From Russia With Love
Lotte Lenya

Goldeneye is objectively the best james bond movie
>best bond
>best bond villain
>best bond chase
>best famke janssen

I agree entirely.
>best girl(s)

/thread

normy: casino royale (2006)
fedora: goldfinger
patrician: goldeneye

Licence to Kill

The Rock

The Kingsman is my favorite James Bond movie desu. Did everything better. Only thing keeping it from being a 10/10 was the cringy church scene

>patrician: goldeneye

more like muh 90's nostalgia and a shitty Nintendo videogame

he gave her a nice honeymoooon

...

Moonraker
Why? Because is best James Bond, best girls, best villains and is in the space.

>is in the space
That's your only life line. Jaws was cool but I literally laughed at the end when he falls in love.

Even villains need love user.

from russia with love

Reminder that the girl who loves jaws does NOT have braces

Mandela effect?

YOWSERZ

Goldeneye and Casino Royale

But I'm a 90s baby

That's real cool man.

Can I suck your limp penis?

Goldfinger
I'm Swiss

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Best score
Best visuals
Best women
Best Bond

I've seen them all countless times, grew up watching the marathons every year. With that said... the answer is Goldeneye followed by Casino Royale. Funny how the 2 best bond movies of all time are both reboots directed by the same man.

Fun thing I learned:

There was a secret space program (likely for surveillance) that was completely scrapped and thrown out, all except for two weird looking space suits labeled simply "007" and "006"

wew lad, you're a true lad

ARM YOURSELF BECAUSE NO-ONE ELSE HERE WILL SAVE YOU

The Living Daylights
Best bond, best everything

and the best theme
youtube.com/watch?v=aXM4eIoPZUU

Naw. View to a Kill is the best one but a-ha's is second for sure.

Super good 30 min action sequence at the end, rest of it is meh.

...

Actually Casino Royale at the top here

Naa goldeneye was a fucking hit when it came out.. theres a reason they made a game about it

Either From Russia with Love because it's actually a very solid and entertaining espionage movie that probably would still be considered a great film even if the main character wasn't Bond.

Or On Her Majesty's Secret Service for being the most emotionally resonant Bond movie with Lazenby being perfect for a more vulnerable and sensitive Bond that Connery would've looked laughable trying to pull off. The action scenes are fantastic for the time too.

You have to be 18 to post on this site you know

Diamonds Are Forever

Connery: Thunderball
Moore: For Your Eyes Only
Dalton: Can't pick, both are about the same
Brosnan: Goldeneye
Craig: Quantum of Solace

I stay hard

this.

One of my favorites as well I just love the opening beach fight and his remark, this never happend to the other guy

the theme is also GOAT but my favorite bond theme is probably You only live twice

The Patrician's choice

>For Your Eyes Only over The Spy Who Loved Me

There's nothing bad about FYEO but it's ultimately so forgettable. They went too far in trying to dial down the camp after Moonraker that there's really nothing remarkable about the movie. The only thing I can tell you about the bad guy in it is that he's played by the bad guy in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Scratch that, it does have what is Moore's most coldblooded kill in it so it is memorable in that regard, I guess.

do tell why user

>goldeneye was the first bond film I saw as a kid so that makes it the best

>the contrarian's choice
ftfy

Skyfall
Personal reasons

You wanted to see Judi Dench die?

it's fun and i like Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd. Then again I probably need to marathon this series soon, as it's been a while and I was young when I watched most of them.

Woody Allen basically disowned that movie.

Problem?

Colonel Sun

That's a shame because he was the best thing about it
youtube.com/watch?v=8lL7PEKUxPA

It's the one where teenage athlete lusts for Moore's cock

Generally, I like more grounded Bonds better than the "classics" and I didn't find Barbara Bach all that hot.

among the henchmen they do stand out I'll give you that

I was just wondering since it's usually considered the worst Connery bond entry

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Best Story, Best Score, Best Direction, Best Bond Girl, Best Bond Villain. Best fucking ending. And Best Fucking Bond. Not even kidding. Lazenby was a mad man who carried a live gun around with him on set. Was doing coke and getting wrecked at every opportunity. He fucked his way through the set, pissing off Diana Rigg and every other faggot in the process. He then grew a massive fucking beard and told the producers to take their 3 pictures deal and shove it up their ass. Connery was just a massive prick and Moore was too nice to play Bond. Dalton is a gay stage actor and Brosnan is a cheesy day time tv actor. Craig is a giant potato faced cunt. Only Lazenby was ever good as Bond. All the Bond movies suck apart from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. There.

