But I thought he was broke and had no assets whatsoever?

Do only the super rich pay estate tax?

Can someone post the video where she says we're going to raise taxes on the middle class

>people don't own houses

but of course democrats find a way to tax dead people

I hate Clinton but she's obviously right here. Trump is self interested, same as her.

I MEAN COME ON

Stochastic inheritance

gotta love the fact that hillary will also do nothing for the middle class because she is funded by the 1% and thus she will never try to screw the 1% over. Hillary is a joke.

The estate tax is some serious otherworldly kind of Jewry though, so I'm not surprised that Hillary supports it.

That doesn't even make any fucking sense whatsoever

How would eliminating something that people who own houses need to pay, NOT save them money? What the fuck is she smoking?

>people who inherit houses
Sorry, typed it wrong but you get the idea

>The Whitewater controversy (also known as the Whitewater scandal, or simply Whitewater) began with an investigation into the real estate investments of Bill and Hillary Clinton and their associates, Jim and Susan McDougal, in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed business venture in the 1970s and 1980s.

A March 1992, New York Times article published during the U.S. presidential campaign reported that the Clintons, then governor and first lady of Arkansas, had invested and lost money in the Whitewater Development Corporation.[1] The article stimulated the interest of L. Jean Lewis, a Resolution Trust Corporation investigator who was looking into the failure of Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan, owned by Jim and Susan McDougal. Lewis looked for connections between the savings and loan company and the Clintons, and on September 2, 1992, she submitted a criminal referral to the FBI naming Bill and Hillary Clinton as witnesses in the Madison Guaranty case. Little Rock U.S. Attorney Charles A. Banks and the FBI determined that the referral lacked merit, but Lewis continued to pursue the case. From 1992 to 1994, Lewis issued several additional referrals against the Clintons, and repeatedly called the U.S. Attorney's Office in Little Rock and the Justice Department regarding the case.[2] Her referrals eventually became public knowledge, and she testified before the Senate Whitewater Committee in 1995.

His self interest is preventing a national collapse so that is real estate doesn't lose value

true this
Fuck that cunt though, just to show I'm not a shill.

Implying his residence isn't already Florida and he already has no estate tax

Quickly looked it up and Trump has 4.5 billion. If he got taxed 4 billion it would be 90%. How fucked up is the death tax if it takes 90% of everything you have and gives it to the government if you're rich

IDK why people always say it is, but the estate tax doesn't work for rich people, they have ways around it. Imagine you have a family farm that you are leaving to your children, you die then BAM your children either have to pay the government half the value of your farm (that you already payed off) or forfeit their inheritance.

>text on a black and white picture

Wtf that made me contemplate I'm a berniemissle now

She means it wouldn't benefit 99.8% of her party. Remember that dems in the US are mostly either young kids or minorities that are broke. Neither millenials nor minorities have a signicant home ownership rate in the US.

I wonder if Politifact will fact check this. I bet it gets a "Mostly True" rating for the reason I gave.

>malarkey
What did he mean by this?

His tax plan would benefit a hell of a lot of lower mid class people. Under 50k you annually pay nothing.

Frankly I'm surprised they haven't passed a 50% tax on life insurance beneficiaries.

But I thought they told me he was lying about his wealth?

>Donald Trump isn't even a billionaire
>But estate taxes cost him $4 billion

>convince dems that old people are stupid and rich and should gib money because they have no use for it anymore
>all the young people vote and support this, not realizing that they will one day be in that exact situation

I hate it when they let other people run their twitter accounts. Trump does it too but at least most of his tweets are actually his.

>Implying the actual wealthy ever pay Estate Tax

I really hate this attitude that fucking Leftists have that not taking from people is the same as giving them something.

There should be no fucking Estate Tax, it exists EXCLUSIVELY to make it harder for people who don't have all of their money in polticial foundations like the fucking Clintons to pass it to their children. Estate Tax literally means that you cannot ever truly own anything, or ever truly pass anything on to your children with the government taking another slice of it.

I don't give a shit that it will probably never effect me personally, I'm not a fucking liberal, I care about it because as a matter of principle it is fucking evil. Every single person who supports this should have their teeth removed with a hammer and then be burned alive in a cage. That's what we should do to all thieves.

You have to leave your heirs more than 5 million.. I think...

