thanks for the bread
Isaac Reyes
Wish I had more to post but it seems like a slow day.
Usually slow days are because a lot of stuff is about to happen though.
In this case, I assume Kurdish/SAA clashes are ahead.
Julian Butler
I also can't find anything useful to share strange time everyone is sharing just propaganda bullshit I know that negotiations are going on behind the curtains but can't find any info or leaks really
Ethan Young
Indeed.
I can't imagine that negotiations will lead to anything though. The Kurds want their bullshit country, the Americans want to fuck Syria/Iran/Russia/Turkey.
I think the next big news will be operations by Turkey. Perhaps the withdrawal of pro-Turkey FSA groups from Idlib and their redeployment to N. Aleppo to fight Kurds. Who knows.
Reminder that South Front videos will stop soon for about a week, as usual as they beg for money.
Ian Diaz
>I think the next big news will be operations by Turkey. Perhaps the withdrawal of pro-Turkey FSA groups from Idlib and their redeployment to N. Aleppo to fight Kurds. Who knows.
withdrawal? I don't think so. there were some reports of some FSA troops are ready to attack N. Aleppo from turkish borders couple of days ago which didn't happen yet which is weird. just some shelling from turkish sides were reported which is nothing new of course this time they are openly targeting kurd forces too Ive also read some reports that this hill was captured by SAA and they have started to advance to Armament College if this is true this can mean that the only road to east aleppo was cut right?
Samuel Reed
Im retarded, Whats this thread about?
Parker Miller
They did take the hill but the road is not cut.
And I think Turkey would rather use it's FSA fighters to combat Kurds in N. Aleppo then to reinforce Idlib which is not really in danger.
Turkey will sacrifice Aleppo city to prevent the Kurds from reaching Afrin.
The troops you heard about are, I think, from Azaz. They just crossed through Turkey to reach Jarbalus or whatever it is called.
SAA does appear to want to cut off East Aleppo again and I think the fact they retook much of the 1070 & entered deep into the Technical College show that the JaF/Nursa/Ahrar coalition is in deep trouble logistically.
Benjamin Scott
This thread is about the ongoing war in Syria.
Hence the title - Syria General
Zachary Rogers
Thank you. I thought I found /sg/ but it turned out to be a roach nest.
Asher Peterson
Dude, that's not a hill.
Ryder Harris
On second look, I think they lost that hill and only kept one much further East...
There was a map I saw describing it one second as I look...
here you go. They do not have al-Taslih but they do have Al-alqara
Henry Smith
Why are kurds so good at fighting compared to the syrian army and rebels?
Dylan Rodriguez
They aren't. We had a foreigner who fought with the YPG post a few days/week ago.
He said they were shit fighters and tacticians in general, like everybody around them.
Chase Moore
>They did take the hill but the road is not cut. thats Khan tuman road to Ramouseh and there are some reports that SAA entering the army base from this side too this one is new EHSANI2 @EHSANI22 5m5 minutes ago >Reports about possible Syrian army entry back into the artillery school of #Aleppo
>much of the 1070 1070 is not stable at all from west side. its under heavy fire from that hikma school but they managed enough of it to make a way to enter army base from this side in pic
Luis Wood
I think "tell" in arabic means hill or something like that that's why I said it
Nicholas Smith
So it's just that everybody is shit but they're the least shit?
Jaxon Sullivan
Nationalism is the greatest force in the world
Justin Hernandez
they lost it 2 days ago then again recaptured it I think. but yup we should wait for confirmation
Christopher Roberts
it boils down to nationalists vs conscripts
even Stalin had to appeal to russian nationalism during WW-2
Kayden Cox
Aren't they a bunch of anti racist libertarian socialist y a h o o s?
Connor James
Well, they also get quite a lot of foreign help. US airstrikes, weapons deliveries from Europe etc.

