Batiatus did nothing wrong MAYBE killing Spartacus' wife but other than that

It's the only thing my father has ever watched on Netflix for some reason.

>batiatus
>villain
Words fall from OP's mouth like shit from arse.

>100% loyal to batiatus
>100% loyal to glaber
>killed for being untrustworthy
has there ever been a more sympathetic character than ashur?

Why did he even kill her. I honestly can't remember

>Why is this show so underrated?
Its not "American" therefore shit.
That said it did amazing in the rest of the world and I enjoyed it a lot.

Third season is kind of shit, but the rest are awesome

the third season has its moments
the burning down the arena episode and last few were pretty good
all the neveah shit dragged it down though

> It's a "we can't do this with an army, but a small band could pull it off" episode

I mean, I know this happens with every tv show ; I just wish they stopped trying to come up with bullshit reasons to make manageable-scope action scenes sound like the "the logical option"

Cause it would have fucked with Spartacus concentration and performance, and killing her would have made him more vicious and angry thus better performances in the arena which it did

Also because based Batiatus was a prick

its fucking garbage mate thats why

Is that your interpretation? Mine was he killed her because the first second he got a chance, he'd have made a break with her and batty knew the $$$ sparty would bring

Is it underrated? Seems like near everyone who's watched it likes it, it's just not super well known in the US.

spartacus was planning to escape with his wife.
that is why he asked to be allowed to wear that armor, and he drugged doctore (the one man that could stop him at that time) and hid a dagger in his vambrace to hold batiatus hostage with.

batiatus killed her, because without his wife. he no longer would have a reason to leave and keep making batiatus money

Haven't seen anything after the first one, is it worth checking on?

Sure, the prequel is comfy AF, and the last season is definitely worth it (which makes the weaker third season kind of necessary to watch)

First 2 seasons were godly. They completely dropped after that and I just couldn't get into the replacement for Andy Whitfield.

Saxa was best girl

Special forces operations?

Doctore was probably one of my favorites. Pure honor.

Season 1 and also Gods of the arena, the 6 episoded prequel, are some of my favourite TV ever. However going onto season 2 can be abit hard for me since it ditches the usual set up I liked, the ludus, the politics, scheming, slaves getting crushed beneath them etc for a more open war conflict with the small budget which doesn't come across that great at times, also the fact that Andy died so it was hard getting used to a new spartacus (which he did come into his own fully in season 3) and the new inferior Naevia actress.

Still great tv, but s2 and 3 are nowhere near as glorious as season 1 in my opinion. Once you get to about episode 4 of season 1 (The Pits?) it fully evolves into a show of awesomeness. First few eps can be cringe though i'll admit.

The actor was also in dead space and plays the same honor based type character

How is it underrated? It got very high scores and everyone I know that watched it beyond ep 4 loved it. Best season is gods of the arena, best episode is a tie between the s01 finale and series finale. Both were cathartic as fuck and satisfying to watch. Some of the best TV ever.

ONCE AGAIN THE GODS SPREAD CHEEKS

It's literally Rome Dudebro edition

The finale was surprisingly good for a show about half naked dudes fighting, it made me tear up a few times.

It's literally way better

I dont remember much about season 3 but ill always remember when he catches crassus blade and kills him

He didn't kill Crassus. The fight ended in a stalemate until one of the other men spears Sparty in the back several times.

Me too man.

I miss Spartacus threads

>tfw he was a free man

gannicus final scene is definitely the best

The first season was great. After that it's all downhill.

He probably liked all the cocks.

Nah. Spartacus dies and Crassus survives. One of the rare times where the bad guys/antagonists wins in a tv show.

>bad guy
With exception of nailing everybody to a cross he was pretty OK.

the show was good but the special effects were completely trash, it was clear that lacked a decent budget

season 1 was awesome tho, amazing actor performing as spartacus

I really liked Spartacus. Hot, skimpily clad chicks, sex scenes, great fights. A real guilty pleasure of mine.

Crassus wasn't a bad guy.
Being the antagonist doesn't mean "bad guy".

Oh, I dunno. For me the "special effects" of that show were their own kind of artform. They had a very distinct, individual style.

Post yfw this happened.

Meh, they had clearly abused the slow motion effect in combat and the green screen was too obvious and unrealistic when filming outside, but I still rate this show with a solid 7,5-8/10 and I watched a LOT of tv

...

Original Naevia is better.

disgusting germanic barbarian

"no."

Agron please.
