20% on rotten tomatoes

>20% on rotten tomatoes

>it's a rotten tomatoes site shilling thread again

who
the
fuck
cares

there's a tiny fanbase who overhype this movie and i don't understand why. it was mediocre at best. seemed to cash in on the hype around tarantino around the time

Good
That flick is awful

Eh it's fun sometimes

More than it deserves. Edgy fan fiction. Makes Trombolino look subtle

>people still use rotten tomatoes

I liked it. But only because of twink mcreedus

THERE WAS A FIRE FIGHT!

Edginess and overtness are inherently awful.

I like the movie personally, but I acknowledge it's criticisms and flaws. That being said, it's a highly watchable movie for most people, and some people absolutely love it.

Shouldn't be below 5/10

mean't aren't.

perhaps a Freudian slip.

too high

It should be lower tbqfh

>highly watchable movie for most people
yeah, nah. probably way less people than you'd think even know the movie, let alone actually like it. it's trash with a very small fanbase

Dafoe was incredibly entertaining in this.

I know. It should be lower.

...

It's a really fun movie. I love it.

I know a Irish family who idolize this movie and the sequel.
Bunch of crazy fucks.

Great movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. It even has Ron Jeremy.

The sequel is pure horseshit.

THERE WAS A FIREFIGHT!!!

Rewatched it for the first time since I was a kid recently. There's some really awful editing and framing, a half second hanging on to a shot before switching in a two shot, angles that make no sense but 'someone' thought it was cool. It's everything a 13 year old wants and its a fun old romp but it makes SO much more sense after watching Overnight. I'm sure as much as his poor 'artistic vision' was crushed by the evil weinsteins. He was a fucking hack who thought he was Jesus.

A great companion docco to Overnight is the 20 Odd Foot Of Grunts documentary 'Texas'. Rusty Crowe in full on "I have no idea every single thing I say is the most galling egotistical shit you'll ever hear"

without the boondock saints we wouldnt have the fucking fantastic documentary about troy duffy, 'overnight'

That's because it's a shitty stupid movie. It's okay if you think of it as an amateur short film, but as a feature length production it's insipid.

I don't know why the proles give it as much praise as they do. Maybe it's some revenge or vigilante justice fantasy common in juvenile minds, but the appeal of this film eludes me.

Now the sequel was a masterpiece and a case study in commercialism and corporatism gone awry in the modern world, but that's for another thread.

It should get more love. It's Grizzly Man good.

I'll reiterate, if you saw it when you were 13 it gets a place in your heart. I dunno, like how people like classic Segal.

That said, it got made in that time when major studios had those smaller divisions willing to spend on movies in the lower mid budget. A lot of great stuff came out then. Now its pretty much spend hundreds of millions and hope for a billion.

What are you, a fag?

You should stop visiting rotten tomatoes if you don't like it, their scale is all over the placeand make no sense.

Unwatchable teen/stoner lol movie

>le this movie its so funny xD

>I don't know why the proles give it as much praise as they do.
It's a very good and well made action comedy with great dialogue. Arguing otherwise just proves what a pretentious humorless loner you are.

>muh boston irish
>awful accents
>just edgy in general

Boondocks Saints is horrible, it deserves a low score.

Fuck this movie was terrible,
I made it like halfway before watching something else.
The first time I ever aborted a movie halfway.

the sequel is one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

>kung pow
>unwatchable
You might lack humour cause of your autism user.

It's the same reason people shill John Wick.

Rotten Tomatoes is a reliable indicator of a film being shitty. Not a reliable indicator of a film being good though. This film is shit. They are right.

The whole religious fanatics reciting scripture while killing those acting out of line with their religious beliefs has gotten kinda.. ruined the last couple of years.

This is one of the worst films of the past 20 years. No redeemable aspects at all.
The documentary about the guy who wrote and directed the film is much better than the film itself. The man is hilariously retarded.

>very good
no
>well made
no
>great dialogue
no

your opinion is a indicator of shit

>le campy kitsch gratuitous violence masked as moral superiority
it's unbelievable how many movies this has ruined

Can you watch Overnight without having seen Boondock Saints?
