Looks like we have some meme kino on the menu boys
Sony announces 'Meme Movie'
But we already have Refn?
Oh no.
fake news
Didn't the trololol guy die?
memes are epic so ill probably buy it
guardians of the galaxy already exists
Sweet, it's only about 10 years too late.
But seriously this is fake right?
No reddit took them, they always take the scraps.
By 2020 the memes will be ancient history. Those reaction faces in op's pic are already old as fuck
Nice source
Yeah no shit
You know movie pitches take at least 5 years to gain interest, let alone funding right?
>their adventures through cyberspace and internet forums
will they enter Sup Forums?
>no CIA
D R O P P E D
Whynne is going to get rich as fuck.
The bad guy will obviously be a racist, intolerant, misoginistic, bigoted, drumpf supporting Pepe.
who will play the cunny?
What happened to that one meme movie that was supposed to have Rick Astley in it?
Sony is throwing everything at the wall at this point
What are the chances they include baneposting
Finally a real nerd culture film, and not those comic book flicks.
Can't wait to see it in cinema with my friends.

>Brazzers already did TWO meme movies
>They used the good memes and not the shitty reaction faces from 9gag

youtube.com
Holywood, step up your game.
>this beautiful man isn't there
What did they mean by this?
10 years ago the general public absolutely did not know what the word "meme" meant.
What were memes like in 2007 on Sup Forums?
t. discovered Sup Forums in 2010
At work so I can't check. Whats the 2nd one? I know Sup Forums basically wrote the fucking script for the bane meme porno
Cringey as fuck by today's standards.
Pretty much any meme that became popular from 2012 to this day existed 5 years earlier on Sup Forums and died 5 days later.
Who is the mother bane
anybody here remember years ago on Sup Forums how serious people were about the distinction between image macros and memes? if you called an image macro a meme you'd be guaranteed to get corrected
Dafyre Reeses
this and
>no seed and feed
DROPPED
Fuck you buddy
Which is why they shouldn't make a movie based on trends that fade in and out of popularity in a matter of months
Juana of Ass
are image macros even a thing anymore?
Do not forget about motivationals.
The trailer is out already:
youtu.be
uhm I think you posted the wrong link
Ever been to imgur? People there still use the bear and penguin macros in a completely unironic way
nah I never leave Sup Forums
well except for exhentai of course
will 9gag frog be the villain since he's white nationalist?
I still remember seeing memes that had been dead for years from Sup Forums posted on 9gag when it first gained traction.
9gag users weren't even beating a dead horse. They were grinding its bones to dust.
Better.
Unrelated, so I herd u liek mudkips.
Yes. I miss those days.
Then Facebook snorted the bone dust.
This thread is now a nostalgia thread
Socially Awkward Penguin is still around on 9gag.
I don't remember what the first meme I saw on Facebook portrayed, but fuck me if it wasn't a somewhat surreal and cringy experience.
I'm kinda surprised over the fact that EFG never got any particular traction outside of Sup Forums. At least I never noticed any.
fuck you
Other than the forever alone même I can't think of any others.
À lot of Sup Forums mêmes are hard to be appropriated by memes due to their edginess. Caturday was an exception.
neither they do know now
He's talking about the guy who made it...
Fpbp
Yes they do. Memes have been mainstream for awhile now.
Main character from Drive, Mike Stoklasa and Jay Bauman, Sheev, checking these dubs (boobs) and some other stuff I don't remember
you sure m80?
Sony is truly disconnected from reality. It's amazing.
There's more for you twitter.com
There are still people who think memes are image macros or funny pictures.
Quick, someone pitch a movie idea about fidget spinners. Include voice actors. Budget: 120 million.
Generation Z was a mistake.
>There are still people who think memes are image macros or funny pictures.
Yes. Those people have gone from being a subset of people on Sup Forums who get corrected whenever they use the word "meme" to the wider public.
Like it or not, everybody knows and uses the word meme now.
>10 years too late.
10 years ago memes weren't even dank and Sup Forums produced 98% of them.
Sup Forums now only makes 60% at best.
jdimsa
yeah, but they still dont' know what it means. People hava a broad or misguided concept of what meme means, but they don't know what a meme is.
Face it, meme means what they think it means. It was already pretty futile trying to tell people not to call image macros "memes" years ago, its blatantly wrong now.
Its crazy how Pepe got absolutely murdered. I know my brother loves that shit, he watches people play games on twitch TV.
*memes your path*
Not as disconnected as you, obviously, since you took this obvious bait.
CIA belongs to Warner Bros/DC
The Russian singer?
Sony may not be creating a Meme Movie, but they are creating something else:
>Sony developing movie based on internet meme 'Slender Man'
engadget.com
Milhouse mainly
This is literally the correct usage of the word. They're implying all of the guy's facial expressions are great reaction images, ie memes. You can disagree that this is true, but the usage of "meme" is correct by definition.
>trollface
>forever alone guy
>rage face
>me gusta
>okay guy
Rage comics the movie?
youtube.com
They tried it.
>no Pickle Rick
D R O P P E D
Worse than the worst reddit memes are now.
Like Longcat, orly, shoop da woop, WE ARE LEGION
Well for one I think its risky. Trollfaces and epic xd memes come and go fast every day theres a lots of them waiting to be replicated and turned into the new spammed meme of the day so what they can do is a very vague movie about the general idea of memes at most. Unlike emojis, that are at least a little consistent memes are decidedly intentioned to stay in the public's consciousness. the memes must obbey a rigid system and must be posted, preferably all the time. They change every time but they are memes and everyone needs to know that
a meme is an infectious idea. that is the proper definition.
yeah, but the other 40% are cringeworthy cancer from facebook and (((black twitter)))
hey guise how do i trolle

They are hated by modern redditors, which is a good way to expose them.
...
>those Socially Awkward Penguin/Foul Bachelor Frog threads on Sup Forums
The most fun I ever had on Sup Forums. Now I'm stuck with you humorless fucks obsessed with what's reddit and what isn't
take it, it's yours
Source?
t. Reddit
Finally my degree will pay off!!!
Upside is, creators of this shit would finally get a paycheck. Man... actually, I'd hate to be the sony lawyer in charge of having to track down original source for all of those. The only one I can identify is the "Clean All The Things" girl, which was from that Hyperbole And A Half webcomic.
that's not real
Really weird timing
i was at this market in prague looking at bootleg pic related t-shirt and thought how much that shit aged. so much that its almost ok to wear it ironically. thought for a second about buying it
Unfortunately, it is. A bit dated now though.
does that mean B^Uckley will finally make money of CAD?
