you simply pay a small fee and get a new license (they just mail it).

What does restrictions mean though for you guys?
Here once you got a license there is no restrictions from day one.
You can drive anything from a smart car to a Bugatti, alone, across country etc as long as it's below a certain weight (I think it's 2.5 tons and above where you need a truck license)

i feel you fellow canadian. i'm 23, my father's fucking rich and he still refuses to buy me a fucking car and he doen't let me borrow his car either, i always have to get rides from my friends or my mother

>wanting a shitbucket no matter what
Whoa. So this is the famous fragile masculinity I've heard about...

Restrictions as in you can only have a certain amount of passengers at certain times, can have a certain amount of alcohol and some other shit that doesn't matter. Basically nothing

It saves you time and makes life easier. What is wrong about it?

Come to India and get an international licesne

>riding a bus

Insane.

>my poor ass is burning
