t.someone who hasn't seen a American war movie
Loved the movie btw
>#1 in the US box office
Never post in my threads ever again
its actually films Americans pretend to understand
Why did Tom Hardy land his plane in Germany? Why didn't he just land it in Britain? It doesn't make any sense
So basically any film ever made?
>The Mole - 1 week
>The Boat - 1 day starring Scarecrow
>The Pilots - 1 hour starring Bane
>All three POV being told concurrently and also non sequential order.
>Long, boring, dry.
Bob's your uncle.
t. Americunt
Americans are experts at depicting military defeats or extremely unbalanced victories as tales of superhuman courage and heroic struggle. Don't really get your point
he had no gas and not enough altitude to either parachute out or turn around without any propulsion.
Daily reminder
More French fought for the axis as volunteers than fought for the allies
Is there an issue here?
Agreed, Americans would never call a retreat a victory
You tea drinking surrender monkey
what does it mean if I saw it with a THICC mocha honey and she not only loved it, but said it was her second favorite Nolan flick after Following?
Why didnt he just float it into the giant empty water patch in front of the boats?

Just watched a second time
I'm american and I fucking adore this film, really, it was wonderful, considering seeing it a second time to be honest.
>a film about retreating across the ocean after starting a war, leaving your allies to be conquered, and waiting for someone else to win the war for you
It's literally the opposite of what America did so yes it's hard for us to understand.
>the pinnacle of british film making is mediocre at best
>Americans just cant understand it
Im not even a yank
Filed under: war film that isn't about the glorification of the violence itself: Yanks pretend to understand
I'm English and you're a faggot.
...
Not defending OP, but retreat isn't the same thing as surrender.
It is Perfidious Albion, after all.
Really? You got fucked by the Viets and half your burger population still think you won it
>Murcan proves OP's point
So just tell me, American, what's the power is?

200 000 french soldiers died during the battle of France
Americans still have patriotism. Brits on the other hand.
Not him, but he's probably referring to Frenchmen fighting after France's defeat, i.e. more Frenchmen fought for the Charlemagne Division than were in the resistance.
>delusional tea drinking queers
I agree with OP.
Christ thats awful. ISIS tier destruction of history.
>1 division
>more than fought for the allies
>not to surrender
Are the stories about racism in this film true?
The greatest british cinema is probably iBoy(2017) it is miles better than this trash.
And he's still talking bullshit. The Free French contingent that invaded Normandy was bigger than the SS division.
>After the landings in Normandy and Provence, the paramilitary components of the Résistance were organised more formally, into a hierarchy of operational units known, collectively, as the French Forces of the Interior (FFI). Estimated to have a strength of 100,000 in June 1944, the FFI grew rapidly and reached approximately 400,000 by October of that year.[8] Although the amalgamation of the FFI was, in some cases, fraught with political difficulties, it was ultimately successful, and it allowed France to rebuild the fourth-largest army in the European theatre (1.2 million men) by VE Day in May 1945.[9]
There were also 400.000 soldiers fighting in north africa in 1943 and England under De Gaulle (the Free French Forces)
hmmmm
I'll be useful sir
true enough, the US is too big a pussy to fight a real war vs a nuclear power
>foreign SS volunteers
>soldiers
iboy is unironically flickino. In the book, rather than have phone shrapnel give him powers, its dropped from the top of the tower and lands inside his head.
Brits don't understand that America is a continent. Those lousy fucking twats!
Brits don't understand thst America is a continent. Twats!
America won the Vietnam war
Did they really have to make a whole film just because they were done with him?
>another Murcan displays his grasp of history on the internet
Wars are bad for business.
Fear of possible/future wars is the best thing for business.
Bob's your uncle.
B дeнгaх?
american war movies are just
>war huh?
>yeah war
war makes me sad cri
It was France, not Germany
>American education
fuck off and die you horrid little spammer, your videos are garbage
Except they didn't portray them as cowards
But the French are shown actually holding the line while the English walk past and go line up to escape.
Here's how you evacuate everyone at Dunkirk on the first day:
A guy swims into the water and waits for the next guy while floating on the water's surface. The second guy gets into the water and uses his hands to push the feet of the first guy. Then the second guy floats like how the first guy did, and then a third guy enters the water and pushes the feet of the second guy. Repeat this process until the first guy crosses the channel, forming a bridge of humans from Dunkirk to the shores of England. People on the shores of England pull the chain while the people remaining on Dunkirk push the chain. When the final man enters the waters all he does is hold on to the feet of the guy in front of him, and then they get pulled back to England.
I'm available if any nation's military wants to hire me as a strategist.
>Agreed, Americans would never call a retreat a victory
> "we must be very careful not to assign to this deliverance the attributes of a victory. Wars are not won by evacuations."[7]
literally in the end of the movie.
>american education
