I'm Canadian and I'm going on a trip to Cuba next month. I went there quite a few times so far but never really used my cell phone. Since I'm going there for a longer time I'd really love to be able to use my mobile internet.
There's pretty cool daily options for roaming nowadays with Rogers, Bell & Koodo (I use Koodo). You pay 5 or 10$ per day and you can use your monthly data as usual.
BUT I heard and read that Cuba cell companies will charge me to use their towers and will send the fees to my provider and I will end up pay my roaming + the cuban tower usage. I guess this is pretty shitty expensive since mobile internet is so shitty in Cuba. (Even in Havana, there's internet parks and a few lucky ones have home internet but it's quite rare).
Any experiences, tips or opinions on the subject?
Thanks!

It's nice if you want to see a dilapidated commie shithole frozen in 1965.

Why not call your fucking carrier and ask them

I'm not afraid of my carrier but more about Cuba's fees side of things. Maybe my carrier would know though yeah

Just go to Cuba and buy a SIM card and put it in your phone. I guarantee data will be cheaper.