>not running your tweets through Correct the Record meme algorithims

m8,
i like what you say but why are you trying to create an identity on an anonymous website?

our anonymity is what brings us together

>only the top 0.2% are effected!

but that's blatantly false

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estate_tax_in_the_United_States

>The estate tax in the United States is a tax on the transfer of the estate of a deceased person. The tax applies to property that is transferred via a will or according to state laws of intestacy. Other transfers that are subject to the tax can include those made through an intestate estate or trust, or the payment of certain life insurance benefits or financial account sums to beneficiaries. The estate tax is one part of the Unified Gift and Estate Tax system in the United States. The other part of the system, the gift tax, applies to transfers of property during a person's life.

>In addition to the federal estate tax, many states have enacted similar taxes. These taxes may be termed an "inheritance tax." The tax is often the subject of political debate, and opponents of the estate tax call it the "death tax".[1]

>If an asset is left to a spouse or a federally recognized charity, the tax usually does not apply. In addition, up to a certain amount varying year by year can be given by an individual, before and/or upon their death, without incurring federal gift or estate taxes: [2] $5,340,000 for estates of persons dying in 2014,[3] $5,430,000 for estates of persons dying in 2015,[4] and $5,450,000 (effectively $10.90 million per married couple) for estates of persons dying in 2016.[5] Because of these exemptions, only the largest 0.2% of estates in the US will have to pay any estate tax.

But nah, you're right, they're gonna TAKE YER FARM

>>Implying the actual wealthy ever pay Estate Tax

Then why remove it? It's not like it's gonna make a difference.

>inheritance just creates privileged white children, it should be 100% so the next generation can't systematically oppress PoC

Another year, another attack on a candidate wanting to get rid of the estate tax that only effects .2% of Americans lmao. I also love she doesn't even give an argue meant against it just "oh well he wants to get rid of this thing that might help him he's a vague number $4billion which is probably how much he'll save over his lifetime with the tax not in a year". Liberals are masters of deceit.

Those the rates applied to amounts OVER THE EXEMPTION LIMIT, which is around $5,000,000.

>preventing a national collapse so that is real estate doesn't lose value

Absolute nonsense. You could replace all the nouns with animals and it would make equal sense.

>inheritance just creates privileged

That's true though, all it does is encourage children of wealthy families to sit on their parents' estates and fortune without giving anything back to the society that they benefit from.

It's just hypocrisy, they will talk about "small government" so they can keep all their shekels, but they will use cronyism and pay government officials to pass legislation that only benefits them.

wtf i love malarkey now

didn't he also say pic related in the same speech?

She must have forgotten quite a lot since nobody knows more about the system than Trump.

>tells us he cares about the middle class
Hillary literally, literally said, "we will raise taxes on the middle class"

>preventing a national collapse so that HIS real estate doesn't lose value

Christ mate, are you that much of an autist that you can't work around typos?

How would eliminating the estate tax cause people to lose money?

Depends on the state

Some states will tax any inheritance whatsoever

>Give me a break... It's such a bunch of malarkey.
Not an argument.

The only reason for society to exist is to create privilege for your offspring you stupid leaf. The whole point of working hard and inventing all this shit is so that future generations can have a better life.

It wouldn't. Democrats like to distract the plebs with shiny objects.

>How would eliminating the estate tax cause people to lose money?

Not directly, but it would mean less tax revenue for the government, so they can't use that money for other purposes like helping the middle-class, lowering the national debt, etc.

There should be a drinking game during the presidential debates next month, whenever Hillary says anything that can be refuted with, "not an argument" we take a shot

You just don't understand. Everyone one on Sup Forums is a future captain of industry, we're just hiding in our parents' basement until the current wave of liberal hypercommusocialism is over and then we'll assume our place as billionaire leaders of the world.

Meme currency when?

When you have valuable land, like farmers, no it is not just the super rich. Even IF it was just the super rich, how fucked up is it to pay money to the government to get the shit your family wanted to leave to you? It's fucking theft.

Farmers are the ones who get hit by this the most, and they really shouldn't be getting fucked like that.

The middle class doesn't get any govt help the only people who do are the underclass

America has death taxes? So much for the land of the free.

>Helping their blacks and throwing money into that black hole of a pentagon.

I don't see the problem here.

>getting rid of estate tax saves families $0

??????????????

what planet are these shitfaces on?

So you're saying the middle-class doesn't benefit from social security, medicare, public education and all those services the government provides?

Does Biden understand his quote is literally not an argument?

The one where they take the fruit of your labor and distribute it amongst unproductive malcontents

>get taxed all your life for every dollar you earn and spend
>and when you finally die they tax the shit you managed to put together in the middle of all that

kill yourself communist faggot

The government charges taxes on interest earned from bonds that you purchace from the government. Taxes here are stupid. On the upside we have more carriers than the rest of the world combined.

