I am fairly self sufficient.
>live in rural woods
>can go off the grid
>proficient hunter and fisherman
>avid gardener
>brew my own beer, cider, wine, and shine
>have many supplies
>guns guns and more guns
>close friends and relatives have formed a pseudo militia

I am ready!

You have to be to live with a dysfunctional government like we do.

Most Dominican houses have backup inverters and water tanks, and pretty much everyone that has a back yard has food bearing plants in some form or another.

We use machetes for everything here.

>learning "hobbies" that all have a survivalist bent.
>Keeping an eye for cheap, small and useful items that can be traded.
>Target Practice
>Working to leave the city asap.

don't bother

the government will just sprinkle poison all over your crops in the name of bug killing or wildfire prevention when they feel you're being too free

When most people get hit with the collapse pill, they tend to think "gotta get me a cabin inawoodz".

What they don't get is how expensive and impractical this is if you don't already live inawoodz.

If you already do, congratulations. Defend that land farmer Giles, the ghouls are comin'.

If you're a millennial like me, a broke, underemployed and indebted schmuck who fell for the uni/college Jew then this simply is not a feasible solution.

Collapse also won't be like the fucking movies. This isn't Hollywood. It's slow unless something happens quickly. We're already in a slow and painful collapse.

An example of a worse slow and painful collapse is Greece and Venezuela. An example of a quick collapse and everyone pulling through and making it work is Cuba.

Cuba was forced to start growing organically and anybody who could grow food did, in any space that they could. Venezuelans have only just fucking started doing this, after months and months of lining up for fuck all supplies.

>So the best skill to learn would be small scale urban farming
if you're broke. If you can do that you're miles ahead of the competition already. If you can do this and feed yourself when everyone is lining up for shit food, even better.

>study health and lifestyle, and first aid.
Keep healthy. Stay fit. Stay sane. All the skills are fuck all if you can't deal with the psychological effects of things going to hell. Judging by how people react to terrorism and Brexit, a lot of people can't cope with shit.

>Learn self defense
Pretty much everyone is getting mugged and robbed in Venezuela right now. When things fall apart, and if you can't get inawoodz, you're going to have to learn how to defend yourself.

>>Keeping an eye for cheap, small and useful items that can be traded.
This guy has the right idea. Want an idea of how important these things are? Look at Bosnia.

If you're broke and got no land. Travel light. Be adaptable. Get skills. Find a way to be useful.

I have a gun and a ski mask.

What sort of items?

why not just scavenge and kill others for their resources, or are you a pussy?

You are all preppers
You Prep the bull

will be moving to a rural area within the next 3-4 years.

All my neighbors are old and/or liberals. I will have my own kingdom within a day

Lighters are solid gold.

Tin openers would also be valuable.

Swiss army knives also.

i have memorized most of the do/k/ument but i lack real world skills

how do i git gud?

Live in my bug out van, have another one I'm fixing up to park in the country at a friend's house.

Almost debt free and saving $2k/month to buy homestead land by not paying rent/bills.

Feels good man.

where did you find one of those??? I have looked for years and only find ones that are falling apart. Does it have the icemaker/beercooler center consol?

>not shooting down the plane with a Russian supplied AA rocket

I'm very interested in prepping but I live in Northern Ireland (I'm on my holidays at the moment). Anyone have tips on what I should do?
I realize Northern Ireland (Or the island of Ireland in general) is a decent spot for prepping, but I need to know about what skills I should need to know. Any of you preppers got tips for me?
I have minimal gear. A morakniv knife, full MTP gear, good combat boots, a decent bag and weapons skills (I was in cadets and have shot an SA80 and an L86A2 LSW) so I shouldn't be hopeless

>Canada

The only thing you prep is the BBC bull.

Honestly if you're broke it's knowledge and staying healthy that is important.

Look into urban farming.

Also in Northern Ireland you're better off than us in the mainland, you get guns for fuck sake. So get a gun.

Having an acre of land and knowing how to farm it helps.

You could probably get by with less if you grow vertically.

Collect water and filter or boil before drinking.

Or ignore all of this and just rob people.

Get on my level.

I live at 9300' above sea level.
I own guns. Not one, but many.
So do my neighbors.

