It's funny because begging was actually prohibited until 1981. By that time, the problem was no more and there was no need anymore for that law. Agreed but i rather have a complete ban than no restriction whatsoever. This law can only have good results as the Gypsies will move on and beg in another country, Breaking into property is not enough shekels so the majority will go somewhere where begging is possible.

i know a lot of romanian gypsies have left. idk about ours
but here gypsies don't get much in terms of handouts. there were deff more begging (and harassing people) when i was growing up (maybe 5-6 years ago) than there are today.. it's perfectly plausible the worse of them have simply left

No i personally would like to have a ban on Gypsi beggars but Sweden don't have seperate laws so it is not possible to do so. A long term solution would be to deport them to some far away place where they can live for themselves without harrassing us. Has happend to me aswell i just stare at them and have a smug face thinking "really" haha.

Yup most of them are Romanian citizen gypsies. There are some Bulgarian Gypsies aswell but they are not as common as Romanian Gypsies. And as you said i think most of your bad ones moved here or elsewhere.

I read that aswell but as with all other matters Löfvéns opinion is often ignored by the other ministers. We might see this beeing pushed anyway just like the Asylum restrictions we have implemented. Would love to see that.
