DEVELOPMENTS AUGUST 18 >More gains made in Darayya by Republican Guard, part of SAA 4th Mech. & NDF >1070 Housing gains continue by Republican Guard, NDF and Hezbollah >Tiger Forces, SAA & Hezbollah attempt storming the northern part of the artillery academy >Several FSA-aligned factions took control of al-Rai after a few days of clashes with IS >SDF & YPG continue advances in direction of al-Bab and also some gains south of Manbij >NDF (Assyrians and Arabs mostly) clashing with Kurdish police in Hasaka, SyAF bomb the kurd HQ in Hasaka in reponse.
I'll have to search up some better sources, but basically recuits were given fake passports, sent to Turkey they'd cross into Syria and then Raqqa to Deir er Zoir and into Iraq. Sound similar? That's the backbone of ISISs caliphate in Syria. It's no mistake that they expanded quickly there, they already knew the right people and their infrastructure had been set up long ago.

US is puffing up its chest to make sure the Kurds keep attacking SAA positions with the promise that the USAF will come save them.
For the sake of the planet I hope its a bluff, because if they fire at the SyAF, the SyAF and air defense will fire back, then the US will escalate, then Russia/Iran will escalate and then we have a world war.
Levi Hughes
So.. are you guys getting out of NATO or what?

Interesting, every source in the relevant paragraph dates from no earlier than 2015....
Rather suspicious, considering the US had pulled out of Iraq by then.
Indeed, it's almost like they were trying to justify US actions in Syria by bullshitting about the past....
God damn the SAA sucks at fighting. Clumped together before the first strike, staying in the kill zone and clumping together for a second strike.
Russia could saves itself billions of rubles and just send some instructors and try to unfuck the the SAA. Honestly, what's the point of dropping thousands of bombs if the numbskulls on the ground can't even tie their own laces properly.
Chase Smith
If you think that will cause a ww you are really delusional.
What will happen in that case is SyAf getting btfo of northern syria and crying to russia and iran, wich both will do nothing against usaf.

More likely RuAF will retaliate against Kurds, US can't do anything to stop RuAF from bombing Kurds same way RuAF can't do anything to stop USAF from shooting down SyAF planes. It could easily go with SyAF bombing Kurds, USAF shooting down SyAF jet, RuAF coming in a bombing Kurds instead of SyAF and USAF flying circles around them.
turkey kurds are most secular kurds since kemalist revolution affected them too. syria kurds are much worse. they are arab-tier.

That will happen to this roach otto as well pbly in the near future when he joins the army. Except it will be a pkk ied blowing his ass right back to mongolia. A little more spectacular way to go if u ask me.

Power projection. Bombing Kurds shows the world and their allays that Russia isn't scared of the US.

And the Turks have handed out hundreds of fake Syrian passports to Iraqis so they'd fuck off to Germany. What's your point, and provide links, because your word is not enough to prove anything.
Evan Allen
>More likely RuAF will retaliate against Kurds
Will never happen. The Russians have zero reason to go after the Kurds, and if they still do, they will just fuel the fires of a full-blown no-fly-zone. And that will suck much more than Assad being sad.
Tyler Reed
FUCKING TOP KEK2203

They will for sure if Hillary is President.
Brayden Adams
Russians have an interest in protecting Assad. They intervened to show to the world that they stand by their allays. So long as its YPG vs SAA they will stay out. If USAF becomes involved they will need to get involved to. If nothing more than just to prove that they are not afraid of US. Plus they said it like a dozen times that a unilaterally imposed NFZ by US will be ignored.
Xavier Campbell

If they are wise they should be.
The usaf only foot in the door there are the kurds. If they get messed with it will not be a nice sight for the ancient russian airfleet with their relatively dumb tech.
Russia will never risk open aerial warfare with the amrricans for the kurd lands. Putin is a madman but he isnt stupid last I checked.
*sips my tea* are you scared of drawing your countries attention towards you, hence k*rds and not kurds?
Elijah Clark
They can try. Then another few thousand US soldiers will die in another desert shithole despite all claims there would be no "boots on the ground".
Come to think of it, by US standards, Pearl Harbour was a targeted "limited military action" with no "boots on the ground", and definitely not a cause for war....
Eli Evans
Here's the thing.
Even if we assume Putin does care, he's assuming the Americans won't shoot his planes down.
Especially once Hillary is in office, that's a bad assumption to make.
Eli Sanders