I generate power with solar panels, wind, and water. 4200 watts of panels, 2100Ah of battery storage at 48V.

I have an icehouse. I cut and store ice during the winter to chill my food the rest of the year.

I have a 1000 gallon propane tank, and 6 40lb portable tanks. I have a 500 gallon gas tank at my shop, and a 110 gallon tank in the back of my truck (plus the 26 gallon tank that's built into the truck). I have wood burning stoves in my home and my workshop, with over 12 cords of wood put up.

If I wanted to get rid of all the food in my ice boxes and freezers, my family and I could do it in about 18-24 months, if we ate like pigs.

There are no niggers within 50 miles. None.
The nearest town has one Marshal and his deputy.
We practice shooting together at the local rifle range sometimes.

Every two or three months, I go to a city for vacation. I raise chickens, get 15-20 eggs every morning. My freezers are filled with elk, deer, moose, trout, beef, buffalo, and swine.

I have a root cellar filled with fruit and vegetables we canned last fall, as well as fresh root veggies and fruits.

I own an ISP. Not much, but it's mine. I trade with some of my customers. One gives beef, another pork. One trades moonshine, another the pot he grows in the summer. I get fresh milk 6 months of the year from a neighbor. We hunt together, fish together, and drink together. We teach our kids together.

I have a well for water, in case the spring ever goes dry. I have a septic tank, plus an outhouse, just in case.

Life is good.

i'm ready for the blastwave

I prep for reasonably realistic situations, such as possibly losing my job, a snowstorm, or a battle with armed niggers. Ain't too much to prep for in MKE.

can I work at your shop to eventually buy land?

I have a good survival bag, filled with everything for innawoods. Sadly, innawoods is my last option. Trust me, it gets old.

I don't have a good plan for staying home. No generators, no fuel stock, no extended water supply. Don't feel good about that. My family looks at me odd when i insist we need these things. For an disaster. They heed with no urgency. Feels bad man.

>be prepper in america
>the great race war begins
>the USAF drowns your farm in Agent Orange
>get shot

that sounds so comfy user

How did you learn this stuff? Assuming of course your family didn't teach you.

I know all kinds of shit, I've worked on farms and many other jobs.

I do have a plan, somebody else is prepping for me. They just don't realize it.

I live in downtown Dallas Texas, I have a big back yard but crops aren't really feasible because I'd have to constantly defend a backyard with a 4 foot chain link fence.

Instead I have about 100 pounds of rice, probably 60 pounds of raw oats (actually eat them a lot) maybe 75 pounds of flour (make my own bread a lot) plus sugar, brown sugar, 30ish pounds of quinoa and 50 pounds of popcorn (which can be planted to grow decent corn?) and a shit load of Campbell's chunky soups, tuna, beans, etc (probably 300 cans?)

Only a 1911 and a garand though, should be enough right? Have a whole case of .45 acp but not much 30-06.

If shit did hit the fan there's literally nowhere for me to go. Hundreds of miles of suburban sprawl around me, I'd probably die on a freeway.

Not really a prepper though, I eat all this shit on the reg.

that's all just shit that someone does when they live anywhere outside of a city

I have 2 of them now, haha... I searched Craigslist for "Toyota Van" and max year 1990.

I have a cargo version and an LE with the dual sunroofs that I'm fixing up. They're awesome vans.

The one in the pic isn't mine, I WISH I had a 4x4 one.

This plz

There's an OK one in Denver right now denver.craigslist.org/ctd/5701690019.html

Yeah u fuckers draw lines in the sand with them machetes. Dom rep is pretty ok tier for non white countries.

>tfw you're a broke swede with nothing but a .22 surrounded by a city of musloids.

atleast someone is living the dream and having a good time, stay safe user

Dude its a 1988 with 182000 miles on it for 4 grand. It's like you're trying to get jewed

Oh yeah, I work for FEMA so I'm good to go.

>How did you learn this stuff?

I started doing simple tech work in 1993. Got into IT, worked up to taking care of 300+ people at an advertising agency, eventually became a network engineer.

Owned an old house and learned to do electrical work by rewiring it--it was built in 1915 and had a mix of cloth, aluminum, and modern wiring, but only 3 fucking breakers for whole house and the detached carriage house.

