Why aren't there any female slasher villains?

Why aren't there any female slasher villains?
Are they not threatening enough? Is it just one of those unwritten rules?

Jason's mother was the original slasher villain in the first movie
There's also Sleepaway Camp and a couple of characters in Scream

Yeah, but Jason and Ghostface became slasher icons and they aren't women/feminine. It's almost a technicality.
I'm not saying no films exist where women kill a bunch of people - just that the big slasher villains aren't women (or known as women): Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Jigsaw, Ghostface, Chucky, Candyman, Freddy Krueger... there's no female character like that, unless we go full horror with The Ring or something like that.

er hello.... Psycho much?

>Psycho
Don't believe my son's lies - he's the killer!

Deep Red (1975) has a female slasher villain.

Also one of the best soundtracks ever made.

who cares, numale faggot?

wow what a keen insight, and original response!

cause a slasher villain wouldn't fit the female mindset, women indulge themselves in psychological horror. Pic related is the best example for a female horror villain

chucky

>makes a shit thread
>gets upset
sorry, pussy

Life Force count as one?

also an addition, Mrs Voorhees was the original Jason in the first Friday the 13th

>guy escapes police
>randomly gets hit by truck and dragged through the streets
>car runs over his head
I liked the movie but that part actually made me laugh at how random it was

>villain
Um ...no sweetie

Besides Scream 4?

Kathy Bates is so fucking great.

Slasher villains are for the most part enforcers of a traditional Christian set of values enforcing what is seen implicitly as acceptable use of violence against people going against this ideology. Girl gets her tits out, that's a slashing, couple has premarital sex, that's a slashing, someone's doing drugs, slashing, skinny dipping, slashing, etc etc. Why do you think so many slasher victims are teenagers? These are the open-minded fun loving souls ready to step out of line and defy the values of the societies they were privileged enough to grow up in.

As for the question itself - Slasher villains are primarily male for the same reason the large majority of Christian officials are male. Work it out.

Cheerleader Camp
Sorority Row

i also want female slashers.

If there needed to be a new one call it
"Woman on the Rag."
poster tag line: "there's gonna be lots of blood. Hers and theirs..."

Make up some story:
In 1895 a woman died while she was one the rag. Flash forward to today, her spirit takes over women having thier monthly and goes a a murderous killing spree.

The alien from species
Sleepaway camp: though I think the twist is that shes a tranny
The howling/ginger snaps i think both had females who turned into werewolves.
Mothers Day- though the mom commanded her boys to do the dirty work
Cereal Mom- though it was more of a comedy than a horror

It's more intimidating when a big dude like Jason is coming after you

>Why aren't there any female slasher villains?

>describe woman as evil is sexism

TFW He don't know about hollywood is nothing but jewish fan-fiction

I wince every time I watch the scene where she breaks his legs.
