Schwimmer on band of brothers

Why did they put this doofus on band of brothers? It was almost a perfect show besides him, and the guy from office space. Seriously why did they add these guys to the show?

because we all need somebody to hate

fucking ross

WE WERE ON A BREAK

(((they))) needed (((another))) solid actor.

>france: let's defend the maginot line
>"PIVOT PIVOT"

I don't know how he keeps getting work. He's never convincing as anything other than David Schwimmer.

He wasn't even a good character to hate though. I could appreciate that. He didn't even play a bad guy convincingly. It's just "that guy from friends that's trying too hard"

>one of his buddies gets shot
UH GUYS? WE WERE ON A BREAK????

Get out of my fucking head OP. I just watched the first 2 eps last night when I had insomnia on amazon prime. Fuck... my Dad loved this show. I miss him.

MY SANDWICH

wasn't he one of the main producers?

What work does he keep getting? Just a role here and there for almost 2 decades. Not even starring roles

...

Fun fact, he tried to blow his brains out by shooting himself through the temple but it instead severed his optic nerve. He was blinded and died 17 years later in a miitary care facility

Sorry about your dad user. I watched the first couple episodes last night too.

Mine is getting old. 72 now. I don't call him enough

david schwimmer isn't dead you retard

The guy he played you silly billy

>He doesn't know they're based on actual people

Well, the guy his character was based on probably wasn't a bad guy, and was essentially a guy that 'tried too hard'.

who is chandler based on then

Goebbels

The main character in full metal jacket

joey?

>That scene where Jimmy Fallon drives up to the group.

Me and my dad rewatch this all the time. Sorry for your loss.

He was perfect in the scenes where he was terrible in the training maneuvers.

Gobble my cock

sobel was an idiot kike, schwimmer is an idiot kike

bravo hanks desu

Remember in band of brothers when Mel Brooks and woody Allen get captured and banter about how they could never catch a lucky break as they're swinging upside down in a torture chamber

They were both perfect though

Literally the best Sobel moment

>that scene when Jerry Seinfeld escapes a German prison and before leaving he trips a young soldier and throws a pie in his face
>the commanding soldier howls in laughter about "that jew made a real fool out of you Adolf!"

I thought he was going to have a larger role. I was genuinely disapointed

>"I was part of the HBO television mini-series Band of Brothers™"

Wow really?

Winters just had to get one last fuck you huh?

Posts like these always get me really bad

Remember in WWII when Mel Brooks fought in the Battle of the Bulge?

>He trained his men intensely, and was eventually promoted to the rank of captain in recognition of his ability as a trainer. Yet for all of that – Sobel was despised by his soldiers for being petty and vindictive
>Sobel was portrayed as a petty and capricious martinet in the television series Band of Brothers, generating much debate.[12] Stephen Ambrose gives numerous examples of this in his book.[13] Since the series, his son Michael has spoken out on his behalf.[12] In interviews, some Easy Company veterans have acknowledged the part Sobel's training played in the company's later successes. Writing of him in their autobiographies, he is recalled with little fondness by fellow officers, who regarded him as a dilettante in the practical matters of ground combat, particularly due to his pronounced lack of understanding of common infantry field craft such as land navigation and basic infantry combat tactics, as well as a refusal to listen to the advice of fellow officers or NCOs.

He never said pivot. Where does this meme come from?

He is Jewish

>n 1970, Sobel shot himself in the head with a small-caliber pistol. The bullet entered his left temple, passed behind his eyes, and exited out the other side of his head. This severed his optic nerves and left him blind. He was later moved to a VA assisted living facility in Waukegan, Illinois. He resided there for his last seventeen years until his death due to malnutrition on 30 September 1987. No services were held for him after his death.

UNAGI

nice

He had no living relatives and basically went insane inside a VA hospital until he died.

There's a theory he was hated because he was the only Jewish paratrooper company CO but I'm sure no one in 1940s America was antisemitic so that must be false.

everyone has always hated jews

...

Could THIS be any more of a liebensraum?

Are any of these men still alive today?

Yes. Fewer by the day.

REVOKED

>we will live in a world without WWII veterans in the next 2 decades

>everyone on this site will be WW3 veterans within the next 8 years.