Learned plumbing the same way when I remodeled the kitchen and bathroom, plus helping friends fix their shit.

I learned RF theory, solar power, generators, DC electronics, battery systems, and simple woodworking with the help of the interwebz. It's not just for porn and bantz, ya know.

I don't bother trying to hire anymore. I got tired of working a hundred hours a week, so I raised my prices until demand fell to a level I can do by myself.

Fuck employees. Everyone wants a job, but no one wants to work.

To be honest I think that post is pasta, the time it takes to cut ice is pretty intense. Also, all that fuel will have condensation after awhile and will be useless

been watching a lot of Varg

It's my goal, I live in the countryside so shouldn't be that difficult to get going

>...Or are you loaded with debt,

loaded up credit cards with SHTF supplies, guns and ammo.
>since the shit will hit the fan anyway ...

Wrong the best would be to form militias and take over other peoples belongings.

Havent you ever read a history book?

I live in Finland.

The best thing to do is get a checklist of things you will need, laminate it and have a grease pen. Have 3,000 cash at least on hand. Enough ammo to defend yourself (do not hoard) all that ammo can get condensation in it and it also sends off a blip to the feds. Have enough MRES to last a month get some life straws. Get a basic tool kit (99 dollar one at costco works). Warm clothes, fire starter, cheap butane stove off Amazon plus fuel, a good hiking backpack, a couple of good knives, a slingshot with good .50 cal muzzle loader balls(for small game)

This will put you way ahead of the curve

>innawoods is my last option. Trust me, it gets old.

kek. You must be doing it wrong.

My day started at 5am. A few chores around home then off to work at 8. Installed 2 new customers today, some general maintenance, finished early at around 6 so collected a buddy and went fishing till dark. Caught a dozen graylings, 6 brookies, 2 rainbows, and 2 fat cutthroats that I brought home.

Had dinner, put the kids to bed, fucked the wife, and now I'm shitposting, prepping an equipment order and downoloading a few movies while drinking bourbon and smoking cigarellos.

How was your day?

Well played user, you remind me of that guy who wrote the hurricane katrina survival guide based on his experiences

Learn a skill, get some cash, and move to glorious Västerbottens inland

All my colleagues are more or less survivalists because they've grown up with it

This.

w-w-r.blogspot.ca/2013/03/on-preppers.html

Why should i ? America will protect me.

Who gives a shit about debt in a doomsday scenario

Why do you think I said a bunch of ghouls would be on his farm?

Yes I have read history. I've also read books speculating about how this shit would go down.

Also read about Bosnia.

People do form militias.

But if you are broke and on your own, I recommended skilling up, travelling light and staying mobile.

Another option is to learn guerrilla warfare too. Fuck militias shit up.

>the time it takes to cut ice is pretty intense

WTF else do you think I really have to do in winter at 9300'?
We get 35 feet of snowfall in an average season.
The lakes don't melt until late May-early June.
Plus, there are these cool things called power tools now, user.
Thickest ice I cut is 14-16". Hook it up, winch it onto the trailer, and haul it out.

>Also, all that fuel will have condensation after awhile and will be useless

I burn about 40 gallons a week between all vehicles, refill the main tank every 2 months.

There are additives you can use, but they'll only keep it good for about 2 years max in the case of a happening. Then it's on to horseback, and battery tools only.

>nothing but a .22

.22 is a fine weapon. Get yourself some Velocitors.

How difficult is it to kill with a .22? I heard they make for good home defense weapons because they can wound and scare intruders off. But it sounded like it's a weak weapon to kill.

Pretty easy. I've taken everything up to and including mule deer with a .22.

Killed 8 coons and 2 coyotes with one this year alone.

If a .22 is all you have for an intruder, I guess it's better than nothing, but it's not a good idea to wound one, lawsuits and all that. I keep a 12ga coach gun in the house and for hiking, and a .44 with 405gr hollowpoints for bears and 2 legged critters.

Best thing about .22 is the cost, the accuracy, and the fact that absolutely anyone can shoot one. I got my daughter her first gun for her birthday 3 months ago, a 10/22 Talo takedown and she can put 10 rounds into a 2" target at 50 yards in about 30 seconds already.

