Nice double trips and yes, >I hate how the show doesn't make it blatant that what Lapis does isn't okay this very much. I know it's all because of the Steven's viewpoint thing, Steven being a naive kid who doesn't see how things really are and who refuses to see what a monster Lapis really is, but it pisses me off so much. Especially because from the way she's been handled recently it really seems they'll just gloss over the whole "permaraped a teammate for months and destroyed their sanity for no reason, just felt angsty and needed to let out the rage" situation and focus on how widdle Lapis has been through so much, I mean they had to hold a captive down against their will in a fusion they didn't want to be in for months, it's taxing, we need to hold their hand while they recover and never apologise for anything.
It's pretty sad when you think of it, especially because the show clearly tries to tackle these big themes of grey morality and deal with them well.

Even though Lapis is pretty much PTSD:the character, I don't think I've ever felt the same sympathy with her as with other characters. I've teared up in this nuke alone with Mr.Greg, Centipeetle's breakdown, Bismuth's speech and Jasper's meltdown, but never felt anything with anything Lapis related. I don't know if it's just bad writing or she's unlikeable though

Personally I think it's because she's unlikeable. The show has rendered me to tears as well, and centi's breakdown was truly touching, but Lapis just reminds me of a domestic abuser. Like, if she really was a more childish/kind Diamond then the whole shattering thing is a lot more emotionally complex.
But the fucking "Oh, these lions are the shards of PD and our lion is one of them and..." means really nothing for the story. Even IF Lion somehow got his powers from a shard of PD, that wouldn't make HIM Pink Diamond. He's still a glorified housecat, just an irradiated glorified housecat.
