Explain this to me.
Explain this to me
Truly the best part of Canada.
Sorry for picking on you France, you have proven that Anglo-Franc relations can go very well.
Everyone seems to hate it though.
Better than español america
So Quebec is better than the US?
Vive le Québec libre
I should have been born there and not LOS.
Who hates Québec other than yanks?
Technically Québec is part of Latin America, prove me wrong.
Al-Sa-Ma region have hated Qc for at least a century
...
As I said, yanks
South west US yes
es-tu québécois?
Non, je suis néo-brunswickois
Thanks for the laugh
crybabies lol
>asking non-french-canadians
What a waste of time
>non french canadians can't consider themselves quebecois
Indeed. They are canadians and want """their""" region to remain canadian.
Of course, that's why the 40% of french canadians voted "no" in that referendum.
What does sovereignty have to do with being Latin America? The Québecois live in the Americas, speak a Latin language, and are Catholic. I don't see how independence from the rest of Canada makes them more or less Latin American.
no they can't
Yes it does. Besides memes nobody consider the states of the USA with more hispanic population as part of Latin América because they aren't a separate country.
Yes they can and that's why they could vote.
Acadia > St. Pierre et Miquelon > Québec > Acadiana
bunch of faggots, wish I didn't share a border with them
Last one was about even because of non-whites and bribes.
Proofs?
Puerto Rico is certainly a part of Latin America despite being part of the USA.
Also, Québec, while part of Canada, has it's own assemblée nationale, French as its only official language, as per the Royal Proclamation of 1763 Québec uses civil law instead of common law like the rest of Canada, Catholicism is official enough tgat the aforementioned assemblée nationale has a crucifix behind the speaker's chair.
It's Latin America, your just angry that les Québecois took your flag, improved it, and made it world famous.
Are they nice to people visiting or would they destroy me at sight?
You're wrong because Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the US which have a "Free State" status while Quebec is just a province.
Go read some books please.
It came out during the Gomery Commission.
>"free state"
And as of Nov 26, 2006 Québec was official recognised as a "nation within a united Canada." The motion was passed in the house of commons 265 to 16
No proofs then.
Nation just means a group of people with something in common. It has nothing to do with sovereignty. Puerto Rico has more sovereignty than Québec.
Congratulations. Quebec is as much of a country as Tuva now!
You're technically correct, but nowadays "Latin America" is more used as a political term than just a linguistic one, so I understand why Québec isn't included.
MUH SOUVIENS
good sirop d'érable though
>Shortly after the Liberal Party came to power in 1993, helmed by Jean Chrétien, the issue of Quebec sovereignty became a national focus. In 1994, the Parti Québécois, led by Jacques Parizeau, came to power in Quebec; not long after, the new provincial government announced it would hold a provincial referendum on the question of Quebec sovereignty, and whether or not Quebec should separate from Canada. Sovereigntists and federalists began to organize themselves for the referendum campaign, raising money and hiring strategists and workers.
>While the federal Liberal government did not lead the referendum campaign against separation, it did play an active role. The federal government contributed millions of dollars for public opinion research and various form of advertising promoting Canadian federalism. While not yet organized into a formal advertising program, these were the beginnings of what would later become known as the Sponsorship Program.
>Ultimately, Quebec sovereignty was narrowly defeated in the 1995 Referendum (50.4 percent voted against sovereignty, while 49.4 percent voted in favour). Immediately following the loss, Mr. Parizeau resigned as Premier of Quebec and leader of the Parti Québécois. Shortly thereafter Lucien Bouchard, formerly the leader of the federal Bloc Québécois, replaced him. Upon becoming Premier, Bouchard pledged to call another referendum on Quebec sovereignty at any time in the future, whenever he felt the “winning conditions” might be present.

>Findings of Fact in the Sponsorship Program
With respect to what actually happened in the Sponsorship Scandal, the Commission made the following findings:
>Mismanagement of the Sponsorship Program
There was insufficient oversight at the very senior levels of the public service, which allowed managers of the Sponsorship Program to circumvent proper contracting procedures and reporting lines;
*There existed a veil of secrecy surrounding the administration of the Sponsorship Program and an absence of transparency in the contracting process; and
*There was a lack of clear objectives, criteria, and guidelines for the Sponsorship Program, which resulted in the sponsorships being used for purposes other than national unity or federal visibility.
Other Irregularities in the Program
*There was clear evidence of political involvement in the administration of the Sponsorship Program;
*Deliberate actions were taken by program managers to avoid compliance with federal legislation and policies, including the Canada Elections Act, the Lobbyists Registration Act, the Access to Information Act, and the Financial Administration Act, in addition to federal contracting policy;
*There was a pattern of activity whereby a public servant in retirement, specifically, Charles Guité, did extensive business with former recipients of Sponsorship Program contracts; and
*There existed a “culture of entitlement” among political officials and bureaucrats involved with the Sponsorship Program, including the receipt of monetary and non-monetary benefits.
lol I respect Canada much more now
all of you
Ni-ni, plus pour longtemps. Marquez mes mots.

A majority voted yes, fa m
The majority of french canadians did, and lost.
So no proofs then.
most yanks have never even heard of Quebec other than when Canadians bring it up. typically to complain about it.
3. La capitale est déménagée à Québec
Merci pour votre considération.
Anglo Canadians are literally seething when you tell them you like Quebec
Non, Pierre-Martin Crognon.
>Thread about Quebec
>Le obsessed Peruvian is there
Return equalization payments
maybe due to Quebec still remaining part of an anglosphere country, I'd like to say we'd receive you with our arms open if you secede but we "Latinamerica" hate each other anyway so not even religion or language can keep us together.
americans have no idea we even exist
anglos think we're literally genociding them though which is just the funniest shit ever considering what they've done
Damn fuckers shoving multiculturalism down our throats.
most of this is actually true, which is surprising for a series of Sup Forums posts
yes, and let's not forget that canada is obviously trying to make sure that no other country really knows we exist as a people
thankfully, occasionally you'll have people like anthony bourdain who come here and drop redpills about quebec nationalism on american national television

Also we keep Westmount.
>a westmounter

the original canadians, anglos are invaders
Not a Westmounter. I just like border gore.
What's wrong with Westmount?
Might as well take the whole island it's on. And any land adjacent to the St. Lawrence river.
>What's wrong with Westmount?
full of anglos jews with a victim complex who live in their own ghetto and find a way to complain despite the fact that they have 2 of the best universities in the entire province, their own hospitals and their own school system entirely
>Constantly threaten to separate if you don't get their way
>Throw a shit fit when called out on it
A-anglos are mean!
>doesn't even mention anything about what i just posted
the anglo tends to do that
Very nice.
Quads wasted on a buttblasted anglo. A shame.
Does anyone like this shithole outside of Sup Forums?
i certainly have no reason to like england
ever since i was a child i thought england looked really fucking depressing and with all the brown "people" living there (aka the native britons lmao) today it's even worse
I live there, born and raised.
It's a great working class, country town. Great during summer with tons of stuff to do and places to visit, cold and dry during winter with sort of stuff to do as well.
If you want to learn french it's probably the best place since it's literally french unilingual.
Jokes on you, I'm a non-Quebecuck franco
that's even worse, you colonized fuck
Stay mad soyboy