>tfw tried to join mil but got rejected for medical reasons
felt bad at the time but i'll be nice and comfy shitposting on Sup Forums while you niggers are eating IEDs and getting infected with Zika in venezuela

He plays an inept douchebag and does it decently well. Also, 'the guy from Office Space' has a fine role.

If you keep trying to be this contrarian, you're going to turn inside out or spontaneously combust.

At least we'll get to rape Venezuelan bitches while you stay a virgin.

More like jews have been cunts always and everywhere.

>hating on our favorite drunken soldier

pls go and stay go

I like this new meme

Don't remember this show at all, but he looks the part of a douchebag CO. Something about his face strikes me as the kind of guy you'd see back in those days.

Was anybody else bothered by this blatant and totally anachronistic instance of product placement?

why would you think that. he played 1st battalion shiter not airborne

Thats not even the worst part about it

>died from malnutrition because the care facility forgot about him

>On December 11, 1967 Blithe was taken to the emergency room at Wiesbaden Hospital, Germany, where he was admitted with a diagnosis of a perforated ulcer. He died in the intensive care unit, on December 17, 1967 after surgery, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full honors.[7] In the mini-series Band of Brothers closing text of the third episode incorrectly states that Blithe died December 17, 1948, due to never fully recovering from his wound (bullet to the neck).
Why couldn’t the producers check Wikipedia to make sure that they weren’t getting their facts wrong?

youtube.com/watch?v=n67RYI_0sc0

Wikipedia had been around for like 6 months when this came and the internet was piss slow at the time.

Stephen Ambrose made lots of shit up tbqh

Fuck off he was perfect for that role.

Why couldn’t he just use the toilet like a normal person?

He's a novelty act.

"oh! this one has ross from friends in it!! let's watch that!"

>you're not an alcoholic user
>it'll happen to you too

They probably just wanted to justify not having Marc Warren in any more scenes.

Are some people so autistic that their immersion is completely broken when they recognize an actor in a supporting role?

And look where his career went from there...

What if he turned out to have an allergy though?

The emphasis is on the BE not the THIS you fucking chump

Why didn't Ross not simply eat the other soldiers?

My dad is a piece of shit and I hope he dies in a fire

This, only plebs dislike Schwimmer
He was also fantastic in Curb

>IS THERE A PROBLEM, CAPTAIN SOBEL?
>WHAT IS THE GODDAMN HOLD UP, MR SOBEL?

>You GOYIM are members of easy company. Not dog company, not Fox company, easy company. You GOYIM will be jumping out of planes to save the chosen people from complete annihilation by the Germans! 40,000 of you GOYIM aren't worth a single jewish finger nail!
woah the director's cut sure was weird huh?

>everyone on this site will be WW3 veterans within the next 8 years.

Fuck that, I ain't fighting no shitty World War I rerun #2. I'll be a veteran of the Second American Civil War if anything.

would you look at that kike face

So how many of you faggets actually served? Anyone here got any combat experience? 8 years army. 3 deployments. Glad I'm out now

You're in 4F HQ you fucking normie. GTFO

Looks like a gay porn dvd cover.

4 years experience playing ARMA 3

Shits intense brah. Almost smashed my mechanical keyboard from rage.

Those soldiers need to lose fucking weight.

Is that Colbert in the middle?

So no
Got it

>Michael confirmed that none of Sobel’s immediate family were in attendance when he died in 1987. Yet that part of the story requires explanation as well.

>To Michael’s knowledge, a memorial service was not held. “Our contact with him had waned over the years,” Michael said, “and when he passed we were unaware of the event. His sister attended to the details. It was days, perhaps even a week, after he died that his sister phoned my mom to let her know.”

>The death certificate listed malnutrition as the cause.

damn

Marines, puss-e

I was saying what I was dumb cunt.

So you got your name right on the ASVAB?
Good job!

Marines and Army except GED. I know I was a recruiter for while. No GED here though, got my diploma, even user the GI bill to get my bachelors. Don't hate devil dog. At least you served unlike all these other faggots.

Autism is a helluva condition.

5 years US Navy. Half of it was spent with the 2nd Mardiv, but we never deployed. I was basically begging to go before my contract was up but everything was basically shutting down in the middle East by 2014-2015. I still feel a lot of regret and shame for never deploying even though it was out of my control. Civvies don't understand, they just think I am crazy for wanting to go to war.

i've served in the special forces of every major country
