Out of curiosity, can you name any specific examples of drugs that require you to know your biological sex? All I can think are hormonal stuff and you're already taking the hormone therapy for the opposite sex if you're transitioning.

It's not really just hormonal stuff, but more of a concern on dose. Since men and women metabolize medicine very differently. The recommended dose of Ambien had to be cut in half for women because too much of it was still lingering in their bloodstream, for instance.
Not to mention that estrogen in general really fucks with how the liver breaks down any drugs, and it fluctuates depending on if they're menstruating. I remember the CDC saying that women need 13 to 17% higher doses of sedatives to be put under.
And men have less bleed potential than women, which messes with stuff like heart medication.
Really, anything to do with prescribing medicine is a massive balancing act with a fuckload of numbers and variables. Sex isn't the only thing, but goddamn if it isn't one of the biggest.

No one is talking about skeletons man.
Besides the majority cases aren't that "significantly different". The most male and the most female skeletons will be very different, but in the end, evaluating sex by skeleton alone is still considered guesswork where you're taking in all the variables and possibilities and coming up with an educated guess (For example, men generally have thinner hips, but there are females with equally thin hips as well, so you would have to take that into account when you also look at their brow and shoulders and etc and just tally it up to what's most likely).
