Is this finely the end of SakimiChan and all the leaches of the world?

Isn't the usual way to get around this stuff on various sites to charge for the service of creation rather than the object itself?

Wait what does this mean for all the porn games based on copyrighted properties?
That Dune game is better than it has any right to be, I'd be heartbroken if it got cancelled just when it was getting started

Not sure how they will handle that BS. It is an obvious work around but perhaps they will stop you from advertising images of non original material?

parody is fair game

Nintendo went around and forced artists to delete their Peach/Zelda porn though

You could probably get around it by saying "this is the type of service you could recieve" as opposed to "you will recieve an object like this."

Patreon gets a cut of all donations. It's in their interest to facilitate any loophole that doesn't get them into hot water.

Legally speaking yes. But patreon can ban parody if they like.

Wait, the screenshots of paul's mother and the bene gesserit weren't just vaporware??

>paying for porn

Just trust me on this one - eventually an artist will produce stuff with your heinous fetish, and he will do it for free and without ever having talked to you. Because it's his fetish as well. You just have to be patient for a year or few.

>have obscure fetish
>no one aside from a single deviantautist with MS Paint draws it, or it's all furshit with donut steels that have god awful designs

>When you find an artist that shares one of your fetishes

>2008

They were probably afraid of being sued by Disney or by other copyright holders.

Just be patient. A simple example - back in circa 2006/07 foot fetish art with Sup Forums stuff basically didn't exist and the fetish itself was an extreme fringe. However, as the decadent and pampered western kids grew into their teens and beyond many artists appeared who shared the kink and started to produce stuff, not only making the fetish a mainstream thing but vanilla as fuck. Like many older users I find myself in a humorous situation in which my perversions of yesteryear and shameful urges are unremarkable. These new kids are batshit insane and went so far out that it's rather scary. It won't end well, but rest assured that your fetish will also get its time in the spotlight.

Verily.

>2008

Was almost 9 years ago. Nine fucking years brah.

Still in development.
There's also a couple Fremen girls and a Sardaukar.
They're aiming to finish by January.

how new is this?

>in which my perversions of yesteryear and shameful urges are unremarkable

You mean loli?

No one is going to draw my gore fetish if they didn't start off drawing it.

Seems like it'd be difficult to enforce.

If an artist's patreon says something as ambiguous as "I'm making art!" then how will the Patreon big'ns say "well, you made this picture of Princess Peach while you were being paid!" when the artist can just say "oh I did that in my free time. And it's on my personal blog, not on patreon, so, nyeh."

Unless I just don't understand something, of course.

Wasn't there a Pokemon parody that got shut down recently?

I never got to try it...

The policy only applies to stuff distributed through Patreon. You can still do whatever the fuck you want on your tumblr or whatever.

Oh no, fair use already allows for porn spoofs of popular films, whatever will we do when they come for our smut and fanfiction that are clearly fair use, regardless of whether money exchanged hands?

End of story. Unless you are using patreon to have someone to pirate Game of Thrones for you or make counterfiet MTG cards, it's fair use. Unless you are tracing someone else's work, it's fair use.

People just get scared of big corporations because these cases take a long time to dismiss, and are usually dismissed, but during that time you have to pay legal fees and the big corporation knows it.

This TOS change is just a way for patreon to protect themselves. I doubt they'd be going after all the bandcamp faggots who use sampling (aka copyrighted music which you are using without permission) or all the LPers who use a copyrighted video game to make money (also fair use).

It wasn't a "Parody", it was a fan game that could only be played using pirated software. Learn the difference.

Companies that use certain distribution platforms (like a Gameboy, or Xbox, or PS4 or whatever) really don't like it when their software is used on another platform (like a PC).

Unlike a usual mod on a PC game, a modded Pokemon game is altered using techniques that Nintendo themselves explicitly consider either cheating or pirating.

Is it just? Not really, and why you shouldn't support companies that create artificial monopolies like this. But they're within their legal right.

A drawing, however, has absolutely nothing to do with this argument.

Hopefully it means the control of Draetini Horsecock pics.