>worst Bond entry

That's where Never Say Never Again comes in handy

I sat down and watched Licence to Kill the other day, had never watched either of the Dalton movies. I was surprised, its actually really good. They changed up the formula considerably, and it feels more like a revenge movie than a standard Bond movie, Bond is a lot meaner and more violent in it as well. They also made the bad guy a Noriega like central american drug lord, so it actually feels a fair bit more believable than your standard Bond villain which can get a bit far fetched at times. The set up is that on Felix Lighter's wedding day he and Bond help capture the bad guy who is then able to escape by bribing corrupt DEA and USCG officers. He then proceeds to have his goons rape and kill Felix's new wife, and feeds Felix to a shark (though makes sure he survives after his legs are eaten). Bond is convinced that the Americans are incapable of recapturing him so he takes a leave from MI6 to do it himself, along with some unofficial help from Q and an ex army pilot for a bond girl.

Definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it.

yeah but that one is not considered an offical Bond and is never counted or included so I sort of gave it a pass

I thought they executed that well
>Jaws is working for a dude who says he wants to create a master race
>is only including perfect looking people in his plan
>Jaws looks at himself and his fugly gf
>WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOOR

Sorry but Licence to Kill is like a watered down Lethal Weapon style late 80s movie, but done badly and with a really wooden actor playing Bond.

Licence to Kill is a great concept with just an alright execution. The whole thing feels looks and feels really cheap like a TV-movie.

You didn't mention the best part about that movie, Telly Savalas as blofeld.

also, fucking rip

Diamonds are Forever, because nobody else likes how stupid and corny it is.

Casino Royale is decent but not perfect.

>best theme
>anything other than THUNDERBAAAAAAAL
youtube.com/watch?v=Ia6-5gC5ArM
shame the movie itself is such a big step down after goldfinger though

>nobody else likes how stupid and corny it is.
Because it is stupid and corny.

I don't know what people have against full camp.

Best udnerwater scene

I love the theme for this, and jaws was cool but overall the movie itself is pretty meh. I don't really like the Moore movies all that much in general though.

Not quite, but Tom Jones sure can belt out a tune. The movie itself is a bit of a let down, but its certainly not without merit and is one of the better Bond movies.

yeah but the underwater battles are impressive even by today's standards

>Merry Christmas, 007.

Guy was just suave and smooth as fuck. You can definitely see where they got the idea for Lex Luthor for the DC Animated Universe.

I actually enjoy the big Underwater battle at the end. It's brutal as fuck for the time.

The Spy who loved me is and always was a bit silly, but watchable. Roger Moore's flared trousers are a problem though.

oh man

I need to watch this now

This shit isn't even up for debate. Duran Duran made the best theme of all time.

youtube.com/watch?v=Lrp0wJsXNEA

...

Nearly every single Roger Moore entry was just as campy, and people gave it a pass.

Plus, seeing Sean Connery talk down to women is always a blast

So what Bond films do you consider the worst?

A view to a kill
Die another day
Quantum of solace (not bad per se but the editing is atrocious)
Spectre? (also not bad, shot very competently but so boring)

My personal favourites are probably Goldeneye, Casino Royale and Live and Let Die. Goldeneye because muh 90s nostalgia, but also that was a good plot, solid villain. Casino Royale was also a good plot, muh edgy anti-hero, but mainly the last two Brosnan ones SUCKED. Tomorrow Never Dies was passable (not great by any means), but the last two were absolute shit, so at the time Casino Royale was a great reboot. Live and Let Die I liked as a kid. So probably some nostalgia, but good story, good villain (Baron Samedi, voodoo shit, eery laughing on train), I thought Solitaire was hot as fuck. Plus blacks are portrayed hilariously at the start. Pimpmobile and everything

goldfinger

the soundtrack

Brosnan is underrated. He had the perfect balance of suave, keks and physicality.

Any of the Craig ones. They're just bland and don't feel Bond. They feel like every other bland action movie.

That was pretty funny I don't know how I missed it.

I agree

it's a shame he got some bad scripts with his films

I actually liked Spectre. View to a Kill is pretty bad tho, agreed. And so is Never Say Never Again, tho that's technically not a Broccoli produced film

Without QUESTION The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day are the worst.

Worst? Easy. A View to a Kill, Die Another Day, Octopussy, Never Say Never Again. Quantum is patchy but has some great stuff in it. Spectre is bloated and stupid but not terrible.

>the world is not enough

dunno why but one of the shots from the climax when he jumps into the water for the submarine really stuck with me

>I actually liked Spectre
I liked the first 10 minutes of it, but then they're never able to do anything as good as the opening.

i liked tomorrow never dies because the villain was unique in the way he wanted to bring about ww3 by manipulating the media

IT WAS ME JAMES

my dad loves that movie because he hates Rupert Murdoch.

Goldeneye because I want Famke Janssen to crush me between her thighs

Nothing at all wrong with Live and Let Die. Moore was pretty good in this one. Great voodoo vibe and Jane Seymour was hot as fuck.

But then you would be dead.

Reboot bond is beyond pleb

Die Another Day is an abomination, just The World is Not Enough is watchable I think.

Live and Let Die has a great theme

although the way he dispaches the villain is laughable

also Whisper is the best henchman

i also kinda liked it because it goes to southeast asia which is a place you rarely see outside of vietnam movies