Yeah, stanadyne will carry u so far. But we have proof time and time again within 72 hrs of a happening tribalism sets in so your good anyway if you're with a good crowd

I remember this pasta from last thread

>preppers
sounds like fun holding out against the odds with no plan to fix the issue but I would rather be dead than see my country taken over by a bunch of fucking communists/liberals/niggers

And if its something like a nuke/zombies/yellowstone your gonna have fucking refugees flooding into your property and yeah a gun is nice but 200+ people with nothing to lose can be persuasive

My prepper plan is to put on all my expensive, comfy ass gear whore kit and kill whoever is in the way and if I survive it will be by accident.

>Is anyone here a prepper? Do you have a plan?

Eat sneks and shiet.

The fuck did I just read.

>I remember this pasta from last thread

It's my pasta, and my life, swedecuck.

Shouldn't you be preping a room for a Somalian right now?

Sorry, Caprice.

Will trade room and board for slutty Slav whore who can cook and knows her place.

Na kaleni, suka.

WHERE ARE THE AN-PRIM MEMES???

>life is good

Hello Hickok.

Good Moaning!

Currently stuck in the city. In the event of a real disaster or war scenario, anyone in the city should put aside their delusions of "bugging out". You aren't going anywhere.

If things were to go south tomorrow, my apartment has:
>No way to generate electricity or heat
>Limited ways to generate light
>No extra water and no way to easily get it
>No way to grow vegetables
>A bit of extra food (beans, rice, oats... all of which require boiled water)

Seems like I'd actually be pretty fucked.

At least I have a shitload of ammunition and bushcraft / survival gear, I guess?

Just goes to show how convoluted this "survival" / prepping fad is. Bunch of grown men playing army, that's it.

Wife and I are currently trying to move to a small town of ~2000. I'll prep for real when I'm out there. Don't feel like there's much point in my current location.

Bro, you live in Canada.

There's 1 million people within 25 miles of me. Your all white city with ice fishing polar bears and moose families will be ok

>All white
I live in Vancouver

Sort of? There's an old bunker-type thing that was on the property when I moved in, and I made sure it's in good condition, stocked it with foods, etc. I've also got a rifle and a decent amount of ammunition, in case I need to hunt. But I'm a fucking leaf and in the asshole of nowhere, so I'll probably nevr need any of it. But sometimes I sleep in the bunker anyway, just for a change of pace. I bring some canned food and bottled water, and watch DVDs on the tiny little television in it while I cuddle my rifle.

>I live in Vancouver

I'm sorry.

I participate in these threads to try to help fellow fucktards.

Get The Fuck Out Now.

You're screwed, frogbro. Hard.

At best, you'll run out of food.
At worst, niggers will eat you.

Run fast. Run far. Dig deep, and never look back.

Well, there are no niggers here at least. Just a lot of Poo in Loo's, and the city is essentially owned by China.

Town I am trying to move to is 99.9% white according to statistics Canada. Entire population is white, except for two listed Filipinos. Probably an older couple who owns a motel or some shit. And importantly, there are no natives. Most of those small towns have a reserve nearby. That's always bad news.

Wish me luck. I applied for a job at the lumber camp last Friday.

I remember living in Denver during the blizzard of '98.
They had yuppies on the TV, day and night.

>"We spent 8 hours digging out the driveway. Just needed to go to the grocery store for the basics. The baby ran out of Pepsi!!"

>"The mini-van wouldn't move, so we used the cross country skis!"

Swear to god.
And, this was almost 20 years ago.

I looked in the pantry, counted my rice, and said "Fuck! I'm going to have to shoot my way out in April if this shit keeps going"

Happy Ending:
Only 6 of those asshats froze to death trying to get to the "basics".

not yet

i need to work first so i can afford to buy land

Jealous.jpg

>joining the bandits
You're going to have to make sure every member in the group absolutely NEEDS you for some reason, i.e be a doctor

otherwise you're just another mouth for the group to feed, who takes a share of the loot
and when you cant find anymore defenseless people to rob, you'll become a pretty nice target for your militia friends when its your turn to sleep
