MAA/Marvel Avengers Alliance General

- chapter 12 released
- 394 gold reward
anyone else thinking they're planning ending the game?

Mods got pretty uppity about Sup Forums game generals on here
Surprised this thread hasn't been deleted yet actually

Odin is a fucking op nightmare and the battle is literally game breaking
Playdom was literally Qualty™ all along

final boss should have just been the Playdom logo

So did they ever add Namor or Silver Surfer?

...

Apparently at least Blade got in

No Namor or Silver Surfer, but we got FemThor, Deathlocket, Songbird, Kamala Kahn, and all your other favorite lasses

Man, let me tell ya something about the final chapter of season 2.

Even though it lacked some content, the final fight with Cul Borson using both Thors was actually prettu cool, and the fact that Playdom actually had the guts to "kill" both Thors is probably one of the most surprising moves in a story twist.

Also, holy fuck, the Odin fight is probably one of the hardest ones ever, even if you have any mighty weapon.

But thank god it seems the Incursion storyline isn't over, it might bring a chance to end with an Annihilation spec-ops, since the current turn seems to be going to space and beyond.

None will top Spiral being playable.

I hope there is more this is best marvel story out right now.

This talk of needing the mighty weapons has me a little on edge. Moreso after learning that the current research weapons are bugged ATM

Well, any non Iso infused Mighty weapon works on him, and I mean, the match wasn't that bad thanks to the Generalist Flight Suit (god bless Finest Hour buffs), but the thing is, since Odin has a shield that is reaaaaaaaaally hard to break without Mighty weapons, you are forced to use them in order to have a chance to beat him, not once, not twice, but 3 TIMES

>Having to max out the bar for the last two covers

It sure as hell isn't the first time, but could it possibly be the last?

Fortunately, I have half of the set (axe, mace, trident, hammer). Just gotta get around to upgrading them.

>Don't have any of the upgraded weapons
>Win through cheesing

lmao, i knew those chrono accelerators would be good for something. Don't give odin any turns.

To be honest aside from the Civil War II Spec Ops the game has fairly good writing. A lot of comedic moments are spot on, in particular in the recruitment dialogue, and there are some genuinely hype moments like the Mandarin burning Avengers Tower to the ground.

They also do a number of other neat things in regards to gameplay-story integration like increasing the number of incursion battles as Chapter 2 went on. In the early missions only had one Incursion, with premium missions having 2, now every mission has 2 as the standard, and iirc, the premiums now have 3. The Mokk introduction was also pretty great with him just wrecking Morgan LeFae out of nowhere

Just beat it.
Cul was a cool fight, and Odin was the hardest fight in the game (Cause cheap shield), but now it feels kind of odd for this whole worthy plot to just end like this. Feels like a whimper.

>even if you have any mighty weapon.
I just kept using Chrono boosts for Iron Man and cracked the shield with constant Hyper Beams. If you're lucky on the lineups, you can destroy Odin before he gets his shield up

My mighty weapons did jack all to his shield. Just use Iron Man's Hyper Beam.

>To be honest aside from the Civil War II Spec Ops
I beg to differ.

I disagree, I liked the ending

I think that the Serpent needed to be a lot stronger, though, I dropped him on a level 2-level 9 combo from Jane Foster

Heads up, using the Golden Sextant makes all your attacks Mighty, meaning you can easily damage him by constantly using the sextant

I keep forgetting that's a thing.

Been so busy farming the other mighty weapons that I haven't had a chance to give that thing a go.

That was pretty great, but the rest of the SpecOps was pretty trash. Mainly because Civil War II wasn't particularly well thought out. Ohh no the Inhumans did a thing that we do literally all the time we must stop them. The X-Men being on the Anti-Precog was also pretty funny considering this is a game with Cable and Bishop in it and part of the reason they were anti-precog was because a time traveller came back and told them unverifiable things. The Pro-Precog bunch were just as stupid trusting Maximus at all, but that could have easily been remedied after Doom was in custody.

Makes you really appreciate how Fury keeps shit together.

so how was the battle for you guys?

I find all this gold and cp they're giving away highly suspicious. It's like what? 300 gold and 500 cp give or take.