Logan Morris
This is as correct as saying kurds are donkey fucking marxist mountain niggers.
Dominic Myers
Well meme'd On*r. Can't wait for schools to open so that you can leave this general alone.
Gabriel Smith
Here's the thing, you assume that Americans CAN shoot more Russian planes down than vice versa.
...and that the US military won't remove Hillary if she drags them towards nuclear war.
Ayden Bailey
There won't be a try, it will be a will. The Russian Syria garrison cannot stand up to the USA, it has no secure supply line and is too small.
Isaiah Perry
>Russians have an interest in protecting Assad.
No, they don't, really. They have an interest in keeping the war grinding on, and the easiest way to do this is having Assad at the wheel. That's pretty much the furthest it goes.
And Russia's allies are generally not people who need (or really want) Russia to stand by them, for one reason or another.
Isaiah Morris
>'US troops withdrew from al-Hasakah' kek. trusty ally of kurds is running away.
Isaiah Ross
There won't be a fucking coup in the US, be realistic.
Besides, the US Military is full of psychos who would support Hillary.

Yes it was. He was very active and contributed a lot. There is no one who was here in those days who does not know about him. Otto is a sweet summer child's /sg/ phenomenon in comparison and with regard to his immanent service I am sure he will be able to suck some dick for a desk job and will be just fine.
Nicholas Jackson
>They have an interest in keeping the war grinding on That is _your_ assumption, nothing more.
Not a coup, just an unfortunate "accident" like JFK or Lincolin had. Or so many other lesser politicians.... then the next puppet er... president, will see the light.
Luis Evans
US will never risk an escalation with Russia. For fuck sake they weren't willing to risk an escalation with Assad so they required every member of NSyA to sign that they wouldn't fight SAA. The whole war has been US drawing red lines in sand and than taking one step back. WH was willing to come into a conflict with Turkey because of their refusal to escalate against Assad what makes you think they will back the Kurds. Obama destroyed the US Turkish alliance in order to avoid engagement with SAA do you think that he will honor US Kurd alliance?
Ali Naddaf, a reporter saying that we need a kurd holocaust.
Matthew Campbell
They can. Russian propaganda about their amazing airforce is just that. They have a few modern planes that could stand up to the USAF, most of which are not in Syria, and a much of old stuff that can't. They're doubly unlucky in that it's not just F16s and F18s against them, there's also F22s which the Russians don't have an answer to ATM, and even the upcoming PAK-FA doesn't have stealth tech.
The US military is not despotic, they would never coup Hillary.
Easton Butler
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FUCKING S*UDI ANIMALS GET THE FUCK OUT OF YEMEN

Jackson Parker
>"Who'll be my bacha bazi now? I'm so frustrated!"

>Russian propaganda about their amazing airforce is just that. And US propaganda about the USAF is just that, too. Stealth is overrated in its utility, and stealth planes can be detected by networked systems.
Even an attempt can make them realise they've pissed off their masters.
Ever heard of the "businessmen's plot"?
James Lopez
Those are good. Luckily, stealth bombers and cruise missiles exist, and the USAF has plenty of planes.
Nathan Moore
Once Hillary is in office. A concentrated Russian involvement backing a strong SAA response with RG units from Damascus could easily take Qamislo and Hasakah by then. The Kurds have never won a battle in 1 on 1. All their advances were under the cover of ether USAF or RuAF and against opponents that had much more important fronts.
Jaxson Miller
Dude broke the relationship with Turkey and Saudis in order to not get involved. His only concern is his legacy. Obama wont do shit.
Gavin Watson
This is completely correct. There is no other choice for the us now. All their other pet projects failed.
If the US drops the SDF now and let them get bombed by asssad they lose all credibity in the ME and their influence will be less than zero in the region.
Any dumbfuck understands that this is not an option for US foreign policy.
