In my experience girls tend to keep their head down and actually do the work like the guys (CompSci). The difficulty of the work tends to self select for these, and weeds out the "omg look at my new macbook it just werks" "grrrlz in tech XD" losers.

But there are always 1 or 2 SJWs. Luckily in my case they were never loud about their beliefs, and they tend to bunch together which makes them easier to avoid.

The only way you fix this is by having liberals out of the board and executive positions in college. Also, there needs to be discipline for teachers who do more than just teach their subject in terms of political and social ideals of which they pass to the kids.

However this all starts at the elementary and high school levels. At Vassar College we have an issue with students who expect these ideals, freshman. It's a big issue not just for my university where they report teachers if the curriculum doesn't meet their expectations or thread on their emotions. It's making teachers afraid of their students so they dumb down the course to keep their jobs.

There's online schools with central minded teachers who tell kids both sides and just give them facts to come to a conclusion themselves. It's noteworthy that most lean right on these issues. I know one with accreditation and can give out high school diplomas.

The sad part is that the social sciences got us into this mess and it's the only education that can get us out of it.
