Outside of the Marvel baby covers, Skottie Young is a good artist. Read the first seven issues, glad he did this.

...

Yeah, Young nailed it with this rendition of Rocket Raccoon.

I was thinking of reading that run of Rocket? Is it good? Does it conclude?

>“‘Miserable mid-life male’ is my specialty,” Russell explained. “I got a call from Dan DiDio who asked me if I was interested in writing it. I think he had me in mind because of the work I did on Prez, which was basically social satire, and that was the angle he wanted to go with The Flintstones, too. To be fair, DC knew what it was getting into when they asked me to write it,” Russell continued. “They can’t claim to be surprised now, because I’m writing it the same way I wrote Prez, which is biting, satiric and to a large extent an examination of human misery.”

This design of Rocket is so perfect. Its like 30 years later we solved Rocket Raccoon

Despite the hate for Slott this was the most interesting spider book in years.

you know why I liked Beaulieu's run of RR? It reminded me of Ratchet and Clank. It was like R+C written by competent people.

...

that's a dope story

I honestly didn't think I would like Yost's Scarlet Spider as much as I did.
>Clone Saga stuff
>Kaine, who was always shit
>Muh edgy "I'm a monster" stuff
>Using Kraven

It seemed like a recipe for something bad, but man was it fun.

Why's starlord a tranny?

O

This. I laughed harder than I have in a while when reading this

Yep, and the rest of Conquest was actually pretty shit despite what nu-Sup Forums would now have you think.

No, heavy metal lesbian space dragon waifu does not a good book make.

>heavy metal lesbian space dragon waifu does not a good book make

For all the legitimate criticisms you could have levied (Ultron being an out-of-context villain, everything being Quill's fault, WRAITH) you choose to focus on the exact type of OTT stupidity that makes comics awesome.

We are not friends, user.

>tranny
Kitty Pryde is a real woman you know.

Hit all the right notes for me. Good story, good art. Glad the story is getting back on track after the pre-Rebirth filler.

yeah this one of the few slott spidey stories i actually enjoy.

nuff said

Blew my expectations out of the water.

>implying slott wasn't the worst writer

Outdone by Yost and every other person that wrote Spock.

>that story wilma tells of her handprint paintings being something from her childhood as a way to remember everyone from her tribe
>all those visual gags
>all that nonpreachy social commentary
>all that hilariously awkward introduction of technology
>everyone is ripped and/or hot

This was surprisingly moderated and unexpectedly fun.
Who would have thought that stoner spiderman can be so much fun

It wasn't perfect, but overall the story was great.

>POWERGOAT

This book has no right being as good as it is.

You know what was a real miss though?
That one book where Groot was narrating so every bit of dialogue was I Am Groot.

All the marketing made me dread ms marvel for a while.

It has some flaws but the new batgirl took me by suprise to.
