Should school uniforms be mandatory?

Does Sup Forums support school uniforms?
I do, because I think the kids will stop dressing and acting like special snowflakes. And they will understand that you don't need trendy clothes to be 'cool'

Absolutely, and I also believe that families that can provide some degree of proof of financial hardship should be able to get a set of uniforms purchased for them.

If there's no school dress code, kids wear ridiculous shit that causes issues. If there's a strict dress code, kids will find ways around it and look like shit. If there's an enforced uniform, then the "what do I wear?" factor is taken out of childs days, they can find better ways to express themselves, there's no distractions in class with unusual dress, and teachers can easily spot violations of the uniform.

I've already seen kids with hoods that look like horse heads and pants with dinosaur tails on them. Fucking ridiculous imo

god, that's ridiculous. And we all know how the "impoverished and unfortunate minority children" will dress...

>Germany
>calls their school a 'gymnasium'
>doesn't learn in the nude

Yes. Girls look hot in them. That blond is so hot. I prefer japs usually though.

yes
besides , it teaches discipline and responsibility

I do because schoolgirl uniform fetish

>Dah comrade! Cause everyone is equal in front of state.

Homogenise the kids mentality senpai. Make easy for them to be indictrinated.

School uniforms are a good opportunity to turn SJW logic on itself head to usher in decent standards instead of degeneracy.

Just point out that poor kids may not be able to afford decent/trendy clothes, which hurts their feelings, and making everybody wear the same thing is making them all equals. Now they have to accept conformity or be labeled elitists.

these

Yes
I believe in Socialized K-12 Education and School Uniforms.

The real reason they started making public school students wear uniforms is nigs would show up to school wearing gang colors. Up until about 2001-02 you could wear whatever you wanted (within reason) if you went to public school.

Moral of the story: niggers ruin everything.

no uniforms, but maybe a stricter dress code.

Yes

Unlike though, I believe the uniforms can be covered by the school budgets.. just up the School Tax a couple points to balance it all out.

what'u mean by socialised.

All schools in straya are uniforms only. Even stateschools.

Even on free clothes day, most people stick with the uniform.

No I meant in general. Just socialized K-12 Education. I don't think Families should spend a dime on K-12 Education.

No. There is a major problem with school uniforms and creates collectivism(the wrong kind, the red kind)

It doesn't stop bullying, creates tall bills for the working class parents, and they happen to be extremely uncomfortable in certain seasons(for example, certain schools do not allow the removal of a blazer in summer, so you basically die of the heat.)

I went to a private school with uniforms and it was great, not edgy clothes like the community schools.

I wouldn't encourage it at college level though.

I think that schools that have uniforms should be defunded if they take public money.

Nothing wrong with people wearing what they want.

Same here, my white friend. Had to wear a tie every day, nice slacks, and a shirt, chicks wore skirts/shorts. It was dank until I graduated.

imo school uniforms are just a simple way to make a school look more prestigious without actually being any better than a non-uniform school.

I think it should be illegal for a school which have uniforms to make girls wear skirts. Going the other way, boys should be able to wear shorts if they want to.

I support them cos I have to wear them as long as there are non-uniform days where people pay money to wear normal clothes (money goes to charity)

Schools should segregate boys and girls as well, OP.

Yes, and with designs like in my chinese cartoons.

>I prefer japs usually though.

this, also segregation based on ability/further direction like it used to be in germany few years ago

This. Uniforms are great and all the butthurt people who go on about getting rid of kids' individuality are retarded. If can't be an individual while wearing the same clothes as everyone else you probably don't deserve to be one.

They stopped doing that? Even shitty American public schools split you into different classifications from elementary to graduation.

Shitlibs will claim it's racism because Jamal can't afford uniforms. Then when the state pays for them they'll still say it's racist because he has to pay for a replacement. The United States is past the point of no retuen for this shit. How can we require kids to wear uniforms when we can't even require a valid ID when voting?

No. Let students express themselves and dress how they want.
Uniforms fix nothing but put a coat of paint over something rusting away. I except some to say "But it will make people stop dressing like whores", will it?
It all comes down to good parenting. If the parents have done their job then their kid will dress appropriately without being made to.
Mandatory uniforms would just be yet another example of school indoctrination and trying to make them raise kids.

Lol they are here at poor black inner city schools, and nowhere else unless you go to some stuck up private prep or boarding school maybe.

its a bit different, like technical schools for future blue collars high schools for white collars etc
well, they still have the system but germanons told me its in name only

Having been in both uniformed and non-uniformed school institutions, I can say that they don't really change anything

People still associate in cliques, along rich/poor, cool/uncool, smart/dumb lines. Clothes don't see to play a huge role in this. And people usually accessorrize, in different ways.. even stuff like school furniture, or school bags can be pimped up, and can be used to show wealth

They can be pretty cool if they're like in the related picture, but usally it's just a polo-shirt, a sweater and black trousers.

tl;dr they don't really matter, but if it's your fetish go for it

poor black schools are much more likely to require uniforms actually to discourage gang signalling.

and of course schools should have uniforms, and education until college should be segregated by gender. but everyone with any sense realizes both those things.

