Who is the most entitled, privileged Disney princess?
Who is the most entitled, privileged Disney princess?
Other urls found in this thread:
Kuzco, obviously.
This.
Let's examine the finalists:
Aurora, who just upon learning she is a princess, cries over how she cannot a man she just met. But then everything turns out peachy.
Ariel, who is the princess of two different kingdoms, constantly sought more, & got a fancy new vagina.
Jasmine, who never knew the travesties of reality, acts like she knows everything, has an I'm-better-than-thou attitude, & like Aurora, cries when she has to marry for her job.
Anna, who is literally retarded, complains about being lonely in a castle of staff & loving parents, offers no assets nor skills to better herself & her kingdom, only thinks about herself on the most important day of her sister's life, entrusts a stranger with everything when she goes on an ill-prepared adventure, & doesn't learn shit from her life-changing adventure.
It's Anna. Anna's the winner, but at least the rest are attractive & actually are popular.
Dude, Jasmine literally had no idea that goods needed to be paid for. Jasmine is by far the worst.
Yes.
Belle. She doesn't work a day in her life and spends all day reading shitty romance novels while her sick and somewhat mentally ill father slaves away being the sole breadwinner for the family, all the while Belle sits around being a judgmental cunt to everyone in her village because they're poor and have to work and complains about wanting to live life like one of her fantasy novels.
It's Belle. Belle is the most spoiled princess.
She's also a fucking dumbass for going into the west wing even though beast, her captor, told her specifically not to go there. Then after beast rightfully tells her to GTFO she runs out into the woods by herself and nearly gets eaten by wolves. Also after she was set free, she revealed the beast to her entire village with her enchanted mirror, putting his life in danger. She's an airhead but everyone idolizes her because muh books.
Who is the LEAST entitled and privileged? Mulan? probably Tiana?
She was sheltered but not entitled
It's Tiana she grew up in poverty while Mulan had a supportive family nice house and didn't have to work.
Cinderella had the hardest life of all. No living family, no friends (hallucinating that mice can talk doesn't count), and a literal slave. Tiana comes to a close second, but she at least had love of family and some friends.
Mulan is a war hero who fought alongside men and saved her entire country, that is worth something at least.
Fuck off shipperfag. She's not even a Disney princess, she's a princess of heart. Go fap to your yaoi doujins somewhere else.
wait a second... something isn't right in that pic...
How is Mulan a princess? She didn't marry a prince.
Being a Disney princess is different than being an actual princess. Pocahontas is a Disney princess despite not being an actual princess as well. They also considered making Tinkerbell a Disney princess at one point.
I remember Elsa couldn't leave or really socialize, was Anna bound by the same rules? Surely she should have been allowed far more freedom, I haven't watched the movie in years so I don't remember otherwise
Elsa and Anna were both prisoners in their castle. But Anna was able to run freely while Elsa was confined to her bedroom because of her powers.
Pocahontas is TECHNICALLY a princess since her father is chief. Mulan saved China and then just went home.
IRL Pocahontas wasn't a princess and in-movie it is never specified that she is a princess, so I go with the interpretation that she isn't so I can pretend that Disney gave fuck all about historical accuracy.
What's even the point of the rest of the thread now? You just beat the thread.
yet again, fpbp
Does that make vanelope a disney princess even though shes president.
Jasmine became streetwise in the TV Cartoon. She gets a pass.
Godwin's law
No because she's not part of the Disney princess franchise. The only actual official Disney princesses are on princess.disney.com
Even if the character is a princess, or a queen, she isn't a Disney Princess if she's not on the princess franchise.
That actually excludes both Anna and Elsa, contrary to popular belief.
>Aurora, who just upon learning she is a princess, cries over how she cannot a man she just met
Eh, I'd cut her some slack. She'd only just turned sixteen before finding out her whole life was a lie.
Also considering she has never met another person aside from her parents, much less someone her age, and much less a male, it's understandable that she would be upset. Plus she went from a peaceful, ordinary, carefree life in the woods to suddenly having the responsibility of running an entire kingdom on her shoulders. Her fairy godmothers did nothing to emotionally prepare her for that, even though they had to keep her ignorant in order to protect her.
In a way it also shows her humility because she wasn't at all interested in being a wealthy, pampered princess. She wanted to keep dancing barefoot in her log cabin in the forest. Ultimately she still accepted her responsibility even though she didn't want to, and sure she did get the guy she wanted in the end, but they were already arranged to be married anyway, so she technically "didn't" have a choice.
Elsa and Anna are excluded because they carry the "Frozen" franchise on their own
Else carries the franchise on her own. Anna is just happy to be there.
>Else
Even misspelled, you know who I'm referring to. She's the most recognized cartoon worldwide right now next to maybe the minions. Anna barely comes up in conversations relating to Frozen, and the only song anyone cares about is Let It Go, which has fuck all to do with Anna Then we have Kristoff, Hans, Olaf- wait, who again?
Frozen 2 will focus primarily if not entirely on Elsa* if Disney have any brains at all.
