Alright anons, buckle up. Trump IS playing 4D chess and I'm about to explain it to you.
As you know by now, Trump has fired Paul "Stay-on-Message" Manafort. As you also know by now, Trump has been tanking in the polls, although he maintains a staunch base of support - as evinced by his killer rallies.
So who has Trump taken on to head his campaign? Steve Bannon, CEO of Breitbart and Roger Ailes, former CEO of Fox. This is a confusing move to a lot of mainstream Republicans because it seems to signal that Trump has no interest in "the pivot" which - according to Paul Ryan types, is the only way Trump can win. So why, you might be thinking, is Trump hiring an alt-right media star given to calling Republican officials "fucking cunts"?
Because even if Trump can't win a general election with his base, he can monetize it. If Trump sticks to his guns, continues to blast Crooked Hillary, illegal immigrants, Muslims, etc. he will retain their loyalty - YOUR loyalty - after he loses.
At this point, Trump unveils TRUMP MEDIA. Why do you think he's been attacking the media at every rally? Why has he been taking on Sacred Cow Fox News? To create a demand for a new media outlet for the nationalist right. He is using the general election to corner a market - hence his alliance with Bannon and Ailes. The three of them together are hoping to turn a massive profit.
Now, sure, you got played. But this isn't a de facto loss for the Right. This could be the stepping stone necessary for a revitalization of nationalist politics and for an ideological takeover of the Republican party - something that will obviously take more time than one election cycle. Or it could go the way of Trump Steaks and Trump will declare bankruptcy, pocket the money, and vanish.
These are the possibilities, so what do you think Sup Forums? Are you prepared for TRUMP MEDIA? Do you think sacrificing the 2016 election was worth it? Let's discuss!