Fuck off with your Sup Forums anecdotal evidence. The Kurds are demonstrably fighting fantastically well, even with the shitty guns they have. They do well because they aren't afraid to die, it's very simple.
And fuck the Assad loving OP too, he's a shithead who may have just lost himself the war. The SDF now need only to take Al Bab and they can save Aleppo from the regime.
Liam Edwards
WTF I HATE KURDS NOW LITERALLY DINDU'S.
I was pretty neutral against kurds as a turkroach and pro-SAA guy. with recent happenings i clearly support whoever fights kurds.(maybe except ISIS)
Earlier then, they're working with jihadis. and when the "moderates" in bad situation they backstab them ( siege of Aleppo) later, they seem like they are ok with assad but NO. they can't control their behaviour and backstab Assad again. It's like in their genes.
Motherfuckers seems like they will capture all of Hasakah. They can celebrate their short term victories. But i have a feeling that they already push the limits so far and certainly suffer the consequences.
Jeremiah Lewis
Since things are a bit slow here is an update from that spitting virgins dude, the mufti of Jaish Al Fateh. I don't know if this was mentioned in previous threads desu He was ranting about uniting the groups and some rebel groups are not uniting because their sponsors are telling them not to, there is an article claiming he's blaming the moc in Jordan. He is also asking for more recruits to flock in, saying all they have to do is go through Turkish borders as it lets anyone go. So yeah expect some neo headchopping groups getting together or breaking apart
Christian Williams
They've had years of practice so...
They seem a lot more organized than everyone else in the region as well, a bit like the Jews or something like that.
Levi Martin
> The Kurds are demonstrably fighting fantastically well, even with the shitty guns they have
that is all and good until you remember they had lost all of northern kurdish aleppo to ISIS, and ISIS was only stopped in Kobani by endless waves of aerial attack by USA
Julian Roberts
Right, but they barely had any heavy weapons, just small arms. Whereas ISIS had many captured tanks and other tracked vehicles, including SVBIEDs. The Kurd did well holding them off that long.
Adrian Wright
I can only say it is gonna be great when russian bombs start to rain over the k*rds
Vietnam-style proxy war now?
Joseph Jones
its all based on how many shekels he is willing to spend. not many virgins left after aleppo offensive to be promised

Regime warplanes bombed YPG-held Afrin for the first time during the war (30 min ago). All out confrontation when?

I don't know anyone cheered for the Kurds in the first place, they were always fighting to push their own agenda.

They are not arabs... It's nothing new really. Historically kurds were better fighters than Arabs. It took the leadership of a kurd to finally beat back the crusader states

>Historically k*rds were better fighters than Arabs TOPKEK. There is no k*rdish history. There is no single k*rdish state in the history of mankind. Arabs, Circasians and Turks were in the Saladin's Army. Arabs may suck at modern warfare but they somehow managed to conquer tons of lands back in the times of caliphates.
Austin Lee
apparently source is twitter.com/AleppoAMC these guys trying to heat up situation btw kurds and Assad by shilling from hours ago.
Juan Kelly
They didn't have any (or rather many) heavy weapons, small arms sure but not tanks, bmps, or even many technicals, some RPGs maybe but that's about it.
Carson Moore
Kurds are biting more than what they can chew
their success had come from taking territory that ISIS had previously pacified
Noah Garcia
If you hate jews get in here
Nolan Howard
>Hasaka
Why are they attacking to begin with?
Nathan Kelly
Sure, but they had the most intense US air support scene since the start of coalition airstrikes in Syria.
US was conducting more strikes on Kobani then they were on Manbij.
Hudson Collins
Could this be the future of Sheikh Maqsoud and Afrin?

USAF,Foreign fighters,USA special forces, western aids??? ????????????????

Don't think so, it's not part of Rojava's claimed territory, and there's probably too much government AND FSA forces there for that to be a probable outcome.
Cooper Myers
He is just posting MS paint maps, as always.
Nothing he says is based in reality.

Just another jihadist sympathizer?

Yes, his other predictions include the FSA conquering Aleppo and then sweeping all SAA strong holds until they reach Jordan.

When the English and french devided power in the ME they fucked over the kurds. Who ended up split between iran iraq turkey and syria. With all these having interests against kurd independance. 80 years is not that significant in historical terms
Alexander King
When I think of brits/french/irish/ect. i think of skinny, thin-skinned, lack of backbone people who are all proper and politically correct and never gotten their hands dirty before. Never touched a gun or been in a fight. Their upbringing has basically "pussified" them. They are pansies in almost every war, let muslim terrorists stomp all over their land, and are fans of one of the most wussiest sports known to man.. hell i could probably beat up any Brit on this site even though i am trained in Muay Thai
The only ones to actually pull off massive shit in the region were the Turkmens and Cumans/Kipchaks.
Lincoln Davis
It's not even the USAF support that much. Often, ISIS is preoccupied fighting larger threats to them namely the SAA and Iraqis