That's because Frozen is so insanely popular they don't want to lower Elsa to being a mere "Disney Princess". She's bigger than the whole Princess franchise all by herself.
If Anna had been free to come and go as she pleased that would've raised awkward questions about the heir to the throne. "If they don't need to hide Anna away and conceal her complete stupidity from us, something even worse must be wrong with Elsa!"
Aurora wasn't even raised as a princess. She lived in a fucking cottage and did real housework and shit. Going back to the castle was more like a sentence because she didn't want an arranged marriage.
>She was sheltered but not entitled
She was most certainly entitled. Her one job for a life of luxury is to take the dick for her people so they don't starve, dehydrate or go to war
yeah I get it gender politics sucked in the whenever the fuck this took place but she was a pampered spoiled layabout who wasn't willing to take her responsibility as royalty serious
>Cinderella had the hardest life of all.
Counterpoint. She never had to fight this fucking guy. Im not saying she had an easy life but she didn't witness villages burned to the ground and women and children slaughtered, and yes let's be blunt, rape was no doubt on the menu.
Counter to your counterpoint. Mulan didn't have to slave away for this thing every second of her life.
At the very least, Mulan got to choose for herself to live a dangerous life. And she still had the support of family at home, and in the army she eventually earned a group of loyal lifelong friends. Cinderella is an orphan and a slave to her own stepmother and spawn, in her own house, without one friend in the world.
Jasmine was terrible. Despite her father finding dozens of suitable husbands for her she runs away and falls for the first bum piece of shit she runs into. The movie would have been better if Jafar just gave her the snake staff up the ass for years on end.
Jennifer Lee & Kristen Bell will probably demand Anna gets the limelight again.
>Belle. She doesn't work a day in her life and spends all day reading shitty romance novels while her sick and somewhat mentally ill father slaves away being the sole breadwinner for the family, all the while Belle sits around being a judgmental cunt to everyone in her village because they're poor and have to work and complains about wanting to live life like one of her fantasy novels.
>average Sup Forums poster in the past
Jasmine, if we count the legit Disney Princesses
Anna, if we just look at Disney heroines
Anna isn't an official Disney Princess though. She's just a princess in a Disney movie.
>She doesn't work a day in her life and spends all day reading shitty romance novels
We see her doing farm work and tending to the animals. Her dad is a crazy inventor, she must have worked a lot around the house and kept the household running, they had no servants and actually the household only had them 2 so they've had to do everything
Shit bait
Disney Princess is a cashcow franchise. Being an official Disney Princess has nothing to do with whether or not a heroine is called a "princess" in their movie, it's all about whether Disney decides to include that girl to the Princess™ lineup because they think they'll sell merch or not.
Currently there are 11 official Disney Princesses:
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Ariel
Jasmine
Belle
Pocahontas
Mulan
Tiana
Rapunzel
Merida
and that's it. Everyone else is just a princess in a Disney movie, like Eilonwy from the Black Cauldron, Kida from Atlantis or Anna & Elsa from Frozen, but they're not official Disney Princesses.
Elsa and Anna are Disney Princesses in all but name only. In fact, the Frozen LEGO sets actually bear the Disney Princess logo on the packaging. As this guy: said, Frozen is profitable enough to be on its own for now, but it's only a matter of time before they get added officially.
Wouldn't get my hopes up about those others, though.
They're not Disney Princesses though. They're not included in the official lineup, end of story.
I agree that they were clearly created with the intention to include them into the lineup at some point, and they're in some ways treated like official or at least honorary princesses already, like having face character meet & greets in the princess hall next to legit Princesses etc - but it doesn't really matter.
They're currently not in the official lineup, so if you talk of Disney Princesses, they're not included.
It's Ariel.
She even has a song about it stating how she wants more despite her life of royalty.
Nah, Ariel makes simple requests out of curiosity about a world she barely knows but she's costantly held back because "MUH SICRIT KINGDUM, MUH FISH"
She only wants to be in that world in the first place because she wants to get dicked.
>She keept smiling even though her life was a prison
Too pure for this world
The princess brand is fucking shite, you can't even post about classic Disney anymore because of it.
That was after she saved the prince. She wanted to see the human world out of curiosity, the prince just became a bonus later on.
Anna is all but official. She's been lumped with other Disney Princesses.
So, who's worse: Jasmine or Anna?
Jasmine at least tried to fix her problem by leaving a situation that made her unhappy. Granted, she was a clueless moron but she still made an effort. Anna just kinda whined a lot.
So, we've got a bottom 3: Mulan, Cinderella, Tiana. Now we've got to figure out the order
Did ANY of you people notice hitler in the picture?
Its all about the content though. Belle is more of a tumblrina.
Yeah but what does that have to do with OP's question? Should we let every random edit distract from discussion?
...
I was gonna say Jasmine, but damn, dude, you right.
What's there to discuss? He did nothing wrong.
>He doesn't like Princess Adolf
Mulan isn't a princess.
From least to most, out of the 3:
Tiana
Cinderella
Mulan
