>How about that Mike Baron and his wonky fuckin' ideas?
Mike Baron was at a con I went to last weekend. It was honestly kind of sad, he was the only person I saw who was not only on their feet put just arms stretched out holding his comics out to get people's attention

Cons seem sad in general

>Cons Don't get me wrong, the idea has potential, but the celebrity zoo/flea market/movie theater hybrid that seems to exist now is awful

DragonCon is pretty spacious in Artist's Alley so it never felt sad, nice seeing people like Nate Powell with people lined up and Dean Motter of Mister X fame sold out of books . I bought some art from Don Rosa and he brought some of his home grown peppers to his booth because I guess that's his hobby now, growing his own spicy peppers
The vendors and celebs are the areas that get really crowded since it's far more of a pop culture thing than a comic thing, I got some great deals
Ryder Brooks
but back to your point about Baron...it astounds and saddens me how underappreciated many of the greats are. "If your Batman story didn't get turned in to a movie then you can fuck off" seems to be the idea.
How the hell isn't Terry Moore outselling BKV? (And now I'm retreading a decades-old conversation....Why don't Love and Rockets sell X-Men numbers?!?)
Jackson Murphy
see...I really should take advantage of a medium sized con like that. My opinions are soured by AMC AT COMICON WOOO MOUNTAIN DEW KEVIN SMITH ZOMIES!!
And there are probably some great events out there I should seek out.

>KEVIN SMITH
God he's getting another tv show. I think it's just him and some actor doing a late night show about pop culture and Geek is somewhere in the title. Kevin Smith at this point is like if all the worst aspects of G4 came to life as a person
James Lewis
>Kevin Smith at this point is like if all the worst aspects of G4 came to life as a person i love it.