Teacher here. I ask my students about this yearly.

About 50% want uniforms. Reasons:

>looks cool (like in my Japanese anime and British movies)

>no more worrying about brands and clothes

>feel like part of a team

>must be cool ass uniforms

oh yes

yeah, because people in our current degenerate, valueless, expressive "individualist" world are less indoctrinated than they used to be.

Any school worth a shit has mandatory uniforms.

wtf alosha, is this even safe age

No and neither should school.

We'll never know, but FSB will.

Graduated two years ago

Our secondary school was exactly like this...you wear the same shit again and again, no need for expensive stolen adidas knacker clothes

Yes, schools should have uniforms.

Being able to dress like a "special snowflake", as OP puts it, is a personal freedom, and people should have as much of that as is feasible. So to the extent that personal freedom is limited, uniforms aren't a good idea. However, uniforms should also greatly reduce the gaps between rich and poor students, since everyone has to look the same. Of course, teenagers are still going to be angsty, insecure, cliquey assholes, but with uniforms they can no longer discriminate based on fashion.

I think we should have houses, clothes (uniforms), cars according to our function and rank on society.

Who gets to decide what your rank is?

why, KGB ofc.

A benevolent dictator, of course.

me

>all these pro uniform posts

Gas yourselves, you madochist weirdos. Kids and parents should chose comfort and style. "Class discrimination" be damned. What are you, a bunch of SJWs?

I felt like staying home every morning just because I hated wearing what they told me to wear. Literally ruined high school for me.

School uniforms would be awesome.

Yoga pants were the most distracting thing ever in middle/high school.

Good luck finding one.

That looks like Johan of Paradox interactive.
Wouldn't suprise me if it was actually him.

they are in my country :v
for publics school is a white robe with a blue ribon
for private schools they have their own

is he responsible for that retarded AI?

It is him. Look at the writing on the panel, it's Swedish.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wholesome, Christian uniforms for both boys and girls. They should be mandatory in all young persons' educational centers.

>dat pic
my god, some of them are actually white

I'm somewhat indifferent about uniforms, but I do think a dress code should be strictly enforced.

what the fuck is a christian uniform

Yeah definitely it will also make it so people won't get made fun of for having autism clothes.

...

>some of them
>not 90% of them

I ain't falling for that bait, letrine cleaner kun

>pic related, a catholic private school summer uniform

Also
>less than 20 portraits aka reskins of the others , broken planet names and some ship models no one cares about
>8 bucks
Jewhan's existence depends on overpriced Dlc

No need for uniforms. Just include in the dress code that you clothes shouldn't hug your body (aka your disproportionately large tits). T-shirt and shorts/jeans always work out.

he came up as the first image when i searched for 'Fat Otaku' on google image search.

>implying uniforms aren't more stylish than wearing whatever the fuck you want
Seriously, unless you're a degenerate who likes ghetto fashion uniforms are better. It's not like kids come in looking all proper in nice clothes anyway, and the overall look of uniforms on everyone is much better and keeps things feeling academic.

y-yes

pic unrelated

90% my arse i circled passable ones

>sweatervests over dress shirts and ties
>stylish

are you an accountant?

Second and third from the left in the bottom row are quite obviously asian.

When kids are in school they should dress like accountants. It's not the place for wearing skinny jeans and tank tops, so I'd call it more stylish in the context of what they should be wearing.

eh, hard to say really, since its not a frontal picture, but 90% chance they would pass as a native poles here

>When kids are in school they should dress like accountants

why, so kids can be even less excited to go to school?

What in the fuck are they wearing

No, there's a bunch of reasons. Most obvious is eliminating cliques based on fashion, but also to keep an academic environment. Just like most people have clothes for work as opposed to leisure, there should be clothes for school. It'd make kids less willing to go for a bit, but if everyone is doing it then there's no reason to feel bad about it. I went to a school with uniforms and everyone from other school bitched for like three or four days whenh they first came, and then they stopped caring. It's not even significantly more uncomfortable.

it also gives a greater sense of belonging. not to mention orderliness

do you ever wonder why mark zuckerberg or steve jobs wore the same clothes every day? It eliminates unnecessary decision making for the day and increase productivity and decreases stress

bottom second left is so appealing. she looks like she's straight out of an anime

>It eliminates unnecessary decision making for the day and increase productivity and decreases stress

yeah we cant have our kids thinking about anything other than work.

>P boy

Not fooling me Ivan

I don't think that's what he means. If you don't have to pick stuff out you have more time to pursue what you want, so if they are consciously wanting to think about movies and doodling, then uniforms won't help. If you do care about academics though, you'll be able to do it better without distractions.