Social security and Medicare are funded straight out of your own paycheck, it's a pension system that you can't opt out of

Public schools are funded almost exclusively by property taxes which is why places like Massachusetts have great public schools because of high property taxes and why places like Florida that have extraordinarily low property tax rates have some of the worst public schools in the country

Read the thread, leaf

100% this. I love how easy it is to spot the neets that have never seen a pay stub.

Middle class pays for those things. They dont get free gibsmedat. Regardless
>medicare
Is shit and costs more for the middle class that ever before with longer waiting periods
>Public education
Is a mess and if your middle class you have other options for school
>social security
Ahh my favorite can't wait for all the money I stored in government for them to take most of it away to fix the national debt.

It affects the land rich more than anything. If a rancher passes, for his children have to pay taxes on the land he left behind. If they can't land gets seized

THANKS FOR CORRECTING THE RECORD
KILL YOURSELF

I did read the thread. There is no good practical reason to remove the death tax. It won't help the economy, it won't help society in any way.

Fucking Republicans, even running on a populist, anti-establishment, platform, they can't help doing shit like this.

>Middle class pays for those things.

And the benefits they get from it obviously outweigh the taxes they have to pay.

>autists and underage will believe this

I could respect that y'all were racist history enthusiasts but you need to get the Trumpster fire out of her, seriously.

At least Stormfronters have something they believe in, I mean dayum, sheeeit.

Except if your middle class parents want to leave you expensive land, you fucking retard.

Except that wasn't the point of the argument. The middle class doesnt get free help. They pay for those things. You went from they benefit from free money to they benefit from the taxation? I fucking hate liberals.

>Except if your middle class parents want to leave you expensive land

Yeah, really expensive. Read: Pretty much no middle-class family will be affected by this.

Even if you want a smaller government, they could lower the taxes of the middle-class further without removing the death tax instead, but they'd rather do this.

FUCK. THIS. I WANT REPUBLICANS TO TURN INTO THE EQUIVALENT OF A NATIONALIST EUROPEAN PARTY BUT THEY WILL KEEP TRYING TO FUCK OVER THE LOWER CLASSES FOREVER AND MAKING SURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN.

The problem with this is, how am I supposed to believe Hillary or Biden care about middle class people?

Stop giving illegals $114 Billion a year and I'm sure it will work out.

"hi haz no cluu. peried."

how can she talk when she recently said she'll be raising taxes on the middle class.

YEah FUCK TRUMPS FAMILY

TAKE HIS MONEY!

>this is what we are up against.

They don't. Trump is still better overall, but shit like this, or denying climate change is only holding the Republicans back.

The problem with the estate tax is that it causes the population that doesn't already have a huge one to completely disregard building the family up. Instead old people blow ALL of their wealth for two main reasons:

1. Obviously, last life thrills.

2. So much of it will just be stolen by the state anyways, it isn't worth it.

As it stands, the estate tax is absolutely crushing everyone who isn't making 100k+ per family member and collectively maintaining and expanding it for future generations.

Because you will just lose 40-50% of that wealth from government fucking grave diggers.

>Trump wants to eliminate the estate tax
>Hillary wants to tax the middle class

Which one sounds like it doesn't care about the middle class more? One of these things is not like the others.

We need more money to spend it on you again!

>do people actually believe this

Not for lack of trying. Home prices are just too expensive in the US right now. It's far and away cheaper to rent an apartment close to work than buy a house and commute expensively to work.

The nearest work I could find was literally an hour and a half drive away from my home. I had to sell my shitty house at a loss so that I wouldn't bankrupt myself spending $20 on transportation daily. Let alone me being a young male having to pay out the ass in insurance fees.

Even if the tax would never apply to you can you even fucking justify taxing peoples inheritance after the person who left them thr assets payed a lifetime of taxes already? Fucking bullshit

>public education is a service
Fucking kek

t. multimilionaire industrial farmer

>Biden's quote
What's so clever or significant about it? Why is Trump's words "a bunch of malarkey"? Or is Shillary trying to appeal to authority by quoting something from the vice preisdent? The words of an outgoing VP from the opposing political party condemning Trump isn't going to hold much weight in this case.

Not really:

cbpp.org/research/ten-facts-you-should-know-about-the-federal-estate-tax?fa=view&id=2655

>Only roughly 20 small business and small farm estates nationwide owed any estate tax in 2013, according to TPC.

You only start to get taxed at over $5mil/$10mil. Hardly getting crushed.

And the rate is nowhere near 40-50%.

You realize without inheritance tax literally every square foot of America would be owned by wealthy people. Yay feudalism
