they should give the north to sweden and norway

cold as fuck

average temperatures of -40ยบ during winter

> implying somebody want to live in a tundra

The majority of Canadians live within 100 km of the US border.

Why don't they just annex it?

...

Everybody south of the Red line should get an American flag.

Climate is a big reason, soil fertility is another, and the overwhelming cost to develop the infrastructure and transportation systems to connect it to the rest of the country is overbearing - something you'd need a stalinist reign to get done.

Not worth it either. Canada is already full enough. I for one like having miles and miles of accessible nature instead of never-ending suburb crawl.

>-30c
>bad
Weak Canadians

That's annual mean temperature. The coldest parts of Finland are equivalent to the pink part FYI.

>tfw live north of the red line
>have a funny accent

Because we like to be close to our american neighbours, albertans and frogmen are just weird

Americans don't deserve our enlightened rule.

canadians can't handle the cold

even the US has more people living in the tundras

Empty? U mean forest paradise?

>that feel when North America is in the post-grand conqueror phase of civilization
>only a matter of time before regional cultures develop and create enough cultural entropy to shatter Canada and USA forever

Because most of this land isn't suitable for living. Look up the Canadian Shield. Climate isn't an issue.

In the age of mass media? Not a chance. Regional cultures are already dying out. Look at Quebec, Maritimes, Louisiana, Appalachians, the South etc. North America is all going to be one big brown homogenous urbanized shithole within your lifetime.

You laugh at us now, but when global warming goes into full swing we will have the largest area of arable and inhabitable land in the world.

kill yourself liar

i seriously hope it shatters before that happens

it's going to be divided into new countries based on politics.
california, cascadia, south florida and texas all have seperatists

>populations of like 20 or 50 people

We'll be torn to pieces by our less fortunate neighbor(s) if our land becomes this valuable.

>country with less people has less people

ur a bright one

In Texas separatism is a meme. There would have to be something truly extreme, like a constitutional convention gone wrong or a failed ground war or something. Most ordinary folks support the Union. .

seperatist movements in usa are a meme everywhere. just saying that if the divide between right and left wingers continue while the us is declining, it can become pretty serious. countries that large almost always break at some point, and you have different people/culture/religions too which just speed it up

>Toronto
>enlightened rule

Fucking howling

>missing the point
canadian thinking skills

The only issue that I can see bringing leftists and rightists to blows would be the gun dilemma. But there's no way SCOTUS would ever allow gun prohibition, so it doesn't seem very realistic.

shut up swede the finns and danes get dibs before you.

im cold

Daddy USA will protect us.

danes can't survive in that climate.

they didnt have ussr to force people to live in such miserable places

Hopefully they have a less insane president when WW3 breaks out.

>implying the USA won't be the one partitioning us

Fuck off we are full

>seperatist movemen
think of it in terms of centuries, not decades. it WILL happen.

What does below -10C actually feel like?

If you have never been to the northern parts of the country then you will understand. There is nothing there. Some mines and oil camps that they pay you stay in and do nothing but work.
Yes, that is were Ontario and Quebec are located. They are the most populated provinces. Why is this always brought up?

Canadians are a bunch of tsun-tsuns that try and act like they are so much better than Americans, they try and pretend they are the great white north. In reality they snuggle up next to us for warmth, the steal our hoodies too.
We almost did
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annexation_movements_of_Canada

It's cold, the soil tends to be quite thin, natural vegetation tends to consist of heath, pine, spruce, or past a certain latitude - nothing at all.

There's no reason to go to most of those empty spaces, nevermind live there.

Can Justin Cuckdeau seriously make laws and shit that are supposed to apply over that ENTIRE landmass when 90% of the civilization is right by the American border?

Some fucked up shit. The Inuit should secede from Canada !

OK without wind and 45% humid

have you ever met a canadian

they're all fucking depressed

none of them want to go outside

It's insanely cold. Basically Siberia-tier.

...

It's not quite cold enough for urine to freeze on its way out of the urethra, but it is cold enough for the surface of your skin to freeze if you're out in a strong wind for 30-60 minutes.

The worst part about -10 is that it's still warm enough to feel like a damp cold, and still allows for snow. Up until the point where exposure becomes mildly dangerous, a dry, clear -15-20 usually seems warmer than a snowy -10.

It's true for the most part.

I love being out in the cold. I have to remind my Russian employers that I was bred for this shit (Norweg-Finn x Eskimo/Frog), and that it's a nice walk to the office any time of year.

Second this. Wind and humidity is your worst enemy, not the temperature.

...

Also, the most fun part about below -25 is when you try to drink something (like cola), it freezes in bottle almost immediately.

The simple fix is to dilute it with vodka or whiskey.
