Why don't we simply ELECT members of the Supreme Court?

Why don't we simply ELECT members of the Supreme Court?

Because then the jews would rig that as well

That's a strange way to spell shoot.

Because I don't want normie dumb-fucks picking judges.

Because if they're up for election then they can be bought or swapped out when it suits corporate and financial interests.

To get rid of a Justice on the SC they have to die/be murdered like Scalia was or step down.

Then kikes and shills can't bribe politicians to get the job, they'd have to appeal to the masses instead.

Term limits

Ginsburg is senile and needs to go

I tend to agree with this. Let's say justices only got maybe 20 years or something with no opportunity to ever be a justice again. What harm would that do?

We elected GWB. Twice. Then we elected Obama. Twice. Fuck the voters.

What the fuck pol?

This was an easy one... You have them as lifetime appointment to SLOW change across generations and political whims. It also cant be elected because ALL elections can be purchased.

Because then it would be democracy...

...

That'd be too much democracy, founding fathers made sure that doesn't happen.

>be murdered like Scalia
Who would murder Scalia? Obama?

For what reason? His immigration executive action was overturned regardless

Because we don't want judges, who interpret the constitution and not simply adjudicate criminal activities, to be swapped out every few years and at the whim of the mob. Lifetime appointments are designed to temper the will of the people.

"elect". Well Gore won the popular vote and unelected supreme court justices decided the election, so not exactly.

No they didn't, Gore fucked up his case and then eventually dropped it.

Horrible idea. Changing the senate to elected positions was also a horrible idea.

Because some positions in Government need actual skills, and are not suited to be filled by a popularity contest.

Senate was elected, just not by the masses.

Regardless of the outcome of the Florida election, which no one will ever truly know, Gore won based on popular votes.

They were elected by state legislatures which is how it should have remained.

I'm all for repealing that amendment. It's key to having states resume their rightful power.

Yes, Gore won the popular vote nationally. But, the SCOTUS didn't decide the election. Gore asked for the wrong recount, and then kept asking for extensions despite the recount never going his way, and not offering up any precident (which existed). SCOTUS finally told him to fuck off and adhere to the deadline because there was no compelling reason to keep recounting after the third count.

Ironically, if he had agreed with W and recounted the entire state, instead of the few selected liberal counties he asked to recount, he would have won.

fucked up how? he won the popular vote, he deserved to be president.

see

Ok so shouldn't the Supreme Court have mandated a statewide recount instead of coincidentally the 5 Republican IRL judges handing the election to the guy who lost the popular vote? I don't love Gore OR Bush but the whole affair was very crooked.

Bcuz elections politicize judges...

>Why is Pol so retarded..
>you are not a winner
>accept your roll in life or go to school to improve.
>sitting in you need Ave, hoping some idiot politician will improve your lot in life is beyond knee grow tier
>that's right you Pol fags are worse than knee gurs bcuz you're advocating violence and state control.
