jèsucristo you are fucking good!

can anyone post some spanish or german for us to read?

one of my favourite poems

the pronunciation of the following words varies significantly across different accents in English. give it a try

Aunt, Roof, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught, Naturally, Envelope

vocaroo.com/i/s0xxrNDlZwqK

Jeez, Spanish spoken by Italians sounds really pleasing

9/10
iron, spitting image, and mayonnaise sounded a little off but only slightly. the rest sounded excellent
nicely done

let's make a test
read this, same thing translated in Italian

Alle cinque della sera.
Eran le cinque in punto della sera.
Un bambino portò il lenzuolo bianco
alle cinque della sera.
Una sporta di calce già pronta
alle cinque della sera.
Il resto era morte e solo morte
alle cinque della sera.

Il vento portò via i cotoni
alle cinque della sera.
E l’ossido seminò cristallo e nichel

Ossa e flauti suonano nelle sue orecchie
alle cinque della sera.
Il toro già mugghiava dalla fronte
alle cinque della sera.
La stanza s’iridava d’agonia
alle cinque della sera.
Da lontano già viene la cancrena
alle cinque della sera.
Tromba di giglio per i verdi inguini
alle cinque della sera.
Le ferite bruciavan come soli
alle cinque della sera.
E la folla rompeva le finestre
alle cinque della sera.
Alle cinque della sera.
Ah, che terribili cinque della sera!
Eran le cinque a tutti gli orologi!
Eran le cinque in ombra della sera!

thanks
I wanted to try it with an American accent as well but I'm not sure, it'll probably sound like a mockery of some sort

very good, only a very slight accent overall but i didn't notice no errors in pronunciation at all. impressive, nicely done

also very good. only ruin and syrup sounded a little off, but still 100% understandable, any native speaker would understand you without issue. good job. could you rate my spanish?

First attempt at Italian ever though

Thanks. I've been learning the language since I was a child, so reading those words aren't a problem.

is the thick accent on purpose?
10/10 btw

no that's how I actually speak

pretty good steppe warrior pronunciation, but i have a suspicion this is not how you would normally pronounce this, especially the R's

When I speak English I sometimes roll my R's and sometimes I don't. It depends on the word and the letters around it

japanese accent at its finest.

vocaroo.com/i/s0i5GN8F6vVp

was just wondering if you were german or not. mind posting some simple german text for us to try?

why are your walls made of paper in japan? It can't be very structurally sound

how are Japs so cute?

I'm a brit but I'll post some German. A German poster lurks here ready to get salty at people, I'm sure he'll rate you.

honestly not bad. no obvious mistakes. definitely an accent, but i understood it with no difficulty.

just curious... as Japanese speaker which sounds in English do you find the most difficult? I'd imagine those that don't exist in japanese like TH and L

I like the way Albama is pronounced

Actually I speak English as I spent years in the US.
I tried to exaggerate the typical Japanese accent, but maybe I failed a bit.
Well, I remember it was difficult to pronounce world and girl and squirrel.

vocaroo.com/i/s0IFUsO1D21O having mic issues for some reason

I tried

probably, i assume you used to go by nigel abroad. been at least a year or so since i've been on any vocaroo threads, but i used to post here much more often

Anyone post some French? The one from yesterday was noice.

vocaroo.com/i/s1V3YyAXrpDT

I'm honestly unsure if you are a native speaker who speaks a little "weird" on purpose. Anyway, pretty good

That's the one. You did some schooling in Berlin, right?

>route
This triggers the brit

nah, I wish. think you may be thinking of someone else. i've only spent about a week in germany several years ago while on vacation

i take this as quite a compliment. thanks man.
also i'd say 9/10. syrup sounded off and coupon sounded french for some reason (although i imagine that is the etymology of that word). but those are minor details, very nice

lads r8 my taytay impression

vocaroo.com/i/s0kEFelUq8AQ

well in that case I'm very impressed. Noice.

Someone pls try Japanese.

Kek, nice. who is taytay, though? If it's the woman in the pic then I definitely recognise her

Taylor Swift, American songwriter and major cute

Oh I know that name. Kek, I feel like a 60 year old. I wouldn't be able to tell you one of her songs if my life depended on it

Absolutely. Thank you too.
Yes, I was unsure about the English pronunciation and said it with the French word in mind.

Pretty good.
Near perfect.

Are you the basque learning jap by any chance?

Nah I’m just a jap.

Not bad, really. One or two words were a little hard to understand and the melody was a little off sometimes, but overall really not bad.
