Not making something bad is commendable, but he's never made a masterpiece either. He's an entry level pleb's favorite director for a reason. Easy accessibility, easy to digest. Traps himself in gimmicky themes and plots in order to capture a viewer rather than great filmmaking. Cinematographers he uses are forced to be framing whores, which might be nice for a screenshot, but anything with movement in his films is beyond average.

If he stepped out of his comfort zone and made a drama with no violence/sci-fi/crime gimmick maybe I'd acknowledge he's a great director instead of a good one. He's a one trick pony that does his trick well, but more for production company profits rather than making a masterpiece to be remembered for all time. I applaud him for putting forth more effort than Michael Bay. But he's nowhere near the greatest directors ever.

I'd take 1 masterpiece and 10 shit films over Nolan's filmography. Every movie he's made since Dark Knight has just been a flavor of the every 2 years.

Reel talk.

Plebs, Inherent Vice and Darjeeling Limited are among the strongest in each filmography

>objectively wrong opinions
Are you literally retarded?

Tarkovsky

Underrated post.

3/17

Does this "western" actually have a rap music soundtrack? Or was this just added on top of this video by some youtuber?
Because if it's the former then jesus christ what a fucking joke.

Wong Kar-Wai

Is this post plebfilter? Because it's already filtered out 3

...

I can only name one good Tarantino movie.

kek

how is it a joke? what part of the western generic conventions implies only banjo music? it fits the movie very well.

You're a contrarian
Has made literally one good movie

If you claim to dislike Nolan's work, you are nothing but a contrarian as almost all of his films are objectively excellent.

t.someone who hasn't seen more than 100 films.

ooh wow 100 films? man, that's impressive.

wew

This

katie tipple kinda sucked
